This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!

ReplyDeleteOn another note, I saw some pretty cool vests on sale at the Crew (the blue vest with white lines)....I just don't know how to pair vest and keep warm? A sweater or a blouse underneath just seem not warm enough to go out, and a blazer or jacket over it kinda defeats the purpose...? Any suggestions please?
Greetings ebelandi - I own several Excursion Vests and love them. I wear them a lot indoors because my office runs cold and I can pair them with more casual shirts and turtleneck sweaters instead of blazer or other jacket. Sometimes I add a scarf. I wear them outdoors too, but as they are a vest, you need to pay attention to the temperature. Once it gets too cold, they aren't enough on their own. However, they can be layered under a winter coat for an added layer of warmth when it is super freezing-polar vortex-like outside. The vest and a pair of gloves can also be enough if I am running from the parking lot into a mall where I don't want to drag around a super heavy jacket. I have also found them invaluable when traveling in colder months. I will often put my heavier jacket in the suitcase (no layovers!), and wear an Excursion Vest in the airport and on the plane to keep me warm without dragging around a big coat. Hope this helps. Jennifer
