Wool Herringbone Jacket / Blazer (Robert Noble Wool), Grey, Size 0
The classic blazer from the Fall / Holiday 2005 season. Beautiful quality and worn only once or twice and is like new. Has contrasting silk under the collar and on the inner pocket. Woven leather buttons, inside tag that says "Finest Scottish Cloth, Woven in Scotland by Robert Noble, Peebles Scotland".
The J. Crew size tag was removed (so that the lining could move easily) but it is definitely a size 0.

design is very elegant A-line with figure flattering inset button detail at the waist. more feminine than lady day. without all the seaming detail of the lady day that makes the coat more constrictive. double cloth is very soft and warm, not stiff wool like some other coats.

ReplyDeleteMissoni for Target Queen Duvet Set, mini chevron zigzag, NWOT. This is the one with the blue backing. It is really 'Missoni' looking IMO. I have just decided that it doesn't go with my decor. It has never been used or put on the bed but I did launder it according to label instructions, as I always do with sheets from a store. Set is Queen duvet with button closure, and 2 standard shams, (and the matching fabric bag they come in). They are really nice IRL, as there is sort of an embossed zig zag on the fabric as well as the pattern. $120 plus $10 ship (in US, email for out of US shipping).
Missoni for Target throw pillows, felt multicolor zig zags. NWOT. I kept these till now thinking I would use them as for the duvet, hence cutting off the tags, but they don't match my sofa. $50 for the set, plus $10 ship as above. $25 each, $7 ship.

the color is a true, saturated red: neither neon nor orangey.
the shape of the madeline is an elegant a-line which is more form-flattering than the lady day, IMO. It doesn't have all the seaming detail so it's less constrictive and more feminine. the inset design attenuates your waist in a very slimming way. the length is slightly shorter than the lady day - above the knee, so it goes well with pants/flats and boots as well as skirts and dresses/heels and boots.
the double-cloth wool is also much nicer than in other coats - it's warm and soft :) not stiff like the wool in some of the recent winter
coats.
