OMG you guys. I *just* saw the fall catalog -- my PS gave me a sneak peek, but I couldn't take it home. Um, LOVE. We were all sitting there squealing in happiness. My favorites:"Thanks!" also to Amy (in this post), as well as Fabulous Florida Mommy (in this post) who let us know that the next rollout from J.Crew, the Fall new arrivals, will be online Thursday, July 21, 2011.
-- Viridian green double-serge wool pencil skirt (also camel and purple)
-- Tweed pencil skirt with browns I think and blue scattered in it
-- Flame orange schoolboy blazer
-- Gorgeous green and blue wool blazers
-- leopard pumps and pretty lower-heeled leather pumps
Um, yeah, I'm in trouble.
Oops, forgot, there also was a double serge skirt in the flame color!
Sounds amazing!!! Can't wait to see the catalog and clothes now. And at least the wait to see & buy won't be too long. :)
Are you excited about the upcoming rollout? Are there any items you are hoping to get? Please share! :)
Love the thought of more double-serge pencil skirts, I'm so hooked on them. I hope the tailoring and fabric is decent this season. If so, these will be first on my list. Maybe a tweed one as well. Who am I kidding, I can't resist J.Crew pencil skirts.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the sneak peek.
My personal shopper shared with me that the wool double serge pencil skirt will be offered in black, heather acorn, viridian green, heather carbon, jazzy purple, vibrant flame, and spicy gold. He also says it'll retail for around $120.
ReplyDeleteYou northern gals are going to LOVE the items.... Wool blazers in gorgeous colors ($189.00) - Flame, camel were my favorites. Cashmere sweater colors were vibrant. Wool capri's in great colors. Lots to lust in the catalog! Oxford heels are on my list!
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooo excited! Green double serge! And heather acorn! I don't need them... but that's not going to stop me! I love J.Crew's vibrant fall colors of old. Glad they are bringing them back!
ReplyDeleteand not a moment too soon!
ReplyDeleteWith half of the country going thru a heat wave, it's hard to believe that fall is 3 months away!
ReplyDeleteThose colors sound heavenly! Pencil skirts and blazers! I cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteIt's incredibly hot here with no break in sight and yet here I am thinking of fall clothing. As much as I love summer I love fall more.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what Frank has in store.
I'm excited about the new arrivals ... my birthday is Friday & I've already rec'd one giftcard ... ready to buy even though we are in the triple digits!!!
ReplyDeleteI got a peek too and let me tell you, it is TDF gorgeous! Cannot wait!!!! The hacking jacket comes in a a beautiful blue! And so much else!
ReplyDeleteHooray! I am excited to see what Fall will bring. :) *waits impatiently*
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see the fall goodies! The fall catalogs are always great and feature amazing styling.
ReplyDeleteMy local store manager was kind enough to give me a catalog (my plaintive whimpering was frightening the other shoppers) and I can assure you all, it lives up to the hype. The most beautiful colors I've seen in a long time (and a welcome absence of beige/gray/khaki/etc.) Can't wait for the new items to go live!
ReplyDeleteI have some loafers on preorder. It will be my first pair of JC shoes if I like them. Really excited for all the pants! I pre-ordered a couple pairs and have my SA on guard to hold the others as they arrive. I like so many of them--great variety in cuts, colors and fabrics. Hope the hacking jacket is as long as it appears on net-a-porter. There are some nice neutrals for those of us that can't do brights so I think they have all their bases covered this year.
ReplyDeleteThe Hacking Jacket is lovely IRL (I ordered the charcoal version from Net-A-Porter). It is quite a bit longer than the Schoolboy style, not quite as long as the Summer Jacket in Crisp Linen. It hit me at mid-low hip and I am 5'9 (but I don't have an especially long torso). I love the fabric and the leather buttons are fantastic. HTH - let me know if you have any other questions!
