Yes, it is that wonderful time!
A big "thanks!" to many of you who who let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $175+ with promo code LOVEIT. It is unclear when this offer will expire.
Although the minimum for this code is a bit high, it beats the $195 min for the recent MUSTHAVE code. :)
Don't fall for the ploy alexis!
ReplyDeleteThey introduced the higher 195 min so you would think 175 is a good deal now. Which looks like it worked from your comment about it being better than the last promo...
They're making you think what they want you to think... don't fall for the "it's better than the must have promo" because it's still high!
Anont at 6:20AM: LOL! You could be on to something! ;) And it did work, even though the new min is high, I did think it was at least better than the MUSTHAVE/ $195 min. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha Don't Fall I think your right! The Crew is practicing mind control and the ole bait & switch.
ReplyDeleteI will not be using this promo as I have yet to use the red card. I will use that red card mid or end of month a few times for my daughter. I have a few more items that showed up miraculously back in stock this morning for cheap.
Have a Happy Friday ladies and enjoy your weekend.
I agree---I love to shop J Crew, but wish they would stop with the game playing...I used my red card yesterday and was told I could not use it in combination with the teacher discount. My confusion comes about because on the official J Crew website, it states "All teachers receive a 15% off any purchase." Any purchase is any purchase. What did I miss?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteDon't fall for tricks you are right! It took me a couple seconds to finally realize that $175 for a min is STILL a LOT of money!
ReplyDeleteAnon 819-
From my understanding, you can only use your red card OR your student/teacher discount at the store but you can use either of those discounts IN ADDITION to the promotions or sales they have in the store. HTH!
they just sent out an email saying their "select" sweaters are up to 30% off...looks like only a handful of them were selected, but looks like some good deals :)
ReplyDeleteI am holding out for a better deal. J.Crew should just always offer free shipping or do a flat shipping rate like other stores do (6.00) or something...it's ridiculous when you have to pay $30 in shipping!
ReplyDeleteAnony@8:48
ReplyDeleteI think Anony@8:19 brings up a valid point. She is only trying to access what J.Crew has advertised it offers teachers. If I were a teacher, I would want the same. In this day and time, I think we all are looking for a deal!
NYC JCAs -- have you seen the cashmere villa cardigan in any of the stores here? TIA!
ReplyDeleteI would never expect a company to allow me to use two coupon codes or two coupon offers...if they do great but I would not expect it. JCrew is nice to allow teachers any deal. I would just be grateful when I can use it and when I cannot that is OK too b/c I had/have a 25% off card. People will always look for deals regardless of the economy. I am grateful for what offers/codes I can use. I am not greedy or demanding.
ReplyDeleteAnony @ 9:07:
ReplyDeleteYou may not be 'greedy' but the retailers sure are.
In my humble opinion, it is ok to ask if you can apply the extra's. The worst they can do is say no.
Well if someone is desperately looking for a red card, i found this on ebay
ReplyDeletebuy it now for $19.99

ReplyDeleteIt never hurts to ask but I don't complain about it on a blog then...
How is offering a discount of any kind greedy! LOL
ReplyDeleteRetailers are in it to make money--nothing new to discover there as well.
Thanks to all the folks above who pointed out that, while we can gripe, retailers get to set their own promotions. It's NOT that the teacher discount ("all sales") wasn't being "honored" in the store, it's that the NEW promotion (red card) stated, clearly, "not combinable."
ReplyDeleteWhile constant promotion gripes are a drag for some of us to read, I was sad to read (1) that folks were mailing their RED card to others [it clearly says on each card NOT TRANSFERABLE] and (2) someone just told folks you can "get" the education discount by USING SOMEONE ELSE'S "edu" account, even though you aren't a teacher or student [the person even wrote back on this blog with a thanks.
Yee gads. Let them set their promotions. Let's combine what we can. Then let's just appreciate the product and styling with one another--the point of this site! Do we need to be cheaters?
Dear JCrew:
ReplyDeletePlease advise as to when you are unloading left overs to TJ Maxx again:)
Thank you!
Sort of OT: I wanted to give a quick review of the fit of the Milla gown.
ReplyDeleteI am 5'-4" and in JC dreses normally wear a 6R or 8R, and sometimes can wear an 8P or 10P. I ordered an 8R.
