This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

ReplyDeleteSome pics of new arrivals here! more to come.
ReplyDeleteNo....would like to make a few purchases but it is time for a decent coupon code!!! Interested in the perennial coat but can't decide between henna or camel....
ReplyDeleteAre coats in stores yet?
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried on the Winterlude Jacket (#48177)?
No - the Labor Day weekend deals were too good at other stores for me to stop by JC. Agree that the marketing here is weird
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend! I went to the Grand Rapids, MI store on Saturday. I was disappointed that they didn't have the Indigo Floral Perfect shirt that just went on sale since I wanted to see it IRL before I buy. When I asked about it the SA told me it was an online only item...is that true? They did have a small sale section, but the prices were the same or more than the online prices- in the case of the Surplus Pant it was twice as much as online! I did see a new scarf that I don't think is online yet...it is 100% wool, cream with a black toile pattern and it quite pretty and nice quality. I tried the Hacking Jacket but the longer length of it didn't work for me since I am kind of short...guess I'll stick to the Schoolboy blazers. Speaking of which, I did love the Schoolboy in Houndstooth. After lots of trying on I only ended up purchasing the paisley scarf (same print as the pencil skirt) since their scarves were all $10 off. I'm wearing it today since it is chilly and it is so soft and cozy!
ReplyDeleteAppGal, love that Polka dot shirt on you. Haven't seen it in my store yet, but I need to find it :) Love the new color of the pencil skirt.
ReplyDeleteStopped in and out of one of my stores yesterday, but didn't stay but a minute due to lack of sale. Maybe there will be one today? I can hope :)
Beyond the Blue, my b&m received the indigo floral perfect shirt when it first came out. Maybe your b&m never got it. I know mine doesn't carry everything that others do (for example, my JC never got this year's paisley skirt, just the scarf).
ReplyDeleteTXgirl14: Thanks! I fell in love with the polka dot top...but then again, I am polka dot obsessed right now so it was not that hard for me :)
ReplyDeleteThe new color of the No. 2 pencil skirt is so lovely. If I didn't already have the nightfall blue, which is different but too similar to justify owning both, I would have bought it right away yesterday!
I didn't get to go but will make a trip this week to return online items.

ReplyDeleteWent there to pick up a vintage cotton tee, left with one in a dusty pink color and the Chambray Tuxedo Tunic that was 39.99 on sale.
ReplyDeleteBeyond the blue: I have the impression that when a SA does not know about an item they usually say that the item in question is a catalog/online only.. It bothers me sometimes that they lie so easily, it would be better to say "I don't know but let me find out" instead...
ReplyDeletePart 2 of my fitting room reviews here.
ReplyDeletePathos,
ReplyDeleteI did end up stopping by one of my local stores today to make a return and there were no coats in stock yet. I am bummed anyway because the Perennial Coat, which I am interested in, is apparently an online only item anyway. I hate not being able to try coats on. Oh well! What can you do ;)
Math Teacher & Momof2- thanks for your comments! I was almost sure I had read that other JCAs had seen it in their B&Ms. I sort of got the impression that it was the SA's standard answer for customers looking for an item with which she was unfamiliar. I agree, I'd much rather have the SA admit that they don't know and look into it!
