JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

Also, please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel free to include links to your blog (where you incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Who has been able to style the turner pant?! I tried them and they were so comfy, but also so outside of my comfort zone. I'm afraid they'd be one of those pieces that would sit in my closet. I've seen the floral on a few people. Any ideas, how are you styling them?!

    1. When I wear something loose on the bottom, I like to wear something that is more fitted on the top. Something like the Perfect Fit tees, Stretch suiting tees, Long Merino Wool ribbed sweater or Stretch Perfect Shirt.
I also prefer these pants with a bit of a heel, rather than a flat, although I don't do high heels. HTH.

    2. Jamie7: I've styled my pants with a Chambray Shirt and a statement necklace. I also think that the Classic Long Merino Wool Cardigan would work well too. I hope that helps!

    3. Hi Jamie7! I have the black ones and and only wear them with heels(am 5 2"). My favorite way is with the keeper chambray or a white popover and my Martina wedges. They also look good with a boyfriend sweater.

  2. I've worn them with:
    1) a pale blue loose v-neck tee and black chunky heeled sandals
    2) a chambray shirt, untucked, with black loafers
    3) a rust-colored silk blouse, tucked in, black blazer and black booties.

  5. In my most recent post, J.Crew Neon Lace Dress in Napa Valley, I styled the neon jcrew lace dress that many people had problems with because of the bright bright bright color. All I did was wearing a black jewel statement necklace! The contrast between black and neon goes well not only for dresses, but also many other neon items. Hope everyone can try it! :)
