Today is the last day of J.Crew's current offer for 30% off all final sale items (no min) and free shipping on $150+ with promo code MUSTSHOP. To shop Final Sale online, click here.
I am surprised that I didn't take advantage of this offer. But frankly, the stores were offering much better (as in lower) prices. So it just made sense for me to favor their B&M counterpart. But still, very happy to see this promotion was available for online shopping as well.
Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?
whoa! free shipping on all shoes, too?
ReplyDeletelunarary, I noticed that this morning too. Even the sale shoes have free shipping.
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for a popback but it has not appeared yet. I haven't seen much for inventory updates since Monday so I'm not hopeful.
Did anyone tried or bought the Camille Wedges http://www.jcrew.com/womens_special_sizes/size512shoes/size5/PRDOVR~42638/99102334951/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~20+17+4294966925+86~90~~~~~~~/42638.jsp? How is the fit? What about that stripe on the toe, is it comfortable? I usually wear 9 in all the shoe retailers, but in heels made by J crew I am 9.5 should I go with 9 or 10?
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteWell I just placed an order. I had to re-order the Jersey Lomellina® mini-ruffle underwire bandeau top and bikini to get the 30% off from my previous order. Nice that it isn't final sale. Also picked up the Cashmere Isabel sweatshirt (35770) in HTHR CYPRESS...such a beautiful color...also not final sale. The only final sale item I did get was the Featherweight cashmere multistripe sweater (42279). I haven't had any sizing issues with their cashmere...so I believe that one is a safe bet. Now I have to make sure my bf is out of the house as a receive a million boxes from J Crew. Pretty sure he already thinks I have a problem.

ReplyDelete@Christina - I have the Camille wedges. I usually wear 7.5 in J. Crew but for these you will need to size up to the next whole size up, i.e. you would need a 10. The size 8's fit fine on me. They are really good sandals - there's a good amount of padding in the foot bed and the straps are very comfortable. I did notice that the ankle strap is fairly short and there is not a lot of leeway (only 3 holes) in the strap sizing, so that may be problematic for someone with wider ankles.
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about ordering the Isabel cashmere sweater. Hearing it runs large, I'm thinking about ordering a size down. Does this sound right? Also, has anyone tried the boyfriend cashmere sweater? It looks so cute for Summer, but I know about sizing.
TIA!
Actually the store was more expensive on the item I wanted but the color was an instore only color in pink and online is purple and black. Plus, I won't buy final sale online so was glad to get item in store and see it in person and try it on; would rather pay a bit more.
ReplyDeleteSizing is too inconsistent to buy online plus defects are just a pain to deal with, etc.
Case in point I bought two skirts; same size and color and there was a difference in the length of the waist.
Lizzy T: Yes, definitely size down on the Isabel cashmere sweatshirt! It is still a bit slouchy (meant to be) a size down. I love mine!!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry to post OT, I wanted to mention an ebay auction for the St. Baarth bag in the Ischia(sp?) print that I know many here love. Looks to be in pristine condition and the seller has 100% positive feedback.
ReplyDeleteNot my auction or anyone I know, just passing it on.

ReplyDeleteI will have to check it out. I never saw the things I want in the B&M store.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I wonder if they will extend the sale one more day, as we have gotten used to.

ReplyDeleteThey had an eyelet pencil skirt in my size in shadow this morning, so I snagged it (along with a couple of t-shirts and the Bahia hobo in honey brown).
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it actually ships!
The hobo seemed like a fun summer bag (with the discount it was only $20), I know it is rather flimsy and not sturdy, but good for weekend shopping and such, I hope.
Christina: I have tried the wedges. Photos here.
ReplyDeleteI have a wide foot and these were quite wide. As far as length, I think you may need to go half a size up. As you can see from my pics, my size 8 foot covers the wedge completely. HTH
I probably should have put this in the review thread, but if anyone is thinking off taking a chance on some FS items, a word of warning on two:
ReplyDeleteThe Elise shift dress has no shape and seems shorter than appears. Luckily I got it before FS so could return it. Also, the casbah dress poufed out seriously under the bust for me, looking like maternity wear. I know some JCAs have had some luck with it but just fyi for those with larger chests.
