Spring Thaw: 30% Off Final Sale at J.Crew

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the following promotion from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew is offering customers to take an additional 30% off all sale items (no min) with promo code SPRINGTHAW. Yey! This code expires Sunday, April 21, 2013. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on the purchase of sale items at jcrew.com and in J.Crew stores from April 15, 2013, 12:01am ET through April 21, 2013, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in J.Crew Factory stores, at jcrewfactory.com or on phone orders. Offer does not apply to previous purchases or to the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or combined with any other promotion. Discount on retail store purchases applied at register. To redeem online, enter code SPRINGTHAW in the promo code box at checkout. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Limit one promo code per order. Terms of offer are subject to change.
I love that this offer applies to both online and in-store purchases. Especially since stores have already been running this offer.

Plus, J.Crew had a nice update to their Final Sale section online (click here) earlier this morning. Some merchandise increase for everyone (1040+ for Women and 400+ for Men). As you can imagine, things are selling out relatively quickly.

Will you be checking out the Final Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. I really wish final sale would go away!

  2. It's nice to see the extra % off extended to online, instead of only in-store. Too bad the $100 ship minimum is not still in effect. Like OperaRach, I also wish final sale would go away, as I'm sure everyone else does too! :)

Along with the extra 30% off, there are some new promo-priced items this morning and a lot of new markdowns, including many collection items like the Collection secretary blouse in hummingbird floral and Collection silk blouse in little skunks. I'm in the process of updating the list with the new additions, and will have it posted on my blog in just a little while.

  3. well I did jump as I figured all weekend that there would be a 30% off today. My light blazer was a wreck when I dug it out and so ordered the herringbone in the antique linen colour. I know the sizing, so was okay for final sale - will leave the rest!

  4. I am sticking with my rule of never buying final sale. This goes for every store, not just J. Crew, although Crew seems to do it most. If a retailer can't stand behind their product, I sure as heck don't want it.

  5. Debating the tresco floral toothpicks. More practical than the mini for me... but still very impractical! But oh, how I love the print!

  6. I ordered the pixilated houndstooth skirt in my usual size, sight unseen. Crossing my finger since it is final sale!

    1. I got it in my usual petite size, but preferred the length in the regular size.. The actual fit of it is tts, I'd say, but the length was really off on the petite size I got. It was only 18" long!
I'd say you'll be fine with your usual size!
There are pics of both the petite and the regular on my blog:

    2. I usually get a petite in the pencil skirts but lately I have been ordering the regular. I bought the tuxedo pencil in petite and returned it for a regular. So I am glad I did not get the petite in this skirt. I loved how your wore it casually with the jean jacket! I will have to copy the styling :)

    3. I also ordered the jeweled sweatshirt, pleated shorts and indigo matchsticks :)

  7. I agree with the rest of you about Final Sale. Not excited about seeing that still around. I am not sure when J.Crew will decide to remove it but I am hoping it is sooner than later. There are certainly some items I am interested in getting but am unsure about fit... Oh well!

  8. I have ordered several final sale items. I now routinely call a VPS and request they wave the final sale before I order. So far they have always agreed.

    1. I was told one time only and they have stuck to that when I asked the second and tried a third time. But, good for you. My online VPS won't budge on final sale either when I asked.

  9. Nothing like a little love from 'crew. A madras tie, merino v-neck and cheap pair of cords. What I don't get is why the cords are backorderded until August of 2013? Ah well, they'll arrive just in time for fall. Hopefully I'll be enjoying summer when they arrive.

  10. If an item does not show the red final sale on the online order but still ends in .99 and eligible for the 30% off, does it mean it's not final sale? I just placed an order on two items that had this but didn't display the final sale in red in my order so I assumed it's ok to return if it doesn't work out. Anyone know? thanks!

    1. cuckoo: If it does not say final sale on your receipt/invoice then you should be able to return them.

  11. Agree that final sale is outlandish and needs to go away. It is especially ridiculous for those super expensive, obscure collection items that are hardly sold in any stores and are discounted $50 and suddenly "final sale"! I did order some toothpicks but I am quite familiar of my size in those.

  12. I just finished the list of new promo-priced items & markdowns. As I mentioned before, there are many collection items that received markdowns today, and a lot of new markdowns in general.

The updated list is here on my blog.

  13. Everything have been lusting after or the past few months is available today in my size but I just cannot do final sale, especially where the colors in real life are always so different than what you see online. Bah humbug.

