This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI visited yesterday. 25% off regular price items and 40% off sale items.
Madewell reviews here!

I visited last Thursday and reviewed some items on my blog.
ReplyDeleteJust love your reviews....please keep them coming... Carolyn
DeleteI did visit this weekend but just to make a return. The store I went to also had 25% off all regular price merchandise and 40% off sale. Two things I noticed in the sale section that I thought could be of interest was that the Linen Chevron dress was $69.99 (which is $30 less than online) and that all colors of the Asymetrical Zip Sweater were $69.99 (versus just one color online). These prices were before the 40% off. Also, off topic, but jcrew is right beside Brooks Brothers and they are having their Friends & Family sale. You can get 25% off with code FF25 but hurry because it ends today!
ReplyDeleteI went to Madewell on Newbury Street in Boston on Friday afternoon to make a return. I was struck by how busy the store was - there were dozens of shoppers. I haven't seen that at a J Crew store a long time. I am sharing the sentiment here that Madewell is really appealing right now and that J Crew is floundering.
ReplyDeleteI gotta get a (Madewell) Outbound jacket!
OT - Madewell. doing cholo gear & Bill Cosby.
ReplyDelete* the perfect tunic in cotton camo
* dusk camo cardigan
* flannel ex-boyfriend shirt in buffalo check
* cargo workshirt
has anyone seem the CAMBRIDGE CABLE TURTLENECK SWEATER
ReplyDeleteitem b2795 yet? it wasn't in my store to try on unfortunately.
i want to pick up another color (i have two from like 4 years ago) and they're really great in the winter... but i noticed the description says "relaxed fit" and i usually size down for that... does anyone know if the new ones are running big or if i should stick with the same size as years past?
I also have a number of the Cambridge Cable Turtlenecks but I found last year's version a bit slimmer than the versions I have from years previous, especially in the arms. Maybe this year will have a version closer to the ones prior to last. I'm hoping that is the case, I don't wear the one I have from last year nearly as much.
DeleteI haven't been to the store in almost 2 months! (Was in Europe for most of that time)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the winter coats (specifically the Majesty peacoat) are in stores yet? I know it's only September, but in Canada, you never know when winter's gonna hit, lol.
Thanks!
Hi J.Lee - at my B&M, they said that they would not be carrying the Majesty peacoat in store this year. Probably has something to do with the strategy of moving the "basics" (Jackie cardigans, Minnie pants, etc.) to online-only. This may not necessarily apply to all stores and may be different in Canada....just what I heard. HTH!
DeleteHi J.Lee,
DeleteI got the black Majesty online and realized that the collar's design has been slightly modified. Now It is wider (by 1 inch, maybe?) that in previous years. Everything else looks the same to me. I still love this coat.
Before the Madewell promo ends...two dress reviews - the tweedweave shift and the textured sweatshirt dress.
ReplyDeleteOh -- also, I'm thinking of ordering the coated roadtrip jacket. Measurements are:
DeleteSize XS - chest = 39", waist = 39.25"
Size S - chest = 41", waist = 41.25"
I puchased and then returned the No.2 pencil skirt in wool. The evergreen is and acorn color ones are my favorite. But I noticed that they charged $130 in the store before the discount and $110 online. I don't understand this, I returned it to the store. I then purchased it online. Purchased the acorn too, ended up only being $77 online instead of $95 in person. Saved almost $20 a piece on them.
ReplyDeleteForgive my grammatical errors btw...first time commenting.
