JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

    to wear to a wedding. Any thoughts about necklaces that would take it in a modern direction/keep it young and fresh (I am mid-thirties)? All ideas are appreciated-thanks!

    Need some styling help with the Indira Ikat dress. I was thinking of wearing this with my silver Palma sandals, but I don't have too many ideas on what else I can wear with it. It seems to be a bit limited for styling choices, but I do love the dress!

    Unsure of what to wear with new cafe capris in Cedar Plank. It is such a warm brown... I am clueless.

    JCrewJD - here's where I would revert to the basic off-white, black, navy blue (even a deep blue).

    Thanks Rose! I was thinking perhaps chambray too. I only own one chambray shirt that I have yet to wear but it struck me as something that might go with the weird color brown pants.

    Joelle blouse in blue, or fineline cami from this year in the blue color maybe? Thanks for the suggestions. I have TONS of tops in various shades of navy and deep blue. I will try them!

    J. CrewJD: peach/coral, chambray blue, baby blue, brown/tortoise, sour lemon!

    Wendy- LOVE the Mosaic Blue. I'd keep the jewelry light, but go for an edgy metal or an edgy color mash-up with the blue, like rust or olive green. A scarf would look great, too!

    jbird- because the pattern is so vibrant, you could go with any basic sandal (casual look) or heel (more formal) and not compete. I like brown leather sandals especially!

    I created a polyvore set inspired by Jcrew catalog outfit that uses the Cafe Capris in Cedar Plank and a green top.
