J.Crew Mother's Day Gifts {free shipping & gift wrapping}

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the following email from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering free shipping and free gift wrapping on select items in honor of Mother's Day. (Reminder: the day is celebrated on Sunday, May 12 this year.) To shop the Mother's Day Shop, click HERE.

This is a nice treat (& opportunity) to pick up an item or two without worrying about shipping costs. And not just for your mom, but for yourself!

What are your thoughts on J.Crew's offerings for Mother's Day? Will you check them out?

  1. Does anyone have that Embroidered Voile top? It looks pretty (not $128 pretty, however!).

  2. I have it. It got it with the 30% off promo, but it sits with tags in case of early markdown + 30% off sale. It's quite pretty, albeit a bit sheer (a camisole is likely needed for the less adventurous among us). It's silk and cotton, the color is a pretty cream and the embroidered arrows (?) are cute. It vaguely fits with the ethnic / tribal print trend that's so popular for summer. It runs tts to slightly large. It's not overly voluminous, but I think it looks nicer tucked in than left out, but I haven't experimented with it too much. If I keep it, I'll probably also wear it under black suits for work (I have the black Aubrey jacket and black Paley pant).

    In sum, cute, not worth $128, probably not worth $90, nice lightweight summer top.

    1. Thank you for the review! I will watch it, maybe on sale eventually. I haven't ever seen it in a store yet.

  3. OT-Jenna is featured in the new bazaar (with Gwyneth on the cover) in the day in the life type series they do on designers.
