  1. Just wanted to share that The Grove location in Los Angeles is currently offering additional 30% off sales! It's final sale though, no returns or exchanges. I scored a lovely periwinkle colored Jackie cardigan for $30!

  2. I love all the colors in the fall collection. Just looked at the new arrivals and it was invigorating to me. Color is my style "thing" and I'm so happy to see beautiful colors.

OK, I sound like a J Crew dork;)

  3. On holiday here but managed to remember that JC has new arrivals coming online today! Maybe it's cos of the crappy weather here...Loving all the new shirt options, lovely colours of cashmere and twinsets, and more "classic" pieces. The ladies who do pencil skirts will be happy with all the colour and fabric choices. The trouser lovers like myself aren't left out either. And is it just me or has anyone seen the "Social Responsibility" link at the bottom of JC's page? You're taken to a page that kinda looks like a newspaper article, where JC addresses numerous concerns, including mulesing of sheep when sourcing Merino wool. Finally! Way to get with the times!

  6. follow up to my vent yesterday-contacted CS about the issue with the tee and they promptly refunded my purchase price and offered to have it tailored to remove the flaw if possible. Pleasantly surprised.

  7. ClosetCrisis, it's interesting that J.Crew has added a blurb about mulesing. They have always had a social responsibility info page and I wrote to their SR email address twice to ask them about their position on mulesing when it was a hot topic on the JCA blog. I never received a reply at all. Good that they at least looked into it and are reporting back.

  9. I have some cumulative J. Crew shipping/ customer service love. In the past few years, I have never had an item NOT ship and usually receive my items the next business day ( two days has been the max).

  10. Just wanted to comment on J.Crew's excellent customer service. Like the other Canada J.Crew shoppers, I haven't been very happy with the lack of Canada Post as a shipping option despite the postal strike having ended a month ago (USPS charges too much duty!). So during the LOVEIT promotion, I took the opportunity to place a small order under $20 (since it's supposed to be tax/duty free). I was unhappy to find that I was still charged the exorbitant 30% tax! I called up J.Crew to ask about it, and while it took a while to sort out, J.Crew did gratiously refund the tax (they were honest enough to admit they didn't know about the <$20 duty-free rule before I informed them of it), and even asked for the web address for the Canada Border Services Agency for future reference and have the change implemented for all future Canadian orders. Bravo, J.Crew!
