"Thanks!" to HDNB (of Hotdish & Bars) who let us know that there is a post on Racked (click here) about Geoffrey Fletcher wearing J.Crew's Ludlow Two-Button Tuxedo Suit. HDNB also shared coverage from The Choosy Beggar (click here) which had the following to say:
We had no plans to cover the Academy Awards, really, but it's worth noting that Geoffrey Fletcher accepted the Oscar for best adapted screenplay -- and then made the best speech of the night -- in a $500 "Ludlow" Tux from J. Crew. (See the Ludlow in action here.) This is the menswear equivalent of Michelle Obama wearing Crew on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Also, readers regularly inquire about stylish and affordable formal attire. Take a cue from this Crew coup. But there's more!
"Thanks!" to Kathryn (of My Bag Overfloweth), Mickie, & CheesyGoodness (in this post) who let us know the following news. Actresses Olivia Munn and Eva Amurri were both spotted wearing J.Crew C0llection dresses. To see more photos, check out the post over at Just Jared (click here). Eva Amurri is wearing the Delphinia Gown (Item 24380; $350.00) in Pale Oak, while Olivia Munn is in the Streamer Gown (Item 20047; $1,800.00). The Streamer Gown only comes in Ivory, yet she is wearing a grey version. Maybe J.Crew will be offering the dress in more colors?
I love these J.Crew spottings! It's fun to see J.Crew at these high-profiled events along side other designer gowns. Go J.Crew!
What are your thoughts on any of the J.Crew items worn to the Oscars? Are you excited (like me!) to see J.Crew at these public events? :)
Sale update happened right before my eyes this morning at 430AM CST. 700 items, I MAY have snagged a charmed mini bag for 69.99, available for like 5 seconds. Better odds in Vegas ...
ReplyDeleteOT, I just got an e-mail saying that the new J Crew store in Fairfax Virginia (Fair Oaks Mall) is set to open March 23rd. So excited!
ReplyDeleteI love, LOVE the Delphinia! But like you, Heidi, I'd be all dressed up with nowhere to go. I do know I'll be going to a super-fancy wedding this summer...but something about wearing a floaty, floor-length, mostly ivory dress to a friend's wedding just doesn't seem right! :)
