This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new WINTER/SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

ReplyDeleteI didn't make it in this weekend, since I didn't get my Rewards card yet. p.s. I do have a few new arrival reviews posted today.
ReplyDeletei bought the painter stripe t (#62114) and plain white version (#34082) in small because they were $10 off in the store (plus i had my rewards card)... also bought the fanfare popover in XS even though it was full price... i know i'm going to get a lot of use out of it between layering it now under sweaters and wearing it by itself with shorts in the summer. tried on the scallop sateen skirt (#63860) in both 4 and 6. holy short skirt, batman! i would have take the 6 to wear lower on the hips if i decided to buy it. i wish i paid attention to the hem... maybe it could be let out for another inch of length. if the skirt was knee length, i totally would have bought it. also tried the chiffon skirt (#72299) in the aqua color in a 4... need to size up to a 6 for my thick waist. pretty but not me. i ended up ordering the jardin skirt (#48698) in the new blue color figuring its similar to the chiffon skirt, but a little more casual...
ReplyDeletewhew! :)
Yes, went in to return the Jules Waterfloral dress, and picked up the striped boatneck sweater in navy/apricot. Saw it in the catalog and was hoping it was in store - and it was! Love it. Other items coming today ordered through my PS online last Thursday.
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteVisited this weekend and posted some pics reviews on my blog. You can view the post here.
ReplyDeleteshopwithm,
ReplyDeleteYou don't need your rewards card in hand...or at least I never used to...The store new me so well and would call or look up my rewards for me. My online PS will also do it currently. However, since I have stopped spending much at J.Crew and/or chose not to use my J.Crew credit card I have not gotten a reward in about a year so don't know if current rules have changed..
I wandered to the factory store and found the lula leopard flats (from regular J.Crew, still FP at $138 online) for $39.97 with an additional 30% off. I was so happy! The main reason I go to the factory store is to see if they have any "real" J.Crew on the clearance rack... it was my lucky day!
ReplyDeleteJ.CrewJD, you lucky dog! It's sooooo rare that the Factory stores I've been to have anything from the real Crew....le sigh! Happy for you though!
ReplyDeleteOT, but is there a code out there for free shipping at Talbots? I really want to buy something but I just can't deal with paying $8 for shipping on a $25 order.
ReplyDeleteOT re: Website Re-Design = I barely noticed the re-design until JCA pointed it out, and now I just realized that they took away the "All-Time Favorites" section! That was actually one of *my* favorite features of the website because it was mostly made up of their classic pieces and bestsellers (i.e., those items that are still good quality and wear well). I always head there first when I get a rewards card so that I can see where I'll get my money's worth. Boo.
ReplyDeleteWas kind of disappointed that my local store seems to only have vintage cotton tees, perfect shirts, and Tippi sweaters. I felt like there was almost nothing I hadn't seen before! The salesperson made an odd comment about how JC is threatening to take the Tippi sweater away from them if they don't sell more, which I found strange. I ended up with two of them in Citrus Lime and Succulent Green, although the Citrus Lime may go back - it's not just bright, it's an odd green-yellow tone.
ReplyDeleteWent to the NYC Prince St store. Kinda depressing since all the sale was sent back, but did get the Minnie's in navy because I got an insane amount of compliments on them in Vibrant Flame. Also caved on two pieces of extraordinary jewelry: the pinwheel necklace, and a cuff bracelet that I no longer see online.
ReplyDeleteWent to the Towson, MD store. Its gotten a lot bigger since they stopped carrying men's, unfortunately they decided to maintain the same number of items (i.e. they dont have a shoe section or carry coats and have a token item from each category) at an increased volume. Kinda lame.
ReplyDeleteI did get the cotton v neck in heather mist in my usual xs. It has a relaxed fit which I really love. Waiting for spring sale/new leather sandals to use the rewards card.
Went to do returns. A lot of great color. NO sale items. Everything has shipped out. I thought the fanfare jacket in navy looked very well done. Online pics don't do it justice. I did not try it on though. It isn't really my style and I could tell it would likely be way too cropped for my height.
