This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
I won't be going to the mall this weekend.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend everyone!
I won't be able to make it this weekend, but look forward to hearing more reviews of the new arrivals from those who do get to go. :)

ReplyDeleteStaying away from the J. Crew website this weekend - did way too much damage during the LOVEIT promo! But I did notice that Ebates is now offering an 8% rebate for J. Crew! That's huge!
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I was, really looking forward to the opening of the Toronto store.
ReplyDeleteOT, does anyone know if rewards cards have been sent out yet? I usually get mine a couple of weeks later here in Canada, but shouldn't they be on their way by now?
AHHHHHHHHHHH sorry to vent but I just got word that my size 8 Jardin Skirt which was waitlisted until Aug 22nd is SOLD OUT!!! This order was placed months ago.
ReplyDeleteTG I ordered a size 6 and that has shipped but I'm not cinfident it will fit.
SO MAD JC!!! Not a good way to start the weekend.

ReplyDeletefyi it was the Dark Pewter color...
ReplyDeleteDaniBP - just got my rewards card yesterday in the mail, along with an invitation for a "private morning of shopping and refreshments" tomorrow morning. So I will be attending and checkout the new arrivals! Will report back.
ReplyDeleteMy LOVEIT order is out for delivery today. That's enough for me this weekend. I have a few new items in my basket online, but I'm waiting for a discount.
ReplyDeleteJust went yesterday. Didn't try anything on from Fall but did buy the Arianna dress as a swimsuit cover up for 17.99!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll skip this weekend -- there doesn't seem to be much left in my local stores, and the LOVEIT promo both dented my budget AND spoiled me ... now I'm hesitant to buy anything lest a % off sale kick in the following day.
ReplyDeleteAnd man, the laceover tank in the Poppy color is already backordered through the 3rd week of August. What has been peeps' experience? Do backorders generally ship out, and do they ship on time?
Also wanted to add that I am offloading both of my linen cnference skirts, size 10, in Muslin and Beechwood for $30 shipped each or $50 shipped for both. If not sold on eBay over the weekend, I'll put them on Monday's exchange, but wanted to give a heads up. I apparently am a bit fluffier than I thought I was. :/
DaniBP - I'm from the midwest and received my rewards card on Wed. of this week.
ReplyDeleteI will be receiving my shipment from last weekend's 40% off sale today. I am done with purchases for a bit...until the coats start coming into stock! Can't wait to see what they bring out this year!
ReplyDeleteI also received both an email from my local store and an insert in with my rewards card inviting me to an instore event this Saturday. Unlike some locations, my store is not offering a 20% off fall items promotions so I will be passing. I had a code and ordered a few things online instead.
ReplyDeleteLauren: So sorry to hear about your skirt...that is so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand what is going on with their inventory of Jardin skirts. Seems like a lot of JCAs bought that skirt within the first few days it was on the website, but only a handful have actually been delivered! Did they not make more than 10 of these skirts?!
I visited last night and tried on a few things. Such as...
ReplyDeleteJackie in african violet (currently wearing with my campo de fiori tank, love!). Yes, the Jackies are definitely declining in quality. I had to go through the whole pile to find an acceptable one that didn't have weird light spots or pulled thread. So lame.
Pique stripe tank #48405... wanted this since I first saw it. But definitely size down. I am normally a 4/6, 34D and I had to get an XS. And it isn't tight, at all. Sounds like the petite among us may be sized out of this one even though there is XXS.
Leopard tippi sweater... honestly, looks like jones new york that I'd find in the clearance section at Marshalls. The print just isn't beautiful or high quality at all. Did not pass the "would I buy this were it hanging in Kohl's" test. Ick. As far as sizing, the S was a little tight, but it would work... the M was loose.
The leopard pencil skirt definitely looks like something you'd find in F21 for $18. It is horrible in person. It looks like it was washed 50 times; it's that faded. Stay away.
My store didn't have much else from the new arrivals, unfortunately.
Oh, and the (tiny, picked over) sale section was still 30% off.
ReplyDeleteITA re: the leopard skirt, J Crew JD. I swooned over it online but didn't read the description closely enough to see it was cotton. So when I saw it in store I was like......nooooooo. :( Were it made of double-serge wool, I'd have bought it at full price in a heartbeat. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI went yesterday to return the straw beach hat I bought for vacation ... first wear on the beach, and the hat part literally started unravelling from the brim. Quality issues on a STRAW HAT? I was prepared for a fight because it was over 30 days, but the SA took it back.