The top was bigger through the bust than a typical JC dress.(I am 36B.) The v-neck is deep but the top still provides decent coverage. I also would need to have the shoulders tailored because one or the other kept sliding off. Sizing down to a 6 probably could resolve the fit issues on top, but, for now, the skirt will be too snug through the hips in that size.
JC describes the skirt as being slightly a-line. Slightly is the key word. I thought the dress fit more snuggly through the hips than other "slightly a-line" styles I have purchased in the same size. Especially given the fit of the top.
That said, because the skirt only has a slight a-line, the length was still quite flattering on a shortie like me and I could have had the hem taken up without changing the look of the skirt.
The dress is a collection piece but it does not come with any fancy packaging, which did not bother me one bit. I dislike how much packaging needs to pitched/recylced everytime I receive an order. I prefer things to be packaged simply--just enough to protect the garment from damage.
11:02: ITA about packaging. Some people complain when they get a collection piece that doesn't have "special packaging" but I think that is a total waste of paper etc. just to make you feel special that you bought a "collection item." Get over it--the packaging is going to get thrown away anyway! (I think there can be exceptions for something very delicate, for ex. with a lot of beading, that might get damaged without a little extra wrapping).
ReplyDeleteI think 10:57 is flame. You can't just make up an .edu address like you can open a hotmail or yahoo account. Only educational institutions have that for their domain.
I don't advocate using someone else's .edu address to get a discount, BUT I don't think mailing the red card to someone else is "cheating" if you are not going to use it. It's not like it's a credit card with your name embossed on it--it's just a general coupon that was sent out to a whole bunch of customers.
Ummm yes you can create your own student email address. what, do you think jcrew seriously sends an email to confirm? LOL. I created my own and I know others that have so clearly it works. It's not rocket science.
ReplyDeletehi - fyi, i just got in the mail today a 25% off card for all merchandise (including sale items!) at all jcrew stores and online, and it's good until april 30. i'll be keeping an eye out for cute stuff...but so far i'm not terribly crazy about their spring 09 offerings.
ReplyDeleteoops - i just saw your post a few days ago on the jcrew red card. :) thanks for clarifying that it can be used multiple times! :)

ReplyDeleteAnon @ 9"07am,
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly starting to realize the same thing. I first started onlline shopping with Victoria's Secret. So if you've ever bought anything from them online, you'd know that you're allowed to enter up to 5 (yes, 5!) promotional codes at once. JCrew is sadly not the same. But I can't fault them for that (especially since the quality of their merchadise is so much better than VS).
anon at 11:16: you're right about the extra beading needing extra packaging-I bought the glisse cami last week and it arrived in a brown paper bag without any extra packaging and it arrived RUINED-bead laying in the bottom of the bag. This is definitely a piece that requires a BOX and some extra padding when shipping, IMO.
ReplyDeleteI did however use a code for free shipping, I wonder if they choose to not do extra special packaging when the buyer isn't paying for shipping.
Anon @ 10:33 am,
ReplyDeleteWhile I sort of understand what you're saying-- that is, these promotions/deals should be exlusive for the customers JCrew wants to give them to-- I wonder if you notice that you're on a blog that keeps a list of (somewhat private) promotional codes on the upper right corner? We share everything here. So while I get what you're saying, I'm not sure if anyone here is going to feel that bad for sharing these things; I know I don't.
When my BF and I are shopping and he wants to buy something from JCrew, I tell the cashier that I'll be using my student ID, even though he's buying. Same thing happens online: my student email, my info, his credit card. And they're fine with it. So, I don't think JCrew is going to care if people trade red cards.
Bear in mind that the red card entices customers to shop at J.Crew who might not do so otherwise. Profit post 25% discount might be lower than it otherwise would be, but at least the sale is happening. Those customers who are risk adverse and afraid an item will sell out will pay a premium (full price); everyone else with a higher risk tolerance pays less via sales or discounts. J.Crew prices this customer behavior into its overall business model, so products will be initially overpriced since it's understood that they will be discounted over time. There's whole inventory simulations companies typically run to estimate profit maximization across different price points and inventory volumes.
ReplyDeleteLong story short, J.Crew would strongly prefer that you give your disocunt card to someone else should you not plan on using it, because ultimately, it'll motivate purchases that wouldn't otherwise happen.
