Offer does not apply to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards. 30% off discount applies to J.Crew sale and Factory online sale items only. Offer valid through Friday, September 9, 2011, 11:59pm ET. Savings are applied at checkout with code LOVEIT. Offer not valid on phone orders. Limit one promotional code per order. Details of offer are subject to change.I will definitely be checking out their Final Sale (click here to shop online). It is too bad that this offer does not apply to J.Crew's brick & mortar stores.
And there is free shipping (automatically applied) on orders of $175. Otherwise, the flat rate shipping will be applied to your order.
Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?
P.S. Thanks everyone for all the well wishes and understanding on my mini-JCA break thanks to storm Irene last week. Thankfully my power is restored and the street is cleared. Although I am still in the process of catching up with all the errands (like grocery shopping- how I missed my orange juice in the morning!) I will hopefully be caught up with the JCA blog soon. :)
Tried to place order online, code wasn't applied. Contacted online CS through chat, no help! Was told to call instead... Called to place order got automated message saying system was down! :(
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)

ReplyDeleteA sale the day after Labor Day wknd doesn't make sense!! Didn't they do this last year too?
ReplyDeleteI received the wrong size last week from the sale section the package was marked right so no more Final Sale for me.
ReplyDeleteNope. I no longer check out final sale.
ReplyDeleteHowever, as mommydearest said I already did some damage over the weekend at other retailers!
Happy to hear your power's back on and life is getting back to normal, Alexis! I can't imagine how my sister could stand a whole week without power -- she has 2 small boys under age 8, eeek!
ReplyDeleteI was up toodling around when the code popped up around midnight. Inventory wasn't refreshed (booo) but I picked up some odds and ends anyway -- mostly Crewcuts items for my son. It'll be interesting to see if there's an update tonight.
I need to go into the store TODAY to bring back my final sale mishaps that got pre-credited during the last round of sales ... just haven't had a chance in the past week or two. Will report back if I see anything interesting in store!
Won't bite unless they throw some new stuff in the sale section...
ReplyDeleteNothing for me either unless there are new updates that I consider "Final Sale Low-Risk" ...
ReplyDelete* Tried it before and know it fits
* Sure about the quality
* Color is true and what I expect
* Not so old or rare that it is surely a return and maybe worn
They also need to reduce some of the prices on the lingering FS items to get them moving.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you are back, Alexis!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for a re-stock...
Nothing for me unless they restock. They need to update the kids section too.

ReplyDeleteThere are still some very cute swimsuits for great prices right now. The Islet Paisley is very pretty in person, I bought this on the first promo. Also the Beach Plum Floral is gorgeous and is fully stocked in all sizes.
ReplyDeleteSizing has really changed on the swimwear. Not risking final sale no matter how good the price. I have seen several reports to this fact on this blog. Kind of sad as I used to consistently know my JCrew swim size!

ReplyDeleteGood morning! Has anyone tried either of the two shibori items? They've been in sale for some time, but I'm curious if anyone can post a review or provide IRL pics. After my last order fiasco involving the vintage tweed blazer, I have a sour taste in my mouth and it's not due to sour patch gummies. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteUGH! In the wee hours of the night I was trying to get some popbacks. BUT of course while I was checking out, they disappeared in my cart! Bummer! Oh well....it wasn't meant to be :)! (But congrats to whomever got those two pairs of sz 6 collins :))
ReplyDeleteThere should be a blog term for this occurence that's happened to most of us :)!
Question about really old popbacks...how can the really old popbacks be returns from customers, when the return window is only 2 months or so? I mean, if you see a really old popback, isn't it more likely to be from the warehouse or a store than a customer return, because customers can only return within 2 months of ordering, yeah?
ReplyDeletecuckoo: It sounds like your two pair of Collins were 'crewjacked'. ;)
ReplyDeleteCrewjacked! Good one FFM.
