Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Ohhhh I made a killing on E-Bay for some last year items I covetted--so no--I have to stay put!!! :) Happy
    Shopping!

  2. Yes, since they are still having the 30 % off sale items.

  3. Still 30% off sale at Mayfair in Milwaukee,WI. Picked up two umbrellas with cute sailboat print $15-30% ea. Much needed for all this rain we've had in these parts lately!
Peter pan collar tee in navy is also on sale for $50-30% off. Better than online FP-25% off. Happy shopping! And TGIF friends!

  4. If anyone goes and sees the linen cap sleeve dress (46914) in the orange color, can you report back on how accurate the site photo is? I'm worried it's actually more neon orange or something.

    Thanks!

    1. I'd also be interested in hearing how much this dress wrinkles!

    2. Miss JR - I haven't seen the cap sleeve linen dress in the stores this week. Will keep an eye out for it.

    3. I saw it at my local store today. It is definitely not neon orange. In fact, I'd say it's even a little less bright than the website shows. I'm personally not an orange person, but I thought it was a nice looking dress in person. HTH.

    4. Ohhh... Good! Sounds promising. :)
      Thank you!

    5. I also saw the orange linen dress this weekend and thought it was a true, pretty, non-neon orange. One thing I did notice is that it looks like it could have quite a low neckline. This is only an observation though as I did not try it on...

  5. Any idea when the next Rewards will be out? I conveniently excluded Rewards from my shopping ban. Happy shopping this weekend, everyone.

  6. Just to make a return. If my store is having 30% off sale I might take a peek.

  7. ALL stores should be having an additional 30% off! Happy shopping ladies!

  8. Any one have issues with the Blythe getting pull marks in the silk with minimal wear?

    ReplyDelete
  9. PerfectFit, my Blythe is a disaster. I only wore it once, it was very roomy in my size and yet the fabric ripped in back by the arm. The other arm looks like the fabric is about to go, too. I will never buy another Blythe again.

  10. I have not been to the BM (Vancouver)for ages...so will pop in today....soley for reconnaissance.
If anyone has a little down time check out this months online issue of Matchbook magazine. Its fun to play "spot the J CREW" .
p.s I do not have anything to do with this mag ( I live in Canada) but I always enjoy it.
Hope someone else likes it too ! Carolyn from Vancouver

    1. Gigi- I saw the pinwheel eyelet skirt in navy marked down to $89.99 too. Also, micro-tweed jacket in navy was $69.99, clover tweed skirt was $89.99, Liberty toothpick jeans in Emma & Georgina were $69.99, Liberty print zip pouch for $24.99. Someone had asked about the schoolboy blazer in indigo dot and it is still $119 in stores. My VPS said that they were getting new arrivals on Thursday next week!

    2. Several Indigo Dot Schoolboys marked at 119.99 at Lake Forest today, I saw at least one size 00 and one size 4 ...

    3. Lauren - Thanks for the pricing info! I updated the guide. My store is awful about moving things to the sale section, but not putting the sale price on them.

  12. Madewell b&m is having 20% off sale items. I went in 10 minutes before store closing so didn't have time to check out everything but sale section was packed. It also looks like they marked down a lot of stuff. The lacebloom tee in navy is marked down to $49.99 before extra 20%.

    1. Interesting. I get that it's fashion forward but if they (pants in particular) don't look flattering on her, I'm thinking they're not likely to be flattering on me either.

      Delete
    2. Yeah, I'm surprised that she wore those pants being a fashion editor. I tried the petite (being 5,2) which looked totally different and quite fantastic. The regular sizing (which I usually do fine with) looked on me like it does on her. A case of fashion aspiration leading one astray...

    3. Those pants are not doing her thighs any favors.

    4. That's Tina Leung. She's a fashion consultant for various design houses and is a stylist.

That outfit (pants in particular) shortens her, and its not slimming. It must be the print/fabric/color. That fabric should not made into clothes...IMO.
There's a reason why it went in on sale.

    5. Seems like J. Crew does a brocade/shiny fabrication every few seasons. I have pieces in the Jacquard Treasure and Medallion fabrics and I agree that bottoms in what my husband calls "sofa material" are hard to wear.