And having said that, I still think it's ridiculous how complicated J.Crew is about discounts. Banana lets you combine discounts & free shipping with no problem, plus they've always been incredibly gracious about price adjustments post sale. Part is presumably the psychology of making J.Crew products appear more exclusive/attractive/desirable because they're harder to get, but it annoys the hell out of me.
I don't think double dipping discounts is the #1 thing ppl are after.
ReplyDeleteThe main issue with the student/educator discount is that the policy is unclear. Sometimes you can use the offer in the store. Sometimes you cannot. Sometimes you can use it online with promos. Sometimes you cannot. You can get free shipping OR the discount. Sometimes ppl get both.
The lack of consistent policy creates a climate of mistrust. It also makes J Crew look as though they have horrible internal communication since each phone rep or store SA applies the policy based on *their* understanding. It's like they put the policy through a game of Telephone, instead of having clear guidelines typed up for the employees.
I don't have the discount but after reading about this on a weekly basis for months now, the consistency of use seems to be the main complaint.
I think there is a lot of confusion about the red card--if recipients are selected at random or not, if they are targeting people who haven't shopped in a while, don't shop in B&Ms, etc. I just want to say that when I mentioned I was shopping with my red card, I got treated like a queen--that indicated to me that recipients are chosen on the basis of number/amount of prior purchases. I'm not usually a big spender, but the past few months of JC deals corresponded with a real need to update my closet, so I've been placing multiple orders a week since early last Fall. Through that time I have put up with multiple cancelled orders, incorrect items shipped, and dirty/damaged FS items, so I feel like I deserve it.
ReplyDeleteHey Yall,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to give everyone a heads up about inventory that a little J Crew birdie told me... From now on b&m's will not be stocking as much of the "specialty" items as it has in the past. Of course they will still have all the basics and plenty of them (tees, tanks, chinos, accessories, etc), and will restock those as needed. But for the other items like the beaded graphics, dresses, skirts, blouses etc. the stores will get just one or two size runs (maybe 3 for the largest stores) and they will not be replenished. I guess this is so things dont just sit in the store forever and get marked down 900 times. I dont know if this is the case for online as well. Just wanted to let all my fellow JCA's know, because I know I am always tempted to wait, but if I really really love something I snatch it up just in case! There is nothing worse than seeing something you loved but waited for (like a certain chiffon rose t-shirt for $50) sell out and then turn up on ebay for $150+!!!! Yay for being a recessionista =)
Great, so . . . my B&M sucks anyway, and now it will suck more???
ReplyDeleteHonestly......teacher's are the biggest grippers about their damn discount.
ReplyDeleteI understand teachers do alot but so do alot of other people. Please quit complaning......
I received another Welcome Offer I posted yesterday. I know it's no big deal but here it is anyway.
ReplyDeleteFREE SHIPPING ON $150 OR MORE
CODE F34W6C
VALID THRU THURSDAY, APRIL 9TH
Anon@11:18 - I'd like to call BS on your claim. I am a teacher, and my work email does NOT end in .edu. I placed an order this week, and politely emailed using my work email, asking that my educator discount be applied (which I only learned about from JCA - thanks, friends!). A customer rep DID email me back to confirm...so in my experience, it seems that JCrew does follow up on this discount request.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't normally get my ire up about this, but being fraudulent just to get 15%, then bragging about it doesn't seem to fit the purpose of this blog. I'd also hate to see JCrew decide to give up this discount due to rampant imposters!
I'm curious if anyone has ordered or seen irl the chiffon cascade jersey tee? It looks kinda cool, but I'm worried that the chiffon might not be very flattering? TIA!
ReplyDeleteZ...please go back and re-read gigiofca's recent comment. She hit the nail on the head. (Most) teachers aren't complaining ABOUT the discount--they are complaining about how the policy is so inconsistent. And please don't group ALL teachers into one group. I am a teacher and I am nothing but grateful for the discount. Thanks.
ReplyDeletePlease lets stop with this:
ReplyDeleteI understand where you are coming from. I'm glad to hear that you are so appreciative, but some I fear try to go to far with it and think they are above evreyone else.
Good for you. :-)
http://lolfed.com/2009/04/03/bargain-shoppers-you-embarrass-mickey-drexler-jcg/
ReplyDeleteWow- just read the Anon at 2:13 link article. Come on Mickey! Have a little perspective. I can only hope those quotes were taken out of context.
ReplyDeleteAnon at 2:13: I read an article in the Chicago Tribune this morning with those quotes from Mickey. I'd just like to say I am NEVER embarassed by getting a bargain!