ReplyDeleteI'm debating biting the bullet on the icon trench...it's $100 off still and the 30% applies without final sale. Other than that, I'm back and forth about another swim suit, worked out my sizing issues earlier in the season, but yes, I will agree that the sizing on the swimsuits has definitely changed.
ReplyDelete@FFM Love the new addition to the JC vocab! LOL. I also like "extreme popback", think Gigi or someone else coined that a few weeks ago.
ReplyDelete@Yowza: I've been reading this blog for a while, and have gathered that JC's warehouse and inventory controls are quite wacky. Doesn't surprise anyone one bit that they dig out some random sweater or pair of shoes from the back of a shelf to repost for Final Sale.
For me the only items that are "safe" would be the ones already marked down on promo and ending in $.00 or $.50 before the 30% off.
Gonna go browse and load my cart and contemplate now.
I have been watching the sale section for weeks and had my eye on the Whitby tall kitten-heel leather boots obviously last year stock. They disappeared quickly after the last sale discount but then reappeared (popback??-learning jcrew speak), this morningI snagged them for $118. I love JCrew boots have had many pairs for years and they are still going strong. Hope that they work out since they are FINAL SALE. Also, got a pair of chino shorts...navy which should work. Josanne
ReplyDeleteI do NOT understand the reasoning behind their sales. If they had done a 20% off FP promo this weekend when I actually had some time to do some shopping, I would have done some MAJOR damage!!!
ReplyDeletei have been waiting and waiting for some more sizes in the icon trench!!! would be great to get it 30% off.
ReplyDeleteI was browsing last night around 7:30 PST as I've been perusing the sale swim trying to update my swim collection for cheap, and I noticed that the pleated underwire top was finally back (for a moment) in my size and color! I bit the bullet and ordered it, along with a lowrider in matching color but one size smaller than I had been planning on getting, and two sizes smaller than I got last year (I lost some weight this year so not 100% sure of my size). They are final sale so I hope they fit!
ReplyDeleteBUT, the great part is, I went back after midnight EST and saw they had just added the promo, just a few hours after I had placed my order! So I called CS and a VERY cheery girl answered immediately (not too many people calling at 1:30am CST, I guess!) and was happy to give me a price adjustment for the promotion. Very happy about that, and saved $13! Not much, but on a $50 order, that's a big difference!
Also, my friend ordered a bikini a couple weeks ago from the sale section, final sale, and it was HUGE, she got small top and bottom, and they were ginormous. She took them to the store and they gave her store credit even though they were final sale items. Very nice!
I'm always tempted by the 30% off deals for crewcuts, but the selection today is truly bleak. They need to put some of this merchandise out of its misery.
ReplyDeleteHere goes try number two on the silk mirage jacket. The first time I ordered I received the Double-cloth envelope coat in majestic purple . . .uh, clearly not the right thing! Luckily the ladies at the B&M were really nice taking it back and apologized for the error. Maybe it was meant to work out this way anyway as I got it about $30 cheaper!! Only paying $60 for a $300 collection item isn't bad!
ReplyDeleteThrew in a few jackies I needed to round out my collection to get me up to the free shipping. Hopefully the right items find their way to me this time.
Welcome back Alexis!!
Totally OT, but another eBay LOL:

And another- "favorite feet"- terrible photo too:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/J-Crew-Favorite-feet-Capri-Pants-Women-/230669086442?pt=US_CSA_WC_Pants&hash=item35b4f2eeea
jbird, that second one made me LOL! WTF are people thinking?
ReplyDelete@JCrewJD-
ReplyDeleteHot mess, that's all I could say. VPL, anyone?
OT- I was looking at the Marching Mini skirt, and the website says it is sold out. I somehow find that hard to believe. Did they pull it? Or is did they only make, like 5?
ReplyDeleteNow why oh why couldn't they have had that sale in the stores over the long weekend. Tried on the Jardin skirt in a few sizes but the hems were oh so crooked. Even at the sale price I could bring myself to buy it!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for a percentage off everything sale, I have such a 'wishlist' that I'm waiting to bite on. Just can't bring myself to pay full prices. Imagine if J.Crew had a 40% off like Banana Republic has been having recently- wow!
