ReplyDeleteNews flash,
ReplyDeletethe Flair Skirt in Floating Rose (item 49374)is now on sale for $119.99
Hi pathos - that's crazy! Didn't it just come out a rollout or two ago, and now it's final sale?
ReplyDeleteActually, it looks like there are a couple of new FS additions from recent rollouts, including some sweaters that were more expensive yesterday.
pathos and silver_lining: I posted about the Flair skirt in the Ebay thread earlier this morning after noticing it on the website. I agree that it is just crazy to have it marked down AND final sale so quickly after its release. I guess it's safe to assume that it isn't selling that well.
ReplyDeleteHi FFM - that's odd, 'cause I thought it was getting a lot of love on JCA (not that we're the final authority on what's selling well - but we should be! :)). The black Rigby hobo is also marked down - to $149.99 (over $100 off!). Even with the lack of good promos, the markdown behavior has still taught me not to pay FP at JC.
ReplyDeletesilver_lining: It seems the only thing predictable about J.Crew is that they are completely unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is still available in all sizes as of this morning but that may change with the markdown.
FYI: For those who were looking for the Foundry pant, there are numerous sizes available again this morning.
ReplyDeleteTons of new markdowns besides the flair skirt... like the clipper cardigan, two colors of the cashmere henley, some of the ugly shoes... probably more that I haven't seen yet.
ReplyDeleteI love my library skirt which I am wearing for the first time today. Sorry, can't find much else to love about the whackjobs over at J.Crew today, especially in light of their inexplicable markdown schedule.

ReplyDeleteFlair skirt in floating rose has been on my wishlist but I'm going to wait it out for extra % off since first markdown is already FINAL SALE! This is just ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteI agree to wait and see on the floating rose skirt. $120 is not a bargain price for this sales shopper (and final sale to boot!) PASS!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the Flair skirt, I think the $120 would actually be good starting price when you think about it. This is a pretty print but very memorable and I don't find not that many options to wear on top, camel washes me out. I think I prefer more colorful tops and solid buttons, but this is just me.
ReplyDeletebottoms, not buttons
ReplyDeleteLove the styles this season. The pencil skirt, the tippi, the cashmere cable, all the short sleeve silk blouses, the telegraph skirt - it kills me that this is the first year I don't actually need a longer skirt like this after years of vainly hoping for one, the colors. Would love to spend a small fortune. Must be sensible. Must be sensible.
ReplyDeleteReally liked the Mona in basic black when I tried it on - a bit expensive but lovely on and didn't feel high.
Hassle free return in store of silk lucinda.
I am loving the wool pencil skirts again this year. I bought three already and number 4 is on the way. I'm crazy, I know, but I live in these for work and can't resist getting the new colors each season. I haven't bought a lot else from J.Crew this fall so I am sticking to the workhorse pieces, which was my plan. Love them though!
ReplyDeleteajc,
ReplyDeleteI agree. Camel washes me out too and black is not a favorite of mine...I think the skirt is very memorable as you say though.