ReplyDeleteI read the link from anon at 2:13.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting....I believe there is some truth to it. It kinda of all goes back to stimulating the economy. People are really at a stand still with their money, which in the end is hurting everyone more. I honestly believe that things will not get better until people start spending more money. It has to happen sometime.....
I didn't think the quotes were that bad; he perhaps mischose a word or two. The guy writing the article had a hayday. I'm not a fan of sarcasm.
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 1:55 PM,
ReplyDeleteLOL. Funny. I guess if you think standing in front of a cashier and saying "can he use my discount?" and then getting said discount or ordering over the phone and letting them know someone else will be paying and still getting that discount is lying, then OK. Yes, my (hopefully) future children and I will be big fat old stinkin' lairs. I will teach the my evil ways. Oh, and my mother, too. And all my sisters and cousins. Yes, with our student IDs and red cards in hand, we shall take over the world one shared promotional code at a time. Mwahahahahahah!
C'mon, lighten up. It's all good (and fair, according the SAs and CS reps).
OT here, but if anyone isnt going to use or has already bought all they want with their 25% off card I didnt get one and would love to have one!
ReplyDeleteemail me at dth.cali@gmail.com
I think I'm reading the quotes differently, especially the first one. It seems to me that he was saying that the retialers felt embarassed that they had to dropped their prices so drastically in order to mover merchandise, which makes sense. It still baffles me when a new item appears on the website and 14 days later the price drops by, say, $50. And I'm sure JCrew is embarrassed by it.
ReplyDeleteUm... retialers = retailers. Heh heh :?
ReplyDeleteTried to post this on yesterday's 30%off post, and trying again.
ReplyDeleteWhat really seems like abuse of J.Crew's policy and being dishonest to me is trying to get the student/educator discount WHEN YOU ARE NOT A STUDENT/EDUCATOR. Doesn't matter if you're paying the bills for your kids to be students. That is not what the discount is for!!! Sending an email from your kid's .edu account is just plain dishonest. I am not a student or educator so I have no stake in this, but the entitlement thing just bugs me and I had to say it. Thanks!
cat- get over it and move on
ReplyDeleteYOu know I was just reviewing an order I placed yesterday with the 30% off. It was for 5 items $268 before tax and shipping. Tax was $21 (about 8%) and shipping was $18.50!!!!. I should have my head examined for paying $18.50 for shipping.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why tax on Jcrew.com is higher then other internet retailers. I also placed orders yesterday with Gap and Lands End and the tax on those purchases was less then 4%.
I'm really questioning why (other then the fact that their clothes are so cute) I'm so loyal to JCrew.
Dani- I had the same epiphany the other day. I told myself that I would never pay for shipping at jcrew again, esp. for an item i've never tried on--no matter how great the "deal". It was working great--I was shopping at my B&M and using the free ship codes. Then I fell for it with the 30% off promo and immediately regretted it. I won't forget this going forward. Something about their rates seems unethical.
ReplyDeletelexiloo, you got it exactly right. Mickey is embarrassed for himself and his company!
ReplyDeleteI don't think he said anything out of line here at all. I think he's a retail genius and really gets his customers.
Remember the days when J. Crew used to give out a weekly free ship code, no minimum required? Now we're lucky if we get a $100 free ship code.
ReplyDeleteI have 10 coupons to give away for 30% off all Ralph Lauren stores (Ralph Lauren, Rugby, Polo RL Factory Store, RRL) as often as you like from March 31-April 14. If anyone wants, I can mail them!
ReplyDeleteAlso code to use online for any of those sites is RLSP2009.
As someone who uses the student/educator discount, I feel sad about people using it unethically. It's your business, really, but please keep it to yourself and don't jeopardize it for the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cat and Soon To Be Phd posters - I think Jcrew figures there will be unethical behavior in any type of promotion and they factor that in. It's a shame that people will actually flaunt their less than ethical behavior as if it's something to be congratulated. "Woo hoo, I skirted the system and got the discount."
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, please keep your tacky behavior to yourselves.
I commented on the 30% off post about sale items being removed right before the sale. Guess what? Some of the stuff are now back on sale. Men's year-round solid classic-fit suit pant was $115 before the "sale" and then reverted to its retail price of $165 during the "sale" and now it's back down to $115. I wish JCrew would stop these fake sales. I mean, it's not like the consumers are that stupid to fall such artifice. The more I notice them, the more I'm disincline to buy. It is as simple as that.