ReplyDeleteLOL..jbird and j.crewjd, those were priceless...had to google VPL though...those pants could they be any less appealing??? and don't want to ask about the right shoe. Josanne
ReplyDeleteI am with Bindi - have two cashmere sweaters and a pair of trousers in my shopping cart, waiting on a 20% offer..
ReplyDeleteI did pull the trigger on 2 tshirts and a lovely navy-gry gathered pencil skirt that popped back in my size and which is very appropriate for both work and the odd hot toddy on the town...
Alexis, I am glad you're back too. I was checking the blog now and again while I was in traveling and I probably missed what was going on but if you're safe and sound @home then that is good news.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Florida Mommy, I love it, crewjacked is perfect! :^D
(original) Genny, Like you, I am avoiding final sale. I don't have access to a B&M to see the fit and quality first-hand and I agree, the swimsuit sizing was just crazy this year. I also used to know my size and could buy on sale, confident that it would fit. No more. I couldn't get the regular-priced swim to fit so there is no way I am buying on sale. Such a shame, the majority of my swim was J.Crew in years past. Oh well, I hope others get some great deals on items they really want.
ReplyDeleteThe Gloverall plaid toggle coat has been popping back and I HIGHLY recommend it at the sale+30% off price. I got it during the last promo and it is truly a classic! The quality and construction is amazing. I think it runs a little roomy, however, good for sweaters underneath. It is heavy - but pure awesomeness that I will keep forever!! Grab this classic at a great price :)
ReplyDelete(ha! getting blogger in spanish again...??)
AppGal, I am totally with you!! I was expecting 20% off FP which I have been waiting for, for weeks. I was ready to buy sweaters this weekend. I don't know what the method to their madness is, but this was a major shopping weekend and they could have cleaned up. Anyway, I guess we'll wait and see what happens.
ReplyDeleteI did however purchase a factory item that I saw on an associate in my Crewlet over the weekend and loved! It is the Silk Georgette Shirtdress. Doesn't look like much on the website, but on, it's adorable. Still wish they would show factory items on models. Hard to tell what an item will fit like when it's laying down flat.
LOL at the red shoe listing! Why on earth would someone buy that?!
ReplyDeleteWell, now that I have 8 billion separate items of swimwear in the 'new' sizing situation, I feel pretty confident that I can order and have things fit properly. But I learned the hard way during the last % off sale promo, and swimwear is so tough since it's got to fit right on the first shot. Kinda can't hide it if it doesn't fit correctly. All I could do was compare it to how their swimwear used to fit for the past few years, and my verdict is that the bottoms are not skintight / sausage-y anymore (big win for me) and the tops / cup-sized swimsuits have both more room in the cups and more coverage all around.
ReplyDeleteOn this round, I picked up the blue & white thicket floral lido halter bikini and also the retro-dot bikini top and hipster bottoms, both with the tiny ties on the edges. So cute!
I also really, really love the Islet paisley print. I think it's my fave of the season. I'd have loved to get a bikini in the Casbah print, but I just don't need the underwire, sigh. If they'd made it in a wide-band halter, it would be mine! ;)
I truly will not need
Elaine you are too funny. You must have overflowing swimsuit drawers by now.
ReplyDeleteI picked up the summerstock maxi only because I already tried it on in store and it comes out to $28 (added in some non-FS items to try on to get FS). I was thinking of the $245 sequin tank that would be $49 now but stopped myself due to final sale. If it doesn't fit, it's throwing away $50. I think JC is shooting itself in the foot with final sale because people are dissuaded from buying items and that just forces JC to have to mark them down more rather than have people pull the trigger on them.
