J.Crew's November 2014 Catalog on Pinterest

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that there are several images from the November 2014 catalog on Pinterest. (Click here for J.Crew on Pinterest.)

"Thanks!" to
Silver Lining
(in this post), also posted the catalog up on her instagram, check out here.

Well I am cautiously optimistic about the latest roll out! There are a lot of items that look nice. I also noticed a lot of oversized scarves. It makes me wonder if this is in response to Zara's Blanket Scarf, which was seen on every blogger last year. (I own my fair share of them too!)

Once again, the Men's photos all look amazing! The styling is classic and cool.

On a related note, the catalog is already available in J.Crew stores. Plus, it is being shipped out to customers via snail mail.

Word among several JCAs is that the next roll out of new arrivals (online) is tomorrow. Brick & mortar stores might already have items on the floor.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming collection? Are there any pieces you are super excited about? Does your local store carry any of the new arrivals yet? If so, please share!

  1. I have got to get myself a pair of pants in that beautiful blush shade! That said, the only other thought I have is that there's a lot of new fodder for the drunk J Crew tumblr within these pictures, ha!

    2. Someone's got to get that leather wrap midi skirt! It looks gorgeous, but I don't have a lifestyle where I'd ever wear it. I might not be tall enough for it either, but that's going to be fantastic on somebody.

  3. Oooh look, some color! Finally!!! That peach/pink coat is lovely. Definitely a piece I don't need but want.

  4. I'm cautiously optimistic, too. The black sweatshirt with the big flowers will be mine.

The cover actually intrigues me, too. Here's hoping the style guide is in my mailbox today.

  7. There are several things I'd like to see. Love that buffalo checked jacket. Some sweaters look promising too. Also interested in that white bib shirt.

    1. I saw the buffalo checked "shirt jacket" as a sample at GSP a couple of weeks ago and have been stalking the store ever since. They still don't have it, but now that it's in the catalog, I feel like it will definitely come in (sometimes the samples never make it irl). The "jacket" part of the description is sort of deceptive, though, because this is a popover shirt. True, it's a much heavier weight than usual and could definitely be an outer layer, but it's not really jacket-y. That being said, I. want. it.

    3. Oh wow, it's a popover shirt? That's too bad. I'm not interested any more, but thanks for letting me know. Money saved, I guess.

    4. I liked it in print, but IRL I didn't like it anymore (J.Crew Georgetown, WDC- had new arrivals and 25% off of them). It was more of a popover and felt like the S was too small but the M was too big. I felt it would work if I was using it as a coat and not taking it on and off- like stay outdoors for a while.

    5. Hmm...that's disappointing to read. And I am surprised that it is 25% on new arrivals. That is not usually the case for online for newly released items.

  11. There's a really great colorblock sweater that I don't see in the catalog but was at my store last week, so I'm assuming it will be everywhere else very soon. B6522. Wool/nylon, and very soft. Long sleeve crew neck with one color on the front (including sleeves) and another on the back (including sleeves). I bought light gray/black, but there was one in two shades of (gorgeous) blue and about three others that I can't remember. Side slits and cut longer in back.
I also picked up an awesome "bomber-style" (?) quilted jacket yesterday, that I also don't see in the catalog, B5961. It's black viscose, with a gray cotton lining. Crew neck with a silver zipper and long sleeves that are very slightly "bell shaped" with elastic. (Does any of that make sense? Probably not, but it is super cute and I'm trying to get across the point that everyone should own it!)

  12. Oh! One more thing (and I'm sorry to ramble!)...
There's a line of Donald Robertson tees for women. I must be totally out of it, because I'd never heard of him, but I guess he's got a huge following.

  13. It's really been awhile since I liked anything from their style guide...J.Crew saved the best for last.

I want to see or try these on in person:
    -Stadium cloth drop waistcoat
    -Double-cloth tipped cocoon coat
    -Metallic penny loafers
-Seamed military pant (been wanting a pair of cool khakis...hoping the fit on these won't be lame)
    -Exploded floral tee
    -Brushed stripe scarf
    -Lookout high-rise jeans
-Buffalo flannel check shirt-jacket (looks cool)
    -Asymmetrical zip cocoon coat
-Midi skirt (yay! I hope it comes in other colors, and that is offered in petite)
    -Tassel trim top

Yikes! That's a lot to love..and that's just the style guide. I can't wait for tomorrow online! Also to see the Sophia Webster shoes...wish I can afford it. :(

    1. They will be out in a few weeks. They will also have 2 catalogs this time - one for the normal style guide, and the other one is our favorite holiday gift guide! Can't wait!