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to the fall rollout...can't wait to see the new Hacking Jackets, Leopard Pencil skirt and Marlow Hobo in Calf Hair.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for tomorrow morning! I will be up before 5 and as usual will look forward to the comments here just as much as viewing the goodies!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE that look on the right; as much as I like the Minnie pants, the deep purple wide leg trousers are gorgeous and perfect for my office..sigh...
ReplyDeleteA blue hacking jacket?! So excited! What color blue, I wonder...peacock? Cobalt?
ReplyDeleteSo we think things go online tomorrow...anyone know if the catalogs will be out at the store that day? I thought that my local SA said things wouldn't be in-store until the 26th, but maybe I am wrong...
Opheliasmom - can you please scan it?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get the last catalog, I definitely want the catalog with the fall clothes! I guess I'll sign up again (3rd time). Thanks for the heads up, I might get up super early tomorrow just to watch for the updates! Or maybe it will happen later tonight. Hot here too, today and tomorrow will be Chiago's worst days, probably 99 plus humidity. I'm being a total hermit.
ReplyDeleteThe day of the fall rollout is supposed to be the hottest day of the summer here. Even thinking about wool makes me hot. That said, the hacking jacket and pencil skirts sound lovely. Maybe they'll be on deep discount by the time it's cool enough to wear them here.
ReplyDelete@StaciStaci -
ReplyDeleteI wish I could, but I don't have a scanner :(
You lucky JCAs who have seen the catalogue are getting me all excited! I'm even more excited for JC's Fall rollout this year because there'll be a Toronto store for me to shop in, LIVE IN PERSON! Wheeee!
ReplyDeleteI still love the third outfit in the photo that went along with this post -- the cropped sweater and wide-leg trousers.
I always love me anything argyle, tweed and leopard. This fall sounds like they're returning to the JC we all fell in love with.
I really liked some of the coats I saw in the look book at the store. I'm also hearing Cafe Capris in wool although I'm hoping for no pockets like the traditional ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about the lower-heeled leather pumps!
ReplyDeleteHow low can you go, J.Crew?
2 inches would be lovely:)
Excited to see the fall arrivals tomorrow!!! Love the colors listed!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll be purchasing though. . .I wouldn't be able to wear any wool items till November living in AZ, and surely they will go on sale before then. Maybe the next % off promo code will tempt me? :)
CCS,
ReplyDeleteSame with me. Won't be wearing winter stuff until November so while it will be FUN to LOOK--that is all I will be doing:) I am excited to know that color is back!!!! I have so many fall jackets and coats and blazers from J.Crew's past seasons I don't need anything this year but look forward to getting a good deal if a sale comes up around Christmas:)
I am ALWAYS excited about the new Fall or Winter roll out! Gives me warm fuzzys!
ReplyDeleteI love Fall items....I live in a climate that is almost NEVER fallish.. (not a word I know).
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't stop me from drooling and sweating in my wool blazers just to sport my favorites.
I saw a picture of a bright red / orange school boy blazer with GOLD buttons and I swear, I am signing up for an intervention before the roll out tomorrow just to be proactive.
I have the catalog (no scanner) and let me tell you, I am in trouble!! Wool cafe capris in gorgeous colors! New hacking jacket, great color school boy blazers, Valencia heels (2 3/4) in a leopard patent!! I can't wait even though it is pushing 100 degrees here!
ReplyDeleteThe catalog is AMAZING! I am loving the Leopard No. 2 pencil skirt and camel Wool Cafe Capris. And of course, the shoes! Oh, and a red Schoolboy Blazer.
ReplyDeleteaudreybella, I liked the leopard no. 2 until I saw the length was 25inches and in petite its 23--way too long for me, I am 5'2"...great for you tall ladies though!
ReplyDeleteYes I'm still up. Website just updated the new arrivals :)
ReplyDeleteOf course I'm in love with the Winter Garden Long dress and it's soo out of my budget *sigh* Really can't even begin to figure out how I'll con my way into being able to purchase this under the hubby's watchful eye...:)