FabFlorMom: Crewjacked! *LOVEIT*! (no pun intended ;p)
ReplyDeleteHi ladies,
ReplyDeleteI am new to J.Crew. Are these online discounts usually followed by a % off in-store? I found a sold-out online item at my local store that I want to buy... but I would love that extra 30% also :). Thanks for any help!
I got the Sevigne wedges in the soft sandalwood. At $34.99 it's a steal.
ReplyDeleteJC never fails to bring back their "after" holiday sale!
ReplyDeleteFFM: I love your new term!
I ordered some CC dresses for my girls since they had free shipping and oddly some were not final sale even if they ended in .99
I'm annoyed...I wanted another Isabel cashmere sweatshirt and the website has the price in red. Which means they should have at least 1 on sale, but it isn't showing up on the sale page and I just chatted CS and there aren't any. I wish they would just update their page so I wouldn't get my hopes up! UHHH I guess I should have put this in the "Looking to vent" :(
ReplyDeleteOT, but Harper's Bazaar posted a Spring 2012 sneak peek type thing, http://www.harpersbazaar.com/fashion/fashion-articles/designer-drop-in-spring-2012-j-crew
ReplyDeleteI'm the person who bought the size 7 Pailette t-straps. :) I was watching them prior to the 30%-off promo and was surprised that nobody else bought them. When the promo started I couldn't resist. I've had great luck with popbacks, I pray that these are in perfect condition. I have never in my life had such a fine collection of shoes. Ever.
ReplyDeleteHey JCrewJD, thanks for posting that link. Looks like the color lovers will not be disappointed next Spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sneek peek, JCrewJD! I love what I'm seeing so far in terms of the inspiration colours and patterns!
ReplyDeleteBah. The dried blossom featherweight cashmere cardigan is gone. I should have checked this site yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWith all the beautiful new fall colors it's hard to wait for the next coupon code!
ReplyDeleteThe Button Box, Long Shore sweaters are now on sale. The Fair Isle Sweater Vest is too. A cashmere shawl collar cardi is too, but only in white.
ReplyDeleteQuincy tartan is also marked down, and not final sale. Love this shirt! I'm excited to get the fair isle vest now at the sale + discount!
ReplyDeleteWell I just ordered the Isabel Cashmere sweatshirt in XS...even though I own a S one. They sold out of the S and I figured if I got a smaller size I can actually wear it to work. Since Amy was so kind to post the link about cashmere I am sticking to light colors. Purchased the hthr stone of the isabel, the hthr citrus of the cashmere v neck, and the double cloth metro coat in golden mustard. I will probably be returning the full priced items, especially the coat, but wanted to try them on before the go on sale (eventually).
ReplyDeleteI just ordered the Fair Isle Vest and Quincy Tartan as well! I tried these both this last weekend and loved them so I was very happy to see them marked down this morning. I also ordered the Zip-Cable Sweater which had been sitting in my cart for a week!(Please forgive if this posts twice...the first post seems to have disappeared).
ReplyDeleteJust curious, anyone bought the matinee jacket? Do u think It's a good alternative to the traditional trenchcoat? TIA!
ReplyDeleteJust got my package in the mail and I'm over the moon over all of the pieces:
ReplyDeleteLinen island cardigan in sea salt - very loosely woven and the brass buttons are beautiful.
Dearie dress in black - unbelievably flattering even with my hourglass figure. This dress can be worn in summer with sandals or in the winter with tights. All I need to add is a cool belt.
Bonnie blouse in muslin - super cool with the black accent cuffs and ties at neck. This will be super chic with my minnie crops.
Canteen pant - I already have one pair in another color and just couldn't resist grabbing another for $20 bucks.
I'm so happy with everything for once!
And I also noticed that they only marked the cardigan and canteen pants as final sale. The other two items are returnable/exchangeable!
I treated myself to the Darlington Hobo. I could not resist getting a 325 dollar bag for 140. My usual fall/winter purse is not going to make it another season so it seemed like the right time to replace it. I am looking forward to its arrival.
