J.Crew Clearance Center Warehouse Sale {this weekend!}

A big "thanks!" to SC Crew who shared the following {fantastic} news with us!

J.Crew's Clearance Store in in Arden, North Carolina is having a major warehouse sale. This event takes place this weekend:
Saturday, March 27th (10AM to 4PM)
Sunday, March 28th (10AM to 4PM)

"Thanks!" again to SC Crew who also shares the following insightful observations with us:
It's definitely worth the trip, but some notes:
  1. Wear a tank top and tights if you want to try stuff on. There are no dressing rooms and you get a better idea of the fit this way.
  2. Be prepared to sift through boxes. Look at items very carefully as many have rips or stains. Lots of samples too.
  3. All sizes!! Men, Women, Crewcuts, shoes, accessories
  4. They will give you a price sheet and a garbage bag when you walk in. My advice, stuff anything you think you are interested in and go through it later.
  5. If you are going to the Clearance Store too, you can't take your Warehouse purchase in. You also can't take your Clearance Store purchase in the Warehouse store.
  6. Take a credit card and leave everything else in the car. You need both hands for this adventure!
  7. Keep looking. Stuff gets thrown back in the boxes all the time!
From what I hear, this sale is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! As mentioned in the December 8th "J.Crew Clearance Center Warehouse Sale {drool-worthy}" post, refer also to DinaGideon's "J.Crew Clearance Center, Arden, NC...It Is as Awesome as it Should Be!!!" post over at her {phenomenal} My Superfluities blog.

The prices & quality of merchandise are nothing like the ridiculous NYC sample sales. The warehouse typically offers reasonable prices for better quality items, some of which are still in-season. :)

The location for the store is:
J.Crew Clearance Store
1 Clifford Way (off N.C. 191)
Arden, NC 28704

Congrats to all those in the area!!! :)

  1. Going through boxes!!!! Doesn't sound "amazing" to me. Maybe if I was 20 again but no longer find this a good time. And I will be in the area this weekend! Will keep on driving! Good luck to others willing to make the drive and/or hunt! I do like to hear what others find:)

  5. TRUST ME folks, this is a MUST go to, if you can. I stumbled upon the one in October and bought...

    - a polka dot bathing suit
    - houndstooth ear muffs
    - 3 spring/summer dresses
    - a BEAUTIFUL! ivory wool winter coat
    - a khaki trench coat
    - a swing cardigan/sweater
    - a cashmere zip-up sweater
(and I'm sure a couple of other things that I can't remember!)

All for $140! I mean, it was like Christmas!

The "cash only" checkout line is faster... So, take cash if you can! And they do NOT take your J.Crew credit card!

  7. I forgot to mention that I also saw women with wedding dresses! And the dresses were all one price - $20. So, I assume they got them for that. Ahhhh!

  8. Lately the warehouse sales have been mostly crewcuts, and it is not separated from the adult stuff. Very discouraging. But hopefully they will have new stuff this time.

Wedding dresses are $50. But c'mon that is still a good deal!!!

  9. It is really alot of work, I always leave with a headache. But it's kind of fun... I'd go with a partner. Going alone is pretty horrible.

  10. They have significantly raised prices since October... but it's still cheap. Just means you have to really inspect everything before buying. Sorry for multiple posts... it's one of those days!
