This is an amazing tiered promotion at J.Crew. Bravo!!! Also, I was worried there would be a reduced percent off for sale- but they kept it at 40%. Yey!

Did you check out the Sale section today? Were you able to snag any amazing deals? If so, please share! :)

  1. Did check....all of it. Filled my cart with about 10 items. At checkout regrouped realizing I need none of it right now....ordered zero. Prices for everything I (think) want will all be cheaper and still available in a month. If not....well as I said I really do not need to have it. Sorry Jena and Mickey.....I am just not feeling it this season for J Crew. C

  2. hi ....I went to the downtown Vancouver (Robsen St) store today. 30% off full price merch. and 40% off sale. Lots of necklaces on 40% off. Nothing caught my eye....
I overed the SA saying that the robsen st store gets about 700 people a day and the west Van store location about 300......not alot really for a city this size !

  3. I was ready to pull the trigger on the lattice pleated skirt in distressed quartz, as it went on sale two days ago and I knew they would add free shipping today but as you I am glad they didn't downgrade the 40% off to a 30%. On the other hand the skirt wasn't final sale until they switched to the new coupon so I hope it fits well!

  4. Argh. I finally decided to try the Thomas Mason tuxedo shirt in blue at 30% off.... I've been looking for a nice blue button down forever and at least it's returnable. I reaaallllly wanted to try the featherweight merino wool double-knit tunic but didn't want to get burned with FS. I love the idea of a looser merino piece like that (and it actually has full length sleeves!), but the reviews were so mixed about the sizing, I was scared to order.

    1. I love this sweater, tried it twice in store but they only had navy and I have too much navy. I tried both my regular size (XS) and one size down (XXS) and liked the oversized look of the XS better, since it is a casual sweater anyway. The XXS wasn't too small but the neckline came up higher on my neck and it wasn't as flattering as the XS. HTH!

    2. Ah, thanks so much! I will prob just stick with my regular size, or I may just have to run out to the store to get sizing right, then order the color I want online. It's discouraging when they only have limited colors in store with some items.

  5. I tried to place an order for a dress I had been watching to popback, but it was snatched from my cart right as I hit the submit button. So sad. Hoping it shows back up again while the extra 40% off promo is still going on.

On another note, as I mentioned in a previous post, I've shared my picks for this promo, along with links to pics and reviews (for the majority of the items) from myself and other bloggers for those interested. Click here to see the post. :)

  6. And ..... got me! Thought I was behaving but 30% off full pop and free shipping lured me in. Picked up the Slim soft heather twill shirt in pinstripe in navy #B4306. It looks soft, slim and cozy so how could I say no.

  7. I just received the cotton cropped sweater (#A7963) in carribean sand and I LOVE it! It's perfect for petite ladies (I'm almost 5'1''). I like it so much that I think I'm going to get the navy one also. Yay for no min free shipping!

    1. Did you find the cropped sweater tts? I've been thinking about this one for a while.

    2. Hi maryeb - I found it to be TTS. I'm a 32B and took an XS and the sweater is looser and slouchier on me than how it's shown on the model. HTH!

    3. I have this sweater in navy--love it! Can't wait to wear it. :) It's cropped on me since I'm a bit taller than you, but it's perfect for skirts/pants that hit at my waist. Super excited for it!

    4. Dmitri - Thanks for posting on the cropped sweater. It's been in my wishlist. Will you drop a pic on your blog? Quick pic would be fine w/me, if you can do it.

  8. I ordered the pixie pant in black (as always, late in the game...). I thought I'd give it another try again. Pixies hardly go on sale, with the 30% instead of 25% is too good to pass up, and I missed buying it when it was $88 w/ the 40% promo.
I also ordered the stripe tissue turtleneck and the Merino leather pocket t that I bought (again) in XS; I had to return the XXS, it a was tad small on me.

  9. As of last sale...5 of my six items were "sorry we don't have enough " so count me out on this one. Signed "tired of being dissappointed"

  10. Well, the cashmere tee dress is not included in the promo and sold out in my size in black. Blah. I may order a pair of boots.

  14. Anyone else having issues with things being marked 30% off with current full price promo and then showing up as 'excluded from promo' in their chart? Namely, the Regent blazer...I took screen grabs and was going to hit up live chat tomorrow but wanted to see if it was just me.

    1. LMK what you find out. I wanted the cashmere tee dress and it was excluded from promo too.

    2. I added it to my cart just to try the code for you and it did work - took off the 30% with the WEEKENDPLANS promo. CS shouldn't give you a problem. Good luck!

  15. OT Calling all Chicago JCA's: I will be in Chicago in a weeks time and of course J Crew is on the things-to-do list. Have been reading teh Chicago section on this blog from a few years ago. Would love to hear which Chicago J Crew store you would recommend now. TIA!!

    1. Michigan Ave is bigger and has more selection. The North Ave store is fine if you are in the neighborhood but I wouldn't go to the area just for that store. (Plus it has far less selection.) Have fun!

  16. I see the dutch floral skirt is absent online right now....hmmmm. On the J Crew blog there is a article about the print....and it shows it on shoes (heels) ...lovely print. Hope they do more of it.

    1. I tried that skirt on and it's very thin cotton and silk. For a fall/winter skirt I had expected a thicker weight like the leopard and winter floral prints of past skirts. I've had children and it highlighted my mommy tummy. If you have tight abs, you will like the skirt, otherwise, it's a no go. With its thinness and quality, the skirt should have retailed full price for no more than $100-$110, definitely not worth $198 or even $150 to me.

New York and Company has a lookalike skirt:

And New York and Co has an an actual modest dress that looks like the Dutch floral mini dress that one over 5'2" wouldn't be embarrassed to wear in public.

    2. Wow...thanks for the link and the advice about the J Crew version..I will now not be stalking the J Crew one anymore. I always appreciate all of us commenting with our true opinions of items. Thanks again.

    3. Another option is Leifsdottir's Heian pencil skirt (Orig $148) and sheath dress (Orig $198). The print is spot on with J Crew's Dutch Floral. The print sold like "hot cakes," but I was able (fortunately) to snag the pencil skirt on sale. Anthropologie sold this print in Spring/Summer 2013, so Ebay is probably you're best bet. If you wear small sizes, there are options available now on Ebay.

  18. I did end up taking advantage of the promo this morning since the dress that disappeared from my cart the other day showed back up online again in my size. Hopefully it will ship...fingers crossed! :)
