  1. I am thinking about driving down for this sale for the first time and I was wondering if anyone could offer any tips.

Such as what time to arrive, how long are lines, do they take credit cards, etc.

    Thank you!!

    1. Big hitters camp out the night before - crazy huh - They usually give out numbers in the early morn - this deters others from breaking in line. The lines can be long & the waiting tiresome; HOWEVER, they are calling for SNOW & I'm sure this will change the game a bit. Items are continually brought out all during the day so no rush - you will always be able to find that 'treasure'. Yes, CC are accepted - Don't take a purse in & leave your coat in the car - its a pain to keep up with and there is always a purse lost! ENJOY!

  4. I just arrived . The line is much shorter perhaps 40-50 instead of the usual 90- 100. Numbers will be handed out sometime after 6.

  5. There were no lines to speak of today. Prices were similar to what was reported at last week's sale in Ashville. Coats are still $70, Cashmere is $25, Dresses (excl wedding) $15; Tops and Bottoms are $10; Pumps are $40. There is a 10% on your total purchase applied at the register. This sale seems to have lots of items circa 07-08 in addition to the usual stock. I scored a map cardigan (07)in perfect condition. Sadly there were no Bellas or Lexingtons.

    1. Thanks for the updates Muffy. They must have hid this 07-08 stuff and forgotten where and just now found it. I cannot come up with another explanation for that. Too bad there were no Lexingtons, I'm still searching for the purple one.

    2. At last week's sale in Asheville I found a new with tags cashmere hat from the Holiday 2007 season, I have frequently seen things from the year before or even two years before but never from over five years ago. For $5 of course it went home with me, it's a nice thick knit cashmere.