The in store promotion was 40% off sale earlier today.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone ever tried the lightweight camp popover? I love the idea of an easy shirt like that to pop over some skinny pants but it could be a disaster in real life. TIA!
ReplyDeleteI was just in the las Vegas store and they are still 30%off.
ReplyDelete: ( Were they just slow on switching the signs since I was there early in the morn? Can anyone else confirm the 40% off or is that maybe a store specific thing? TIA
I did just return the silk Blythe blouse in olive and apricot in size 2 along with a Doria dress XS for those in the area to snag.
@ MegCrew
ReplyDeleteCan I ask you what the apricot color of the Silk Blythe Blouse looked like? Was it bright or muted and pastel-y? Thanks for your help!
Rose- my prediction (as if I really can) is that it is extended and new items are added with some price drops. Either that or they wait for the stores to send everything back and then a massive sale. There is just so much stuff right now (very little I'm interested in) that they should be interesting to watch.
ReplyDeleteJust got back, my B&M also 40% off sale.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get a thing, oddly. Took an armful in the dressing room but I am kind of shopped out on the current offerings. Maybe some shoes ...
OperaRach-
ReplyDeleteI have pictures I need to post on my blog of the shirt but to answer your questions right away.
I like the fit of the shirt and I really like the shirt in olive. I loved the shirt online and really the color online resembles the color well. It isn't a bright color, it isn't really a pastel and there really isn't anything Jcrew that I can compare the color to (there aren't any other items I know of that are the same color) It doesn't really have a pink base to it, it is certainly more apricot with a orange base.
The down fall for me is that it is a bit sheer and it bothers me that where the fabric is doubled at the shirt pockets, color, end of sleeve and where it buttons it isn't sheer so the color is brighter. I am not sure that makes sense and it may just be a personal thing.
The major reason that I didn't keep the shirt is that I just could get the color to look right with my skin which in general that isn't an issue.
I hope this information helps. I know there have been reviews with pictures recently so you may want to search the last review post.
I couldn't find anything I even wanted to try on...even with 40% off. I did find the tassel treasure necklace, which I had wanted, for $19.99-40% ($39.99 online), which was nice, but nothing else for me. I'm finished until fall.
ReplyDeleteOT again, I apologize. I know that many people have been looking or the paisley pencil skirt and there is one ending soon on ebay in size 6, NWT. It has a few bids but only $61 at this point.
ReplyDeleteNot my auction or anyone I know, just having an ebay day and want to pass it on. HTH someone.
Hi OperaRach -
ReplyDeleteI have IRL photos of the silk blythe blouse in fresh apricot here and the dark navy here.
The color of the apricot is a little bit muted in my photo because I was by a large window. I personally love it.
Here is a good IRL photo from commonwealth girl. HTH!
Help! Did the matchstick jeans get smaller? I have several pairs in my closet from past season, and ordered my normal 26, but the cropped white in 26 is so tight! Did they shrink the sizes, or is it just the whites?
ReplyDeletePS they are cute if you can find them in your size :>
@pathos, I'm glad to see it's not me. Ordered white matchstick crops in my size and they were SO tight. They're going back. And I agree, they are cute. :-(
ReplyDeleteJruby-sad face :( The size 27 is sold out. I just ordered the 27 in the white regular length matchstick to see how they fit. maybe it is just the whites you need to size up in? If they work, I might even crop them as I really want the cropped version! Will report back if it works.
ReplyDeleteAnother review from my Monday order that I just got today-the 9" chino shorts I got were the exact same length as the 7"---in white at least. What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteThere were cropped white matchsticks in quite a few sizes at the Vegas store if your up for calling around.
ReplyDeletePathos: I have two pair of the 9" shorts on their way and if they are 7" I'm not going to be happy. Their long shorts are so confusing.
The linen bermudas are 7" long but read 9" online. The summerweight shorts read 9" and they are. If the 9" shorts are 7" (in a size 4 of which they should be on point) then I'm mailing them a measuring tape!
