Shop J.Crew's Swim Collection {risk-free}

J.Crew is reminding us of that swimsuit season is just starting! To honor this moment, they are offering free shipping and free return on all swimwear. This promotion will probably run until Fall of this year.

Many of you are already aware of this news, thanks to the one-page ad inserts inside most packages delivered from J.Crew.

It is difficult to think about bikinis, shorts, and the like when the temperatures outside my door are quite cold! But this is a great offer for those of us lucky to live in warmer-temperature locations (or will be visiting those locations on holiday).
Lastly, I am loving the color/print on the Bandeau Tank in Scroll Print (item 30023; $98.00). Why is this version of the scroll print in "blue" not featured on other items, like the skirt? The "golden mustard" option is pretty, but let's offer the second colorway on more pieces too! Amiright? ;)

What are your thoughts on this latest promotion? Will you be taking advantage of it? If so, which pieces are you interested in?

  1. It is a little early for swimsuits, in my opinion! Even living in Los Angeles, I cannot wrap my head around thinking about buying a new bathing suit in January. But, J. Crew has fantastic swimwear and I have been very happy with the suits I have bought from them in the past. So happy, that I don't think I need a new one quite just yet. :)

  2. Too early for me to think about swimsuits! However, I am absolutely in love with some of Madewell's newest offerings. There's a bikini over there I'd love - but I'm hoping it goes on sale at some point!

  3. I couldn't agree with you more, the blue colorway would be perfect for a skirt (or shorts longer than 3")!. Mickey, please micromanage this...

  4. I always wait until July or August for sale suits, since they also included the free shipping last summer and we didn't go on our beach vacay until late August! January is way too early to think about this in Chicago. And even if I was going away, I would just use my existing swimsuits rather than pay full price now.

  6. Well, I like to buy my suits early and this is typically when jcrew launches their resort line. Wearing sandals today and 70s due this weekend here in NC

  7. I usually don't buy my suits until late spring/early summer, and do not plan to take advantage of the free shipping and returns promo going on right now. I have lived in Florida most of my life, and we do not go to the beach in a swimsuit from October until May, so there really is not a need for a new one. The scroll print bandeau tank is really pretty though!

    1. As soon as it hits 70 I usually sit outside for at least 15 minutes in my suits and get some Vit. D. Just enough skin uncovered in the warm sunshine. Good mood lifter:)

  8. I see the one piece is continuing it's strong charge. Love them on the models but it's going take me a while to navigate the trend for me. Even though I am old enough to have lived through this trend before.

    1. Just read an article and also saw a fashion segment on tv where the bikini is out and one pieces are in; also, lots of stars on beach in photos with one pieces recently.

  9. I bought the fanfare print tank fp last year because I really loved that print and I had two occasions to wear it before the summer but this year nothing tempts me. I ordered the golden paisley bikini during the December promo to go with the tunic but I didn't think it was that flattering so I returned it (not that I needed it anyway). I also got a jersey Lomellina one on deep sale and I am going to keep it but I am stalking the top in case the xs pops back (I am typically a S but this one fit bigger).

  10. I'm happy they have a bunch of colorful options now, as I have a trip planned for the end of February and would love to treat myself to a new swimsuit. I'm also excited to be able to pick one of their patterned one-pieces, I have a long torso and only just realized that if I size up by one the J Crew one pieces fit me well. I have a long torso style from two sesaons ago but I'm not a fan of a one-piece, one-color suit, just too blah for me.
