J.Crew Email: TGIF: UP TO 50% OFF + NEW STYLES ADDED TO CLEARANCE

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the following news from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew Factory (click here to shop online) is open for the weekend. But wait there's more! There are new Factory arrivals and some factory items are priced an additional 50% off.

As JCAs know... if you live near a Factory Store, check them out first. The B&M Factory Stores tend to have better promotions and sale prices.

What are your thoughts on J.Crew's Factory offerings? Will you check them out?

    My heart almost skipped a beat when I saw this, then I saw the "factory" word and came back down to reality. Darn, wish there was a % of regular JCrew.

    They also notify you when certain things go on sale for many stores, like J. Crew!

    I bought a canvas tote. I love the canvas bags that JCrew used to put out. Some in gorgeous prints like the Butterfly one! The one I got is nice quality and came on Wed. in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised to see it had a full zipper across the top. The other ones I have from 2005-8 have either no closure (but I added one myself) or a snap. I had a free ship code so was nice to use it. I would not buy factory clothing though online. Only at an outlet. Too risky for me.

    There are 1,485 items in Sale this morning after another update, I haven't seen those numbers in years. And the B & M sale sections are bursting too. Inventory seems really high with new arrivals coming July 26 ... it seems they would have to have an additional % online, or free shipping, again soon to clear out the summer merch.

    Love the sale! Unfortunately, though, I have not received a promo from J. Crew in two weeks! This has happened a handful of times. Do any others experience somehow being dropped from their mailing list randomly? Don't even let me begin with dropped items from my Cart online when checking out...

    ruffles - I've seen a lot of really old stuff pop up. Lots of single items. They have inventory issues.

    Off topic, I wonder what happened to the marled camel color of the Jenna's cardigan. I bought it at full price, there was no color swatch or image of it but there was another marled camel cardi so I could see the color. Mine arrived and it's great, Now I see it's no longer available. It had a different tag on it, not the usual white tag but a long slender one with "J.Crew" in white letters and olive background on one side and the product info on the other. Is this the new tag for fall?

    The Eden and Tippi are available in marled camel. They are available in some other fun colors, I hope that the Jenna's cardigan will be offered in some of those other colors. Wow, we're less than a month into summer and I'm thinking about fall like it's right around the corner. :)

    I also got this new tag on one of my swim suits that I bought during the recent sale. I like the new tags. They are more simple and elegant (as if a tag could be elegant) :)