ReplyDeleteI was craving leopard, but was as disappointed as others in the Pencil Skirt and the Tippy. F21 indeed. I did buy the leopard-print scarf as a consolation prize, the print is nice and saturated.
Lauren,
ReplyDeleteYou can do an WWFI for the Jardin skirt since it is still full price. I saw a bunch of them in Paramus NJ, but it was a week ago. I am sure some other store will have it.
WRT the inventory, I placed a small order this morning and noticed that the backorder date for some of the double-serge wool skirts has been extended from August 15 to August 22. I assume they are receiving shipments every week or so and the next shipment for August 15 is already sold out. Surely they will make enough of these, they are one of their staples. Although last year the Nordic blue sold out fairly fast. I guess we'll see.
ReplyDeleteWondering what is going on with the order I placed on Tuesday morning that still hasn't shipped. Three FP items that were, and still appear to be in stock. Waiting for my PS to get to work so I can ask her to look into it for me.
I'll be going in to make some returns. During the extra 40% promo they sent me the Indie dress in black, in the wrong size! (00 instead of 0) so it has to go back, along with the leopard iphone case that I thought would be cute. IRL it seems flimsy and cheap.
ReplyDeleteUm, still no word on my order from last Saturday. Not even the, "we're sorry" email :(
Lauren, the JC in Charleston, SC, just got lots of jardin skirts in on Tuesday. You could call them and have them ship one to you (Billy is my ps there and is great, Christine and Libby are managers and they're also really good to work with).
ReplyDeleteI was there this past Tuesday, so I won't be visiting again this weekend. I'm going to wait until our tax-free weekend next week. So happy that my rewards came yesterday.
Just went to the Stanford Mall JCrew in Palo Alto—they said they had all their fall items out. No sign of the cord jacket or collection items, though.
ReplyDeleteFor anyone turned off by some of the reviews of the New Cafe Capri in Wool (scratchy?), I tried them on and they were SOFT! Drapey. Bought the camel, would have loved other colors. Also bought the Tippi Sweater in leopard and in heather dark grape (which is a rich jewel violet).
Eagerly awaiting sightings of the much-anticipated longer fall skirts . . .
Will not be visiting a b&m or website. Will be waiting til fall for any fall items. Still haven't worn all of my new 'summer' items yet!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'm hitting the store this weekend, as I just popped in the other day.
ReplyDeleteI just posted lots of pics of the Viridian Green pencil skirt, Decadent Red schoolboy and Quincy Tartan Boy Shirt HERE!
I went yesterday to pick up my Hutton linen pants from hemming.
ReplyDeleteI had my reward card with me but I left with nothing. I had another look at some of the new arrivals:
Leopard pencil skirt
Tried on the just for this blog (too much animal print for my style). The skirt is cotton and the print is slightly faded but pretty and the fit was very flattering, imo. Being cotton and unlined has an advantage of machine wash (but it may make it even more faded).
It is way too much to ask for unlined cotton skirt, it shodul be no more than $50.
Leopard Shirt:
I was dissapointed in this one. The print is nice but the fabric is stiffer than it should be to make it work. It fits kind off boxy and this cancels out the sexy vibe making it more grandma chic. his shirt woudl be much better in slim cut and silk/lawn blend. Not even on sale for me.
Double serge skirt in Viridian Green.
Beautiful color and well made. I am just not into greens this year.
I think I will order one in flame to try. If you want the green skirt faster you can call Paramus, they have them in all sizes. But call fast because last week they had full size range in dahlia and yacht blue cafe capris and there was only one pair of dahlia left and couple of yacht blue ones yesterday.
Hacking Jacket:
Checked the feel of fabric (charcoal)again and confirmed that it felt rough to me. Hopefully it is better in other colors.
Schoolboy Blazers:
Confirmed that the wool feels thin and cheap. Definitely inferior to even last year. Not even on super sale for me.
Cashmere cable.
Plushy and colors are beautiful. It is shorter and more boxy in the body than usual. It definitely adds bulk. It fits more liek a sweatshirt. The sleeves are very short, even shorter than usual 3/4 length). I am in between S and M in tops and I tried an S but I am now thinking that M would probably look better. Sizing down did not work, it was still boxy, so I think it is better to go for slouchy.
