J.Crew offered a sneak peak to a few items a week before its official debut:
- Metallic-leather minaudière (Item 14666; $98.00)
- Ribboned-pearl necklace (Item 17763; $55.00)
- Pearl-cluster necklace (Item 14503; $125.00)
- Lyla printed peep toes (Item 15447; $250.00)
What are your thoughts on the new arrivals? Do you like or dislike any of the pieces? Do you think you will pre-order any of them?
Side note: This past week I ended up getting sick. So I apologize for not "keeping up" with the blog (like not posting this email sooner). I really appreciate everyone's understanding. :) And now back to J.Crew!
The shoes are nice, but way overpriced for fabric and plastic. I like the minaudière, very classic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer on getting sick! I hope you feel better. :)
ReplyDeleteiowa girl: Thanks for the well-wishes. :) I was holding off being sick for awhile, I think it was a matter of time before my body gave up. ;)
ReplyDeleteI really like the minaudiere. I hope you get well soon Alexis.
ReplyDeleteMeh, nothing that rocks my sox. Pass.
ReplyDeleteAlexis, your blog is awesome and I love the updates, but you never have to apologize for taking care of yourself! Hope you are feeling better! :)
ReplyDeleteNo excuses Alexis, I almost got sick without your updates!
ReplyDeletehaha, just kidding, I hope you're feeling better!!!! :)
It seems that only select few got this sneak peak, nothing new :( (BOO, JCrew!)
I'm not getting any of these items myself, but I still can't wait for May catalog! :)
Thank you for sharing the post! I too did not receive the email! Wondering if Jcrew is trying to build hype about their products to get people excited in this economy?
ReplyDeleteI love the pearl & grossgrain necklace so much I went and picked one up at Pentagon today! It reminds me of the Lanvin style! Love the papaya shoes and clutch as well! Love it, Love it, Love it!
pixelant
Alexis, I hope you are feeling better. Good that you took some time to tend to yourself.
ReplyDeleteThe silver minaudière is very similar to one my grandmother used to have. I'm going to ask my mother if it is still around somewhere. Looks like the Granny Chic is going strong for upcoming seasons.
The shoes are very nice, but I feel J.Crew shoes are overpriced for the quality and haven't bought any J.Crew footwear, other than the flat glenbrae boots, for almost two years now.
Hmmm, those necklaces will be found elsewhere for much less I'm guessing. I don't wear costume jewelry but the designs are nice.
I love the feminine looks, keep them coming J.Crew!
I love the pumps! J. Crew shoes can be spendy, but I've loved every single pair I have ever bought and think they're totally worth it. I might be one of the few that feels that way, but it is what it is. :D
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon, Alexis!
I will never buy JCrew shoes again. Both pairs I got were very poorly made. Wrinkled fabric on the toes and another very mismatched fabric on the back of the heels (flats) that make them look totally different from the back. They look like $15 Walmart shoes instead of $89 shoes! No thanks...
ReplyDeletewhen will the site be updated with the new arrivals?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I will get attacked for this, but J.Crew WAS offering their cardmembers something extra - forwarding it on to everyone and anyone sort of diminishes the extra perk.
ReplyDelete*Thanks* everyone for the well wishes. I am definitely feeling a lot better. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I agree with the comments about the shoes being expensive. But they are very pretty! :)
