J.Crew {Factory} Brings Back Vanessa Lorenzo!

[J.Crew+Sept+2007+104.jpg]
Remember model Vanessa Lorenzo's timeless beauty in the Paris 2007 catalog? (For an example, refer to the "J.Crew of Seasons Past: Paris 2007!" post.) Many JCAs miss her (among other models) from ye olde J.Crew. She always had a lovely smile on her face and hair combed. ;)

"Thanks!" to Dinagideon (check out her {great} blog: "My Superfluities..."), who spotted Vanessa Lorenzo over at J.Crew Factory. That is right, she is back sporting the latest Spring 2013 Factory collection.

She looks great and so do the outfits! Plus, I love how much she is smiling in all the photos. Yey for bringing her back!!!

Did you catch Vanessa Lorenzo over at J.Crew Factory? Are you happy to see her back? If so, please share! :)

  1. She is beautiful. I loved those catalogs! The most recent style guide for Jan is a snoozer. The cover is lame.

  5. Vanessa and Anouck Lepere are my two all-time favorite J.Crew models. I did notice that Vanessa has been over at J.Crew Factory, and really wish they would put her back on the retail website, not to mention back into the catalogs.

    1. My 2 favorite models as well! I feel like Vanessa has been over at Sundance catalog for awhile...or its a real look-a -like?

  6. I always liked her- she somehow brings the outfits alive, she is beautiful but not in an artificial way. Plus, she doesn't wear those goofy glasses...

  10. Thanks for the shoutout, Alexis. :)

Vanessa is stunning, very much a fresh breath of air.

If she were to come back to their catalogs, I would do a dance of joy, since she really is very photogenic and special. However, I don't know that will happen, as she may be less "editorial" with her more wholesome looks and smaller stature (she is 5'7").

    1. Oooh she's 5'7"? I will definitely have to look to her to reference how clothes will look, as I am the same height!

  11. That's a great point about her not being quite "editorial" enough nowadays, Dina! Plus, now that she's in her mid-30's she's past the expiration date for most fashion models (ugh, I felt gross typing that). Vanessa (and Anouck) always looked like they were having such a good time wearing J.Crew, and I'm always going to prefer that look to "I'm wandering through a barren windswept landscape...so lost...so hungry...".

One of my favorite catalogs from recent years was the one where they featured staff and friends styling one item in different ways. That was cool, I wish they'd do that again. And Lauren Hutton.

  12. Vanessa was featured in the Boden catalog last year? I've always thought she was so pretty and made the clothes come alive. She looked healthy and happy unlike the models J. Crew picks for their current catalogs. I find them to be really boring and 'over posing'. The natural look of past models are gone.