Lucinda Blouse.
They only had them in flame and chestnut. Flame is blinding bright. I would size down on this one, especially if you have narrower shoulders and are smaller than D cup. It fitted nicely, the chestnut is beautiful color. It has a simple blousy cut, also bordering on grandma chic if you don't style it right. I also don't like solid silk blouses since they are very unforgiving to the tiniest spots. But I would still like to try it in spicy gold.
Anyone have the cavalry skirt and worn it yet? I am between sizes on this item, tried on the 10 in the store- it was slightly snug, and if I gained a few pounds it would be called 'tight'. I was wondering, since it is 100% cotton like the cargo pants, whether anyone else thought it would stretch out a half size like the cotton cargos always do, or jeans. I call it a 'buy it tight' purchase. Or not? Help!
ReplyDeleteTIA everyone.
Maybe I'm going crazy and am just too obsessed with this particular skirt, but I think Bobbie on the Kathie Lee and Hoda show was wearing the No. 2 pencil skirt in Veridian Green during the beauty talk this morning! Did anyone else notice it?
ReplyDeleteI was in earlier and saw a few fall things but very little of the beautiful colors. Don't anticipate going back
ReplyDeleteI got my rewards card Monday with my catalogue. It had the insert about shopping Saturday 9-11, but when I asked a SA she told me no extra % off would be offered. I ended up just ordering everything I wanted on the red phone since my store only had black and grey wool skirts and cafe capris.
ReplyDeleteTurns out my items are backordered til October... at least it'll be cool enough to wear them then!
Strange about the jardin skirts - I got mine shipped to me this week, but it was a petite size, so maybe they get those quicker?
ReplyDeleteFYI - the dusty clay is darker than the product shot IRL. Like a lighter version of a typical terracota pot. Unfortunately it didn't work for me.
AppGal- I TOTALLY was thinking the same thing! It looked nice especially with her bright blue blouse.
ReplyDeleteUpcoming Items reviews:
ReplyDeleteFrom 2011 Fall Lookbook
Look 6
This dress is made of 100% polyester with 100% poly lining. Yuk! It is swishy and stiff. Enough said.
Look 9
Loved both item. Skirt fits like double serge pencil. Maybe a little looser in waist. Nicely made and pretty tweed. $128.
Don't know if I can wear them together but the skirt will be so pretty with black v-neck.
Loved the sweater. Slouchy but sexy fit. I would say size down or the V may be borderline deep. It has very long sleeves. $198. That's the reason I did not buy it. Waiting for at least 20% off.
I also saw the wool popover from look 1 and poncho from look 7. I was lot interested but if anybody want me to try them please let me know.
Also saw Valentina Leopard pumps but only in the window display. But I saw the same print in flats and I was not impressed. It looks plasticky and did not care for the pattern. Leopard spots look more like smudges.

ReplyDeletehoneybee: So glad you noticed it too! She did look great...loved the color-blocked look she had going on. It totally confirmed my need to have this skirt! :)
ReplyDeleteAlexis I just clicked back on to visit and saw the new header - so cute. I loved the one you had with all the shorts - but I also love this new one - Thanks for brightening my day :!!
ReplyDeleteajc and math teacher thank you so much for your suggestions. I see on the website it will let you order with a waitlist date of 9/22 I just don't understand how this works! Extrememly frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going! I was grabbed by the new JC catalog for August (especially on Pg. 70!) and am curious to see if I can try on a Silkspun Sweater v-neck. I really love the model's look!
ReplyDeletecarol - I haven't tried the cavalry skirt, but thought about your dilemma. When you wear buy-it-tight jeans, they are definitely going to get a stretch because the material is going all the way down your leg. With a skirt, you may not get the pull on the garment that would make the skirt grow or expand during the day. I suppose you'll get some movement if you sit up & down a lot, but my guess is it would still be less than w/pants. $.02
ReplyDeleteHas anyone taken advantage of the 15% discount for students and teachers? Any bad/good experiences? I plan on using it this weekend..
ReplyDelete@Lauren, the Austin store had a good amount of the Jardin skirts in both pewter and purple this past week too.
ReplyDeletesweater girl: You should have no problems using your student discount provided you have a valid id with you. Just show it at check-out and they will give you the discount! HTH.