Aaaargh! I waited just a little too long to order the merkato platform heels! If anyone has them in a 6.5 or a 7 in the sand dune color and doesn't want them please let me know. I'd be happy to take them off your hands. You can e-mail me at amelia_hardy@hotmail.com. Thanks! (Sorry to post slightly off topic.)
ReplyDeletesub!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen the Silk Blythe shirt in the dark slate color?
ReplyDeleteIt looks a bit greenish on my monitor. I'm worried it might be too drab, but it would be the best sale color left in my size for my skin tone. Just wondering how it looks IRL. Thanks.
MegCrew-thanks, I might do a charge send tomorrow :> I ordered the Summerweight chino shorts too, in khaki, and might order them in white if I like them that much. I did like the (apparently) 7" white chino shorts in the heavier weight, I sized up so they were slouchy. At 7 there were just more casual; I liked the styling of Bermuda length with wedges and a vneck.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone confirm the Emeryville or Walnut Creek, Ca is having a 40% as well?
ReplyDeleteMegCrew: did the Vegas store have the 40% sale? I am flying in to Vegas tomorrow and figured if they are having the sale, that I would stop by.
ReplyDeleteTIA! =)
Pathos- I agree I too like the longer length and always size up in shorts...
ReplyDeleteWe will see how these other colors work out in the 9". I have a feeling they will be shorter than I like.
I did pick up a pair of the summerweight shorts in modern red for $29.99 without the % off discount and I really do love the color and cut.
The Jcrew factory also have the heavier weight shorts that are actually a good quality. The colors online are boring but there are a lot more instores.
This one is to be continued....
Jamie- bring sunscreen it is HOT! (but I'm sure you'll have great time) I called them after my visit earlier today to see if they changed it to 40% off from the 30% off but they hadn't. I think they are still worth visiting, the store is full with sale items and town square is my favorite outdoors mall.
ReplyDeleteYou never know they may still change it, sometimes we are a couple days behind on the west coast.
Have a great and safe trip!
Has anyone tried the Silk Casbah blouse (42303)? It just went on sale this morning (of course final sale) and I have been eying it for a while. Does anyone think it is worth the sale price of $80, or should I wait for another promo? Thanks in advance :)
ReplyDeleteStene: That blouse had mixed reviews. I returned mine, as it fit oddly around the arms/shoulders and was very uncomfortable (feeling as it might rip) yet large around the body. There were a few reviews that agreed with my feelings; as well as a few people who loved it.
ReplyDeleteFinal sale by mail when you have never seen the item or tried it on is just so unfair!
@ Maryeb
ReplyDeleteThe dark slate color of the silk blouses is gorgeous IMO. I have the Sophie in that color - it definitely has a greenish hue to it. If I was a Rich Girl has some nice pictures of the shirt- I think the first one best represents the color. It is definitely not as green as the pics that have more light in them.
@ Stene
I tried the Silk Casbah top in a different promo and it was terrible. The neckline was unflattering and it was tight across the shoulders but loose in the middle and tight on the hips. Total bummer. I believe shopwithm has some good pictures of it.
@ Iroar
Thanks for the help with the Fresh Apricot color of the blythe blouse!
Forever Cardigan in Cotton - have people bought their usual size or sized down on this one? I tried on a S in store and it was HUGE but not sure if it was huge enough to go 2 sizes down. TIA!
ReplyDeleteMegCrew - Thanks so much! The sunscreen is packed and I am good to go! My flight is tonight, looking forward to my trip and shopping (at J. Crew) ! =)
ReplyDeleteHere is a review on the silk blythe blouse in Fresh Apricot and Olive Moss. Here
ReplyDeleteThe olive was changed to $29.99 today.
@ Suzy and OperaRach - Thank you for those reviews...I am pretty sure I am steering clear of the top now. I absolutely love love the Casbah print, but maybe I will opt for a swim suit instead of the top. Thank you ladies :)
ReplyDelete@Louise
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for sharing this very important details.
@ MegCrew
ReplyDeleteThanks for the IRL pictures of the Silk Blythe blouse. I see what you are saying about the pockets. I think I might wait for the navy to pop back in my size...