ReplyDelete^that is very underhanded by them. Thanks for the heads-up - I'd never noticed, but now I'll pay more attention with the items I'm interested in.
ReplyDeleteO/T I remember someone was asking about the fit of Ripstop Cargo pants, I just received them and they are going back to J Crew.
ReplyDeleteThe cargo pockets are large so if you have curves it makes them look larger, also the pants are City fit not Favorite fit as the desciption oline indicates. Also the fabric is thinner compared to last years Ripstop pants. Not worth full price IMO.
Lexieloo- I think you have just been lucky to get away with it. Several times I was buying something then showed my student ID and then while I was getting out my credit card my mom offered to pay and the SA said no because if it was my discount I had to pay. Same thing has happened to a friend of mine. Your SAs are really nice! I'm jealous. Would save me the hassle of paying for it then getting the money back from my mom.
ReplyDeleteCat,
ReplyDeleteNice to see you were raised with some values. I agree with what you said:)

Hi All,
ReplyDeleteI am interested in exchanging
a VICTORIA RUFFLE in olive green size 6 for size 4 (will consider other colors). Of course brand new with tags attached.
I am between size 4 and 6, own alredy one in size 4 and it definitely fits me better.
Might consider sale, but looking for an exchange as this point.
If you are interested, please email me on account: izakupy (ebay id)
This past Wednesday they marked down some items in my shopping cart that I couldn't find in the either the regular price clothes or on the final sale page. It was only after the 30% final sale went off, that they put those items in the final sale pages. The only reason I knew they were on sale was because they were in my cart.
ReplyDeleteBoo Crew.
Hi All,
ReplyDeleteIf any of you are wondering about the Silk Ripple Top, item 12638, I did a review of it on my blog.
It wasn't pretty.
As a PS at a Jcrew, I tend to hope that people aren't abusing the discounts and using fake emails, but I am not naive and I know people are cheating. I am sure that it isn't going unnoticed (we get constant messages from corporate about people supplying fake emails). The ability to receive the discount without having to supply a student or teacher id card will eventually be a thing of the past.
ReplyDeleteMany of the SAs and mangers are willing to try to get you every discount possible (if you are a client shopping for clothes for your college student, whose id has been supplied to your PS at some point, they will sometimes give you the student discount.)
No one I know at this company is trying to trick or cheat you, just provide you the best possible customer service possible.
Hi, does anyone know about the J.Crew New York Bridal trunk show? I have just signed up for it. It's on April 25th & April 26th at the Rockefeller Center store. If you're in New York and would like to attend, send email to ashley@jcrew.com to RSVP.
ReplyDeleteAnon at 5:35
ReplyDeleteI also noticed something that went to full price during the extra30 promo. The uptown totes were marked down to $169, but went back up to $265. Now that the promo is over, they're back to the discounted price.
There was a good update this morning
ReplyDeleteAs KBear said, a really good update. I was finally able to get the clean rinse trouser jeans in my size and a rosette tee!
ReplyDeleteI checked the update as soon as it happened. I didn't see anything I wanted.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, ladies! If anyone intrested , there is a large metallic Thompson tote in Gold on hold at Columbia Mall, MD (under Cece). She found one,I did not know and put it on hold for her. It's $89.99 and if you have a red card, it's even cheaper.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love mine (so do other JCAs ), so check it before it's gone. I have RL pics of it on my blog (took it with me on my recent trip to Vegas).
Thanks Kbear for the update on the update lol. I was finally able to order another Lea cardi I have been trying to catch early morning for months. I hope it ships. Your the best!
ReplyDeletehere's a thought: how about if you're doing dishonest things like inventing .edu addresses, please do not post your cheating ways here. the honest ones don't want to partake, and the dishonest ones can come up with their own scurrilous ideas.
ReplyDeleteand maybe, just maybe, that will keep jcrew from penalizing the honest ones a little longer.
and maybe we can all go back to continuing the productive, helpful discussions that are a hallmark of this blog.