ReplyDelete@ajc, your review of the perfect shirt in leopard is so true..and "grandma chic" had my laughing! :) I want to love this shirt so much...but you are right...and I'm glad I read your review. Makes me feel like I'm not crazy for not loving it.
ReplyDeleteI have a perfect shirt on today that is the silk/cotton blend and it is so much better. The leopard print should have been this blend..not the 100% cotton (which I believe it is). I've tried so many ways to make this shirt chic and cute like the picture online..but haven't achieved it yet. I feel almost frumpy in it :(
I have, and will again. :)
ReplyDeleteSome reviews here.
@AppGal: Thanks! There are a few items: Commodore Coat, Foxtrot Jacket, Clipper sweater, and Fisherman's Henley sweater that I want to purchase.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has reviews on the items, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!!
Happy shopping :)
I got my rewards card Monday, but I waited to get anything until today because MS is having a tax free holiday this weekend. I got the Boy Shirt in Quincy Tartan (I can't resist a plaid shirt), the Minnies in Flame, and the Tippi in Leopard.
ReplyDeleteI also picked up the August catalog, since I can't seem to get one sent to my house. I loved opening it and seeing Crystal Renn on the front page. She went to high school near here. I pointed her out, and the sales associate said she recognized her from high school.
I agree with others about the leopard pencil skirt. I thought it would be like the cotton no. 2's from the summer, but this one is super thin and looks like it would get saggy after one wear and not retain its shape. Also, it really faded.
sub
ReplyDeletegoing out of my way to return leopard wool/silk/whatever scarf. The sides are not hemmed. They are machine-overcast (like you'd finish off the inside edge of a seam). Not the look I'm looking for. I thought this was going to go fast, as a way to get a little touch of animal print without looking like a Stacy & Clinton intervention is needed. I could have waited.
ReplyDeleteI bought the origami skirt in size 4 - actually better made than the leopard pencil skirt!!! I am wearing a 2009 pencil skirt that was a straw basket weave with fushia stripes and it is lined and much better made than the current pencil skirt- too bad the quality is going down the tubes!
ReplyDeleteI may go to my local store, if only to get a short-sleeved vintage tee for this hot weather.
ReplyDeleteI've seen comments by people on here who've gotten holes in theirs, but I have a crewneck one and haven't gotten holes in it so far. I've only washed it once, though. The v-neck one I bought last year, however, did get a hole in it after the first or second wash. The hole was just below the point in the V.
In the new arrivals for Fall, I like the Zip-cable sweater, but I don't really like the zip part! I'm fairly tired of classic pieces getting messed up with things like zippers that will be out of style before too long. I'd rather mix up a classic piece with different jewelry or something than have the piece de-classicized with something permanent like a zipper. I won't get as many years of use out of it with the zipper on it.
wellfedfred, is it the silk one or the wool one (which is actually 100% wool as per tag and not a blend as per website description?)
ReplyDeleteI quite liked the wool one, was thinking of getting it for a touch of leopard as you said (but yes, it has "unfinished" hems, which is quite usual for their scarf?)
Peony, I so agree on the zip-cable sweater. It is very nice, but why put a zipper on the shoulder for such a classic style?
Re. inventory management, it's getting ridicolous. I just checked and the new cafe capris in bright dhalia are backordered until November 1st (remember: unlined pants). I called the WWFFY number for the yatch blue color (it was waitlisted yesterday until August 22 and today they jumped until September 19th and they told me that there isn't ANY 0 in ANY store across the US. What, they didn't make or send any 0 to the stores (as a matter of fact the first day they came out they only had 00s and 2s at the Collection store)?
ReplyDeleteIf anyone looking for the jardin skirt? South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, CA) has all sizes in the purple and some sizes in grey as of this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteEma, I experienced a similar situation with a blouse last year. It was released in every size except 10. I called CS and they said it was all sold out in size 10. A couple of weeks later the size 10 was available online, I never checked again if the stores had received them. I think maybe there was an error and size 10's didn't ship with the first lot. Or something, who knows with the crazy inventory at J.Crew. I hope your capris turn up soon.
ReplyDeleteEma, it's style no. 46048, and the label says 46% silk, 45% wool and 9% cashmere. The fabric feels nice, actually, it's the serging instead of hemming that bothers me. In case auto-correct comes back, that is S E. R. G. I. N. G.
ReplyDeleteShoot, tried to sub this am and obviously it didn't work!