  14. Has anyone tried the CROPPED MATCHSTICK JEAN IN INDIGO FLORAL? How is the sizing on the matchsticks compared with the toothpicks?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I take the cropped matchstick in my same non-jcrew size (same for ag, jbrand, etc). The toothpicks don't fit right on me, but I wore the same size for those

    2. I tried this on today in store. You can see my review here. I took these in my regular matchstick size which is a size smaller for me than my toothpick size. HTH!

  15. I am uninspired. I like their Ebbets Field Flannels ballcaps but they're not on sale. I don't even want anything from the new arrivals. I'm looking elsewhere for summer dresses.

  19. I consistently have good luck with the no. 2 pencil skirt, so I ordered the neon tweed skirt in my size. I think the yellow tweed will be lovely for spring/early summer!

  20. Got the darby loafers. Not even looking at final sale. All reviews are up and organized by category on the blog. Added reviews for the every wedges and pumps and the Miri pumps recently. All here and on the sidebar!

    1. Hi Amber, I forgot that I recently ordered the Darby loafers. I hope I ordered the right size. How did they fit on you?

    2. They fit perfectly in my 6.5, same as I take for most of the heels. I'm a 6- 6.5. They were so comfy!

  23. I bit on the tipsy parsons print Tippi and Liberty June's Meadow print shorts--have been stalking both for months, but waiting for a size review on the online-only Tippi and for sale on the Liberty shorts. Today my size popped back in the Tippi AND the shorts went on sale. I figured that must be a sign. I know my Tippi sizes and the shorts weren't marked as final sale, so I should be good.

    1. I also bit on the June's Meadow print shorts...glad they weren't final sale since I haven't seen them in person yet.

  25. In case anyone is interested, I spoke to someone on the phone regarding my JC credit card and they told me rewards cards would go out sometime in May.

  26. Hello! The Toronto Eaton Centre Store is doing a 40% off sale items. The sale section is well stocked.
    Happy shopping!

  27. Ordered the cropped matchstick in thistle print in 2 sizes to try (didn't see any reviews online) as well as the dot magic wallet as a free shipping filler, and then noticed today that the lightweight boy shirt in navy stripe was marked down overnight. Called CS, and they waived the shipping on the shirt - both the jeans & the shirt have been on my list to watch for markdowns.

  28. Sadly the items in my cart did not hit sale/promo price so I'll probably be sitting out. Should have a rare chance to shop at a B&M on Wednesday or Thursday so I at least hope to try a few things on.

  31. I picked up the striped linen boy shirt which I have been wanting since last year and the green cargo scout chino (these were half off!! and a fairly new item). 30% off both but neither was final sale. Only bummer is that I had to pay for shipping.

  35. FYI: The Cece Leather Ballet Flats ring up at $62.99 with FS+30% off SPRINGTHAW promo. This is a STEAL as far as I'm concerned! The Cece's are the perfect ballet flat; sturdy, flexible and SO comfortable (the little interior wedge really does make a huge difference). I just bought another pair in Vintage Blush...I'm either an 8 or 8H depending on the shoe and I take an 8H in these.

    1. I bought theses too! You can never have enough IMO, they are the Tippi of shoes.

    2. I wear 9.5 in Cece's and a 10 in all other J Crew Footwear (Viv, Martina etc.).

  36. I placed an order this morning...no final sale items though. I'm trying out the mila ballet flats in the navy/sand/neon yellow colorway as well as a few of the classic wide bangles in sweet lemon and sheer mint. I haven't tried the mila flats yet, although I do have several pairs of the cece flats and love them so will be curious to try out the mila flats.

  37. Nothing is really wowing me this sale, except for a handful of popbacks like the scroll print skirt or Jules which I can't seem to score, and the skunk skirt which is sold out in my size. I found a lot of J. Crew to be underwhelming this season, I love wearing fun prints in the warm weather months and there hasn't been too much I'm a fan of with the past few rollouts. I'm finding myself rediscovering Lilly Pulitzer and her great summer dresses for most of my shopping and some older JCrew pieces on eBay.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm also shopping other retailers more who are offering great sales AND no final sale

    2. I absolutely adore Lilly Pulitzer dresses. Such beautiful prints, great quality and consistent fit. I buy myself one every year for my birthday.

  38. Me too, katertott. I've found some cute dresses at Garnet Hill (although I hate their shipping fees, it's usually a big deterrent but with the 20% off full price merchandise I don't mind as much). I'll have to take a look at Lilly Pulitzer too.
