This is a great time to check out Madewell's sale items from the convenience of your home.
My top sale pick this time around is the Sidewalk Skimmer in Tearose (Item 87734; $82.00) now on sale for $59.99 (before any promotion is applied). I already own a few of the Sidewalk Skimmers from Madewell, and love the shape of the flat. The floral print is absolutely gorgeous- making this flat even more attractive to me!

Will you be checking out Madewell? Did you already pick up an item or two? If so, please share!

  1. anyone know how the sizing for the Madewell sidewalk skimmers compares with that of the Jcrew cece ballet flats?

  2. Carolina: I find them to both fit true to size (I am a size 9 in both). The Sidewalk flats are pointier and longer (as you would expect for the shape). Hope this helps! :)

  3. I think the sidewalk skimmers run smaller than the Ceces, personally. But not very much.. half a size at most.

I am waiting for a pair of boots I want to get marked down again. They have been the same price for months, and no one is buying them. Mark them down, darn it!!!

  4. A little OT, but I spoke with Madewell CS and they said new arrivals would appear on the website on 4/23.

  5. Has anybody tried that shrunken map shirt? I've never tried any Madewell clothing so I have no idea what size I should order. TIA!

    1. I haven't tried that shirt but in my experience the "shrunken" shirts are actually fitted and TTS (in contrast to many of Madewell's shirts that are oversized). I'm typically a 4 (or a 6 if I need extra room in the chest) and in these shirts I would size up to a medium for the extra room, but otherwise (if your chest is smaller than a D) the small would be fine. HTH!

  6. Anthro Blogger -- I tried it on and went with my normal size small and felt that was the right fit. It didn't work for me, but I think it's a nicely-made top.

  7. Ditto on loving the Sidewalk Skimmers. They really work for my feet and are straight out-of-the-box comfortable. This is one shoe that I buy in multiples. :)

BTW, if you are looking to get a steal on the Archive Boots (my favorite boots!), they had them in store for I think $119 last I checked. Worth a call!

  8. just bought the 'crystal blue' (aka cobalt) suede skimmers. thank you to everyone above who advised on sizing. I wear a 9 in the Jcrew Factory Anya flats (the faux-CeCe), so I'm hoping a 9 will fit in the skimmers.

  9. I bought a pair of sidewalk skimmers in my regular size and they are a half size too small. They are SO WELL MADE that I have tried to stretch them and will look to buy another pair but in a half size larger. FYI