ReplyDeletewellfedfred: I bought the leopard scarf yesterday because I like the print and the feel of the fabric, but I looked again and it's NOT 100%wool, it is the blend you describe!
ReplyDeleteHow can they call something 100% wool, or say it has a lining, when the product is clearly something else? WTH!
Hi Lauren, you might want to call call the JC store in Las Vegas, Nevada at 702-263-8950. I returned the pewter Jardin in size 8 on Wed. night. They also said they were going to get them in yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHi Tippy, I finally got an email saying my order from OVER a week ago would be here today, instead I got another email saying "We wish we had enough....". It took them over a week to figure out they did not have my item? Way to go J. Crew!
ReplyDeleteAre the stored doing additional 30% off? Is there summer stock in stores (sale) or has it all been shipped? TIA! :>
ReplyDeleteJust came back from the Sat morning event at my store (Lake Grove NY).
ReplyDeletePeoples: They are having additional 50% off sale items (final), today (sat) only!
The sale racks were full. Too much to look at, but bought a stretch perfect shirt for $10 after discount.
Also burned my rewards card on the new leopard perfect shirt. It's 100% cotton but silkier and thinner than those 100% cotton boy shirts somehow.
On the racks the pattern looks overwhelming and I doubted it would work. But the PS insisted I tried it on - and it looks fab! Easily paired with black dress pants, khakis and white jeans. Personally I found the fit to be similar to the other perfect shirts I own.
50% off? Wow. i got the Dahlia colored wool pants in the mail yesterday. I agree w/the other poster who said they aren't scratchy. Yes, I think a lining would be better, but honestly, they're not scratchy at all on me and I'm pretty sensitive. Not that I'm excusing their cost-cutting move at all. I'm probably going to return them b/c I ordered them in the yacht blue and think that color will fit better in my wardrobe.
ReplyDelete@Carol, I also got the Cavalry Skirt in and having the same dilemma. I'm leaning toward returning it.
@Pansy -- wow! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else see extra % off at their B&M?
What is with that leopard scarf? How many different versions did they make?
ReplyDeleteI purchased mine in-store (B-vue, WA) with a 100% wool tag (I don't have item #). But on mine the sides are finished with a very narrow machine-rolled hem (not an overcast edge).
Compared to my other JC wool scarves, I'm not certain that this scarf is in fact 100% wool; it feels more like a wool-silk blend. And my other JC wool scarves have a fabric selvedge edge rather than a hemmed edge.
Sounds like there could be a few variations floating around.
I scored during a recent visit to the summer sale section in the Manhattan Beach retail store! Took home a perfect, silk wrap dress and a linen skirt suit for $87 TOTAL!!! Not one of the 3 pieces even came close to that price at normal retail.
ReplyDeleteSearching for the Medina leather and suede sandals in size 8 or 9 in the toffee color. I will gladly pay if you see them and purchase them for me! Mine became a very expensive puppy chew yesterday :-((.
ReplyDeleteredhed_01 at hotmail dot com
Jruby18, how do you like the Cavalry Skirt? Is it worth the price?
ReplyDeleteWFF and Hexicon, the scarf I am talking about is in stores now, is100% wool and has a SU 11 tag (style # 46167). Can't comment on the hem because I don't know what an overcast hem is ;-).
ReplyDeleteajc, I just tried the Calvary skirt and even if I didn't care for it when I saw it online, I loved it. It is very flattering (fits TTS to small) and will look great with boots in the fall. If it were, say, $79 or even $89 I would have bought it but $128 (or whatever it is the price) seems very steep for this kind of casual skirt. It has also a 70s feeling to it so some may not like that.
I will try to put up pics later.
Chicago Michigan avenue is doing 30% off sale still but the racks were minuscule.
ReplyDeleteNoticed they've brought back the exact same silk cargo dress from last year. I'm wearing last years and I could find no difference. Price was $128 in store - it may have been $118 last year but I'm not sure.

Thanks Ema, I will be checking your blog for the pictures. I love the 70's vibe on this skirt, it is something I do not have in my closet full of pencil skirts. I also like the fact that it is more casual and machine washable (is it?), but of course I do not like the price. I actually ordered it in my regular size and one size up as the waist measurements I got from CS seemed small. I will probably return and wait for sale but wanted to check the size.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen or tried the Clipper Cardigan or the Fisherman Henley? How about the much-awaited Hacking Jacket...can't wait to see the length and proportions on this.