  14. Copley Place in Boston has a huge sale section with 30% off still in force. Nothing of interest to me though.

For anyone looking for the newly-arrived and already-sold-out-online scallop edged dress, there were a ton of them at Copley.

  15. Was at a Collection store today and they had out several new dresses for the summer. A linen ivory/black polka-dot, several hot color polyester!, yes polyester cute shape dresses. Very cute white lace/linen. All too short for me :( Looks like that will be the theme this year... way above the knee. Some really nice cashmere for you northern gals.

  16. I'm ready for swim season! Looking online at their bathing suits... Not a lot of D-cup options. There were way more to choose from last year. I'm specifically looking for the banded halter in D-Cup. Maybe it's early and they will release more styles next month? I hope so because my other swimsuit standby- Tommy Bahama- has quite making D cup options in my size. I'm a 30E cup but XSmall and Small D Cup swimwear fit me perfectly.

  17. Has anyone visited the Edmonton store? If yes, what is the sale section like?

  18. Visited Park Meadows, CO B&M to do some returns. Huge sale section with 30% off. Saw the usual as listed on Gigiofca In Store Price Guide. But did see Polka dot Blythe on sale for $99.99. There were some navy eyelet skirts, June's Meadow blazers, 00, lots of 4 and some other sizes, $99.99. Lots of styles of capris on sale which seemed strange since we are not even really into spring here. Plus, 25% off tees, shorts and ballet flats.

    1. JRSConfifer - The polka dot Blythe went on sale online on 4/10. Will probably pop back Same price as in-store, $99.99. Addtl 30% off is the best deal, of course. :) I'm also still seeing a few in-store if JCAs are interested.

  19. Review of the twisted stitch sweater. $49.99 online, still in regular price section in-store.

  20. I went today just to see what was new...nothing exciting but a bunch of T's and merchandise from the last big roll out.
I did notice though from their runway spring show, the washed out umbrella T's already at the store.

Speaking of roll out, I asked a sales person and she said that they'll be receiving their 'summer' stuff next week..

Downtown SF location is also doing an extra 30% sale items along with the promo of 25% tees and shorts.

  25. OT: For those interested in finding dresses in longer lengths, L.L.Bean Signature offers several of them. I bought the Poplin dress in sailboat print, polka-dot, and navy, all of which are 38 inches in length. The dresses have a large hem that can be let out for those who need a longer length, and they also come in petite sizes for those who need a shorter length. I reviewed the dress in sailboat print on my blog today, and also shared a pic of the navy and polka-dot ones. My review is here.

    1. Thank you for mentioning this! I've been trying to find some basic but quality summer dresses and everything is way too short for my taste (and I'm even a petite!).

It hadn't occurred to me to look at LLBean.

    2. Thanks FFM... I finally got on it and ordered the Joan Rivers watch . It was on deep sale ...almost ordered the pink one but picked the black. Carolyn from Vancouver

  27. Bought the pastel & neon statement necklace for $83.99( full price online) & the biennial satchel in citron for 188.99.

  28. Stopped in today and ended up doing some damage with the extra 30% off...the green/navy striped jewel neck sweater is marked down to $99.99 before the extra % off. I had a change of heart about this sweater after seeing it styled a few different ways so picked this up. Also bought the polka dot blythe and stripe cotton silk popover in neon azalea ($59.99), and the matchstick jeans in old glory wash ($59.99 before discount.

My store (Walden Galleria in Buffalo) had a pretty stocked sale section...lot of tees though, one liberty blazer in an 8, some lula glitter flats in silver I believe in sizes 7-8, and a lot of the indigo dot schoolboys. That's all I can think of right now...

  29. Olive toothpick jeans were $79.50 at my store - I believe there was 30% off sale and with student discount they ended up being around $47 for me :) The cropped matchsticks in lavender and grey too I think were also marked down to $79.50 (still full price online).

  32. I went to the Tysons Galleria store this weekend and it seems that they have a little bit of everything in their sales section. The sales associate told me that the sale lasts until Monday. I'm not sure if he meant the 30% off FS, the 25% off tees & shorts, or both? I just picked up the reverse-jacquard stripe popover. I had bought it a while back and returned it because I wasn't sure about it. I was happy about getting it for $28 instead of the original $68.
