This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
30% off final sale, code MUSTHAVE. Wish I could use it; what I want isn't on sale. Hope others can find some joy!
ReplyDeleteThe $175 minimum for free shipping is really killing my order.
ReplyDeleteita w/iroar...jeez...free ship on $100 or more would be attractive

ReplyDeleteI just did a mock checkout on an item that was less than $175 after the 30% was applied and shipping was free.
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)

ReplyDeleteI got some Crewcuts, which offers free shipping, but my part of the purchase was under $100, and the entire order was free shipping. Usually I still have to pay for shipping for my non-Crewcuts stuff. So I am confused.
ReplyDeleteSale section at the J. Crew at Beachwood Place (Beachwood/Cleveland Area, OH) is amazing. I was visiting this weekend and it is by far the largest I've ever seen. That combined with 30% off and my 15% "student" discount made for some very successful shopping!
ReplyDeleteI went to the Kenwood Town Center store in Cincinnati while on a family weekend getaway. Excited to see the clearance was an extra % off but absolutely nothing in the smaller sizes. Walked out empty handed because of that & a grumpy 11 year old wanting me to hurry up. If you are size L or XL go there & you will score some great buys.
ReplyDeletelooking for a Clipper Cardigan, in small, brown color.......thanks, for any help!!
ReplyDeleteOh! I don't know how wide-spread this is, but both in Cleveland and in Lansing, MI they have allowed me to use my student discount on top of the 30% off sale (combining promotions)!
ReplyDeleteI was in the Syracuse store yesterday. Found the silk boy shirt in navy and white stripes for a good price.
ReplyDeleteThey had quite a few Cafe Capri in houndstooth - it looked beautiful but I'm not ready to buy it now. They also had the Wool Flair skirts in heather acorn -- I tried it on but didn't like it too much. Like some reviews have pointed out, I found the pleats a bit odd and unnecessary. I also would have like the skirt to be longer. In the BR store they had their version of the A-line button-front skirt in camel and grey which I thought looked nicer.
Izab, it's now the policy at all stores to combine the student/teacher discount with all other discounts. The manager at the b&m in Columbus, Ohio told me earlier this summer when they changed the policy.
ReplyDeleteGrand Rapids store had quite a large sale section on Saturday and the nice SA even honored online prices on some items that were still full price in the store in addition to the 30% discount. To make my weekend even better, my dh had to go to Detroit for business yesterday and was kind enough to look at the Crewlet for the Factory Prince of Wales Schoolboy and picked up the last one in my size for about $80! He is such a great guy! :)
ReplyDeleteOT: I think I must have been out of the buying mode for awhile, but online now allows Paypal? Interesting..
ReplyDeleteOrdered the damask origami mini (2 sizes up - as I found that to be consistent with what other posters have said when I tried it on in-store). I'm glad I didn't pay the original $108, but I'm a little bummed about the shipping as well.
Is the navy and white striped crepe de chine on sale in store?
ReplyDeletere- the crepe de chine shirt, I saw the henna on sale for $69.99 plsu 30% off... speaking of that shirt, has anyone devised a cute way to style it for work? thx!
ReplyDeleteCan anybody help me with a question about the fair isle sweater that's currently on sale? I love the look but have problems with wool or scratchy yarns. How does it feel? Is is likely to irritate sensitive skin?
ReplyDeletethanks so much.
I wore my crepe de chine boy shirt(navy/white stripe) with grey lexington jacket from 2007, looked super cute together! I bought two colors of this shirt, they look great under any blazers
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen the striped crepe de chine boy shirt in the navy or the henna in a size 0? If so, where? (unfortunately, my b&ms didn't carry it).
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I scored the Eddie oxfords in masala chai for $84 down from $250 (current online price). Luckily they run large so I got them in a 7 down from my usual 7.5. If anyone is interested, the Pasadena, CA store still had them in 8.5 - 10 yesterday so it's worth a try to call them. They are marked at $130, so I was able to stack the 30% off plus the educator discount.
ReplyDeleteI got the Blythe in poppy and the gingham perfect shirt in the navy. I didn't really mind paying shipping, because I know there's no way I could find these in my store.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to mention that the broken-in boyfriend shorts are down to $10 with the discount today. These are my favorites! They fit TTS, and they're cute both rolled up and down. Just wanted to mention, in case you needed a little something extra to get you to free shipping.
ReplyDeleteGot a basic long-sleeve tee in a beautiful pale-peachy pink color for $9 today--$15, plus 30% off, plus 15% off student discount.

ReplyDeletegot silk striped boy shirt in henna, sale price + 30%, love the shirt. I think it'll go with almost everything! Unfortunately the red/blue striped sweater that Marissa was wearing recently wasn't marked down. Fortunately I didn't like it so much IRL, too gimmicky.
ReplyDeleteSome interesting new stores are opening soon- competition?. Planning to visit and report back.
Good news to report:
ReplyDeleteBought a tee on sale this past weekend - the store happily credited me with the extra 30% discount today.
OT, but would anyone know if this is an authentic Chandelier Bracelet?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/J-Crew-Fireball-Bracelet-/110756347831?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c997bfb7
I know sometimes there are retail-only colors, but I'm not sure at all if the bracelet was offered in other colors. Thanks!
I ran out to my store at 8 pm tonight while hubby put the kids to bed; great stuff to be found! My store had the herringbone shirtdress ($148 full price online) marked to $89 pre-30% off, but alas, it was as short on me as it is on the model on the website :( I did score the cowl neck poncho, which I have an inexplicable love for, as well as a Lucinda in Poppy and a Blythe in an orange shade (both great deals). Came home to find out the Lucinda rang up wrong--will see if they will fix it over the phone tomorrow. Now wondering if stores are extending the 30% off like online is.... Oh, and a random find--my store had a size 10 paisley pencil skirt--super cute, but I don't have much occassion to wear pencil skirts...
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy for any guidance on the following issue. I purchased a suit in a local retail store this past weekend. The suit was not on sale in the store but is currently 20% plus an additional 30% off online. The suit has been sent to the tailor to be altered, so I can't return it. Is there any chance they would give me a credit at the store?
