JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

Also, please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel free to include links to your blog (where you incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Received the Buffalo Check Flannel Shirt Jacket and really am excited about it. Wore it half tucked in black pixie pants with Old Gringo Leopardito Boots. Quite the mix but really nice:)

  4. Anyone have reviews of the J.Crew Dannie pant? I bought a bunch of tunic sweaters from the J.crew sale this week, LOVING the floaty loose look of these sweaters. But i need a tighter fitting pant to wear these with. Unfortunately the Minnie doesn't fit right so I want to try the Dannie...but the back zipper concerns me. I'm afraid that if I wear a sweater with those pants, the zipper will catch on the wool and rip it! Has anyone had this problem with the Dannie or am I being overly cautious?

    1. I wear my woollen sweaters with the pixie back zip and never had any issues. The Dannie pant zipper appears the same as the pixie. It may be worth a try.

    2. I've worn the Pixies for years and love the new Dannies. I have never had a problem with the zippers. They also have Pixies with a zipper in the front if you like the style but want something a little bit different
