"Thanks!" to many of you, and as mentioned in yesterday's "25-30% Off Women at J.Crew {in store only}" post, for the following news: J.Crew is offering an additional 25% off merchandise at brick and mortar (B&M) stores and online by using promotional code SPRINGBEST. "Thanks!" to Marietta & Mel, who let us know that J.Crew is offering J.Crew credit card holders 30% off their orders with promo code CARDSTYLE. This offer also expires April 28, 2013.

"Thanks!" to shopwithm (in this post), who also let us know that if you already have a J.Crew credit card, you can get an additional 30% off in B&M stores. Plus, it is an additional 30% off at B&M stores if you open a J.Crew credit card.

"Thanks!" to Ruth (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew is offering international customers 20% off their orders with promo code INSIDER20. This offer expires April 30, 2013.

Thrilled to see this promotion being extended online. (Plus, it is not just limited to Women but all merchandise!) Especially since there are quite a number of new arrivals that are calling my name. ;)

Is your store offering this sale? Will you be checking out the new arrivals? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. Just posted on another thread, but code INSIDER20 will give 20% off for international customers! Valid til 30th April on all orders!

  2. You can get the 30% off in stores if you use your JC card (it doesn't just have to be opened to get that percentage off). I wish that would translate to online with a cardholder code.

  3. Has anyone tried on the Knit Princess Seam dress or the Lace Stripe dress? I like the Pale Seascape color on the Knit Princess Seam dress, and the length looks okay. I'm betting the Lace Stripe dress is way too short, but it looks so pretty, anyone know?

I'm also thinking about trying the Maribeth Espadrilles (been looking at those online for years - like that it's less of a heel than Seville Espadrilles, but not sure about how they will be on, the style is odd).

    Thanks!

    1. Hi cate,

I tried on the Lace Stripe Dress the other day. It's short but not obscenely so. I did find that fit a bit odd - quite fitted in shoulders/bust and then quite large in the hip are. You can check out my review here

  5. I went into the store to return some sandals I had ordered online...only to find out about the sale. I decided to get the Crystal Drops necklace - with 30% off and my credit, I still ended up spending less than I got. Score!

  6. meh, nothing is calling out to me now - even with the sale. My closet holes are pants and feminine blouses, neither of which is J Crew's specialty.

    1. I agree Joy. Our weather has been cold/snowy, so I have not been able to wear any spring clothes. Our spring/summer is going to be short at this rate so started returning items that I am not totally in love with.

    2. I agree about the lack of wearable pant options and it is already HOT where I live. I also need short sleeve washable tops. J Crew is big on sleeveless tops.

    1. Most likely. I tried on several things in-store that are not yet online. They're probably part of this next roll-out.

    2. Miss JR, my VPS said it would be Wednesday. I also tried on a couple of items in the store that I had seen in the preview photos Alexis posted last week.

    3. Yes, on Wed. 4/24 the items that are available in stores today will be online.

  8. I don't buy much from J. Crew but I did have a few things from the last rollout on my wish list. Unfortunately J. Crew has bad timing. The Saks friends and family sale started yesterday and I was able to pick up some great pieces. The 25% off applied to regular priced and sale items. A few things I wanted had just been marked down before the friends and family started, double score!

  9. Has anyone tried the Seersucker pencil skirt yet? Any thoughts? would like to buy that during this promo (wish there were free shipping or a lower minimum...)

    1. I saw the newest one in the store. It has a bright coral trim at the lower edge of the waistband, if that matters to you (it's cute though!). It wouldn't show unless you tucked your top in. I didn't try it on though, so couldn't say how it fits.

    2. I tried it on, and it fits smaller than the usual No. 2 pencils. I'm usually between sizes so it worked in my favor. I decided not to get it, because it was an inch or two longer than I like (5'5" and it hit below my knees). Overall a really cute skirt if it fits well.

  10. Thanks for posting the 30% off for cardholders, that email had not yet found its way to my inbox. I had my eye on the Barbados dress and was able to pick it up for $50 off which I'm happy about. It seemed like a dress that wasn't going to go too far down the pipeline and not being final sale is wonderful. That was one of the few things that caught my eye with the last rollout but I've been underwhelmed by most of it. I also grabbed a Blythe and the Tresco Floral shirt since I feel confident with fit and style since I have others.

  11. Oops, meant to say I didn't think the Barbados dress was going to make it too far down the SALE pipeline :)

  14. 25% off is huge! It's better than their friends and family discount. :) You ladies should pick up the floral liberty blazer! It's on sale now! I posted wearing it three different ways on my blog today. :)

  15. I stopped by my local store today and picked up the clover tweed pencil skirt for $35! I agree with some people who stated that it ran a little small. I needed a 6 in it but can wear a 4 in the no. 2 cotton and the pinwheel eyelet.
They were putting out a lot of new arrivals while I was there. I saw a silk top and dress in the green floral pattern. The sales associate told me they also had a cashmere sweater and scarf in that pattern. I also saw an interesting tortoise bracelet that is reminiscent of the beaded rose bracelet (floral with the stone in the center).

  19. The May catalog is really boring, imo. I was hoping for so much more, lol! Does anyone recall if June and July are smaller rollouts? I am thinking this may be the bulk of summer. Hope they pleasantly surprise us, though!

  21. I was really excited about this sale-- until I realized that everything in the May catalog that I just got is not available online at all. I have never seen this before. Is anyone else seeing this? So far, I've tried to get three items into my cart and none of them come up in the search- either by item number or name. Disappointing.
