  1. Was just at the J.Crew store yesterday! My top picks for the sales items include many of their flats released in the early Fall, statement necklaces and bracelets came out during the Summer, and even the Schoolboy Blazer in Houndstooth is on sale!

The Houndstooth blazer was a bit of disappointment though. I am normally a size 0 for their schoolboy blazers, but a size 0 for this one has a much wider shoulder and in the chest area. I would suggest buying one size down.

  2. Well OF COURSE the stuff I ordered on Friday and hasn't shipped yet is on sale now! Why does this always happen??? I guess I have to call up and beg for a price adjustment.

    1. Whenever I call, they are as nice as can be about giving an adjustment. I've never had them say no, or even bat an eyelash about it. Its also well within the price adjustment window.

    2. Stray Cat, I was thinking the same thing! I placed 3 orders on Friday and all that stuff is an extra 40% off (sigh).....

    3. The customer service gal was nice as pie....but I've never had any of them be anything but really nice when I call. She put me on hold for a minute then came back and told me the amount my order went down to. I told her thank you and hung up.....and then thought "Hunn??? That's more than 40% off!". I don't know why (girls can't do math?....ha) but I'm getting the sweaters for almost 50% off instead of 40% off! My lucky day I guess!

  3. Glad to see the extra 40% off again, but unfortunately the two items I had been contemplating were sold out by the time I checked my cart this morning. Now I'll be hoping for a popback before the promo is over.

  4. Has anyone tried the leather baseball cap? I don't think it was released all that long ago, but it's already final sale and could be a pricey mistake. If you've seen it IRL, was there a strap in back for adjusting the size? I usually need to snug up caps to keep them on my little pin-head. TIA!

    1. Yes, I tried it on, was too small for me-- I usually need size L (lots of hair)

    2. Don't remember the size adjustment option -- In fact, I don't think you can

    3. I have the leather cap. It fits like all the other caps and has an adjustment strap

  5. I am so tired of the discrepancy between stores and online. My husband bought four sweaters yesterday at 25% off. Today if ordered online, they would be 40% off, but the local store won't honor that. Well guess what, local store, we're going to return and rebuy online! Why do they have to make it so difficult?

  6. I'm going to try the Long Field Jacket. I'm on the shorter side, 5'4" and sz. S. Can anyone comment on if it might be too overwhelming for my size? I'm looking for a cute jacket option to throw over leggings and sweaters or sweatshirts, so would like that longer length. It's a great price!!

    1. It's returnable, and based on size info, I think it should be good. I also got the Pintuck Cami in the bright yellow color. I tried it on in store so I knew my size and it was really cute. For $15, it's a great little top I'll wear a lot w/cardis in the summer.

    2. I have the longer field jacket. I'm 5'2" and it hits me just a few inches above my knee. Definitely an okay length and not overwhelming. There is a drawstring waist too. It's my favorite! The only downside is the hood is attached with buttons and they come unbuttoned a lot.

  7. Thoughts on the classic duffle coat with toggle buttons?

    1. hi. This coat felt tight on the chest and armpit areas. It has a boxy fit too so sizing up might not help although I have not tried. I am usually a size 4P on on Jcrew coats and blazers. I really wanted it to work but had to return it. Hope that helps!

  11. Anyone tried to crewcuts darby loafer - the yellow ones? No reviews online. I'm a 6.5/7 in womens - wondering if the K5 loafer would work? (Darn you, final sale!!)

    1. I have been eyeing these forever and would also appreciate some feedback! I am a 6.5 and ordered the kids mcalister boot in a K5 and they were a little big...so I'm skeptical... :(

    2. No experience with those, but if you call or can catch online chat, they might be able to provide measurements to compare the two sizes?

    3. I wear a women's 5.5 with no socks, and for casual shoes I wear with socks, I will size up to a 6. For the kid's McAlister, I sized down from a K4 to a K3 with socks, but the K3 for an indoor moc from last winter was way to tight without socks. So far in my limited experience, sizing seems inconsistent.

    4. Ahhh... I should have sized down to a K4 for the mcalister... :( I got it during some crazy 50% off promo, and they ended up being crazy cheap...I shouldn't complain... If anyone would like to buy a glittery kids mcalister boot in a size K5, let me know...