I am sure the owner of this blog can control what people do and reveal on HER BLOG. Many other blog owners remove comments they do not like or that are truthful about their reviews etc
ReplyDeleteThis world and the internet is full of cheats, judgemental and self righteous people. I do my best to refrain from such behavior but I am not perfect. Scoundrels do what scoundrels do. lol
Speaking of dishonest shoppers:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jnTgTTGTtQ-8wtrK1CnKHzYQjf3wD97AVP401
SAN MARCOS, Calif. (AP) — A couple who went on national television to brag about making $100,000 shoplifting and selling their loot on eBay is under investigation by federal agents.
Matthew and Laura Eaton of San Marcos appeared on the "Dr. Phil" show last fall to share their story, aided by a video of their three small children accompanying them on a three-day shoplifting binge.
Well J. Crew's tricks is why I don't buy during the 30% off promos, plus the fact that it's final sale. They raise prices, hide goods, etc. Prices tend to be better in-store, but I am too busy to go hunting for things at multiple J. Crews....
ReplyDeleteAs for people abusing the discounts... hopefully J. Crew note those individual's accounts and blacklist the abusers instead of taking the discounts away from everyone. I was a college student once and understand how hard it is to want new clothes but not have any money. But then again - if you can't afford it, wait for it to go on sale, or shop somewhere else! The 15% discount is a nice gesture to teachers and college students, so be grateful you get it at all.
NY&CO coupon:
ReplyDeleteI got a $25 off a purchase of $75 or more good from April 7-20 to New York & Company. I'm not going to use it. If one of you guys wants it, I can mail it to you.
Hmm...
ReplyDeleteI am a SA at J.Crew. I was told by my store director that while J.Crew corporate obviously realizes that non-students and non-teachers will take advantage of this discount, and while they don't like it, realize that it nonetheless drives traffic into the store and creates purchases where it might otherwise not be the case. They DO want to reward the honest teachers and students, and would rather not take it away because of some advantageous individuals.
Going back to an earlier topic on this post, I agree that extra packaging for collection items is not always necessary but I do appreciate and expect the garment bag, if it is listed as included. I take meticulous care of my clothing and accessories and storing the special pieces in a garment bag helps to keep them dust-free and protected, especially if it is an item used only occasionally.
ReplyDeleteThis winter I purchased the Shimmy dress deeply discounted on FS, with an additional promo. The dress arrived in perfect condition, but without the garment bag. I emailed J.Crew and they shipped me a garment bag at no charge. I thought they may refuse, given it was final sale and I paid a fraction of the original price, but they were very pleasant and accommodated my request politely and promptly.
The garment bags are a nice touch that most upscale retailers provide and I sure appreciate that J.Crew includes it for those special items.

ReplyDeleteSorry I did not know where to post this. Does anyone know if this blouse is sold out? Thanks, Suzanne
Georgia Girl - be careful of storing your special items in vinyl or plastic garment bags long term. It is not good for the fabric. The fabric can not breathe. If you are in a warm climate or have any humidity, it can build up inside the plastic and break down the fabric over time. Also, with white clothing, it can have a tendency to yellow. There are low cost alternatives that are vinyl/mesh or cotton.
ReplyDeleteThe Jcrew PS (annon @10:55) said: "if you are a client shopping for clothes for your college student, whose id has been supplied to your PS at some point, they will sometimes give you the student discount."
ReplyDeleteThe key word there was "sometimes" which is what GigiofCa was saying in her comment about their policy being unclear. Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't. And that is what creates confusion and complaints.
Changing topics, someone asked about the fit of the chiffon cascade jersey tee. I just got mine and i have mixed feelings about it. The chiffon part hangs too low, bulging at the bottom and I doesn't look very flattering. However i tried it tucked in, like it shows in the product image with the gateau skirt and that helps a lot, because it draws attention to the the top part, the collar, which actually looks pretty delicate and cute. I'm still unsure if i want to keep it or not, but if i do i would only wear it tucked in. Hope this helps!
Alexis, I wanted to share this interesting article on this blog since it's a really thorough description of the JCrew/TIMEX watch featured in their catalogs:

Thanks for the advice Anony 10:36. My cedar-lined closet is humidity-balanced and I take items out of the garment bags twice yearly to freshen as well. Most garment bags do allow minimal airflow as they are not completely sealed. Dry cleaning bags that are tied up at the bottom are the worst.
ReplyDeleteI am truly meticulous (some might say mental) about my clothing and accessories. I am completing my spring closet refresh this week, in preparation for Easter. Once that is done it will truly feel like spring.