Thanks!
Additional 60% off clearance at the Factory store today. Picked up a some shorts and a cute skirt. Hard to think about Fall when temps don't really drop below 80 until Nov/Dec (SW Florida).
ReplyDeleteLizPoms, I have and love the Hacking Jacket. I find it to be more fitted than the Schoolboy through the shoulders and waist, and it is a few inches longer (it hits me at mid-low hip and I am 5'9 but with a relatively short torso). The wool is also much less stiff than the wool on the schoolboys, so it molds to the body better (if that makes any sense) without all the wrinkling. I found it TTS, but I would say that if you are between sizes in blazers to go with your larger size. HTH!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI have the Hacking Jacket in Grass and I like it MUCH better than the new Schoolboys. The herringbone wool is nicer and drapier. It has a decent lining. It fits me TTS, but it is definitely longer in the body of the jacket and also the sleeves. For those accustomed to the schoolboy silhouette, the length is something that is quite different. The tailoring also seems to be a bit better, with pickstitching and the double pockets.
ReplyDeleteIt looks best on me buttoned and probably with the sleeves rolled (I'm 5'4"), though I have toyed with the idea of having the sleeves shortened a bit. I also imagine I will wear it with heels or especially boots for proportion, though it's hard to imaging fall outfits when it is 92 degrees here.
Personally I won't be buying the new Schoolboy, but I may pick up another Hacking in the Flame color.
@Ajc, I think Ema gave a perfect description of the skirt. it's a nice substantial weight and I also thought very flattering. It is a bit snug through the waist and I was wondering, like Carol, if it's going to stretch at all. I think at this point, I'm returning it b/c I'm worried about the snug fit, and b/c I'm hoping to maybe catch it on a markdown. Or I have a feeling it will be showing up elsewhere at different stores and maybe a lot cheaper. I really would love to find this style skirt in a denim. They had it at GAP last year and I waited too long to get it and it was gone in my size. Finally, I do agree that it is a skirt that can be worn more casually than the pencils.
ReplyDeleteThe B&M at liberty place at philly is still doing additional 30% off sale...though there is not much of a selection left.
ReplyDeleteI did see 2 stacks of the shrunken fisherman sweater in white and black and I think all sizes, for $59.99 plus the 30% off.
For those interested, pics of the Calvary skirt and other new arrivals in this post. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteVery interesting about the leopard scarves. Online I see the silk-leopard print scarf (50277, $65), described as silk chiffon. And a second one, the leopard print scarf (46048, $59.50) described as silk, wool and cashmere yarns. I have an irl pic here of the 2nd one, which I returned. It was snagalicious when I pulled it out of the bag. I ended up with one from F21.
ReplyDeleteWent to the JCA event down South here...
ReplyDeleteWool Cafe capris - BIG no for me so sad because I actually preordered some of the beautiful colors that will have to be returned. The fit was just so off... Wool wasn't itchy to me though and I am pretty sensitive.
So upset :(
Tried on a very nice merino crew neck sweater with 3/4 length sleeves. Fits TTS and comes in a nice selection of colors. Waiting for a sale!
ReplyDeleteMillijcrew, I agree about the fit being off on the wool cafe capri pants. The 8's fit too large, like in the catalog where the girl is wearing the yacht blue but the 6was too tight (at least for my comfort level). The waists are always way too big in comparison to the rest of the pant.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. on the Hacking jackets. I may have to try that instead of the Schoolboy.
I went J Crew crazy this week. I bought several things in the vibrant flame color -- two t-shirts (including one with navy stripes) and the minnies. Shorts in white, tan, and olive. And the tortoise shell bracelet with the rhinestone accent.
ReplyDeleteI also bought the leopard sweater that was panned on JCA. I didn't think it was worse than Kohl's. I find that it goes well with a pair of white linen pants.
Has anyone bought the vibrant flame minnies? And if so, how are you styling them?
Crossing my fingers SO hard for an extra % off FP items this week. I have a cartful of items just waiting to be bought, but I don't think I'll take the plunge w/out a promo!
ReplyDelete@Appgal: Same here. I have items waiting in my cart but I just won't do it without extra % off considering I won't be able to wear them until close to September or October.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of doing a shop & share event with local JCAs...
Sydneygirl: Thank you so much for noticing the banner! :)
ReplyDelete
