Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, what items are you planning to get. Please share! :)
Alexis, there are new arrivals online today, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks FFM! Very excited to see their catalog with its nautical theme. :)
ReplyDeleteI ordered the stripe button-back tee in the English saddle color. These have been out of the stores for months yet still FP online. They finally marked them down! Would have gotten a couple more things, but I'm already WAY over my budget for the month with vacation looming.
ReplyDeleteUntil further cuts there is not much I am interested in. Same old inventory, day after day... sadly.
ReplyDeleteA lot of items took a further markdown today (at least ones I was watching) so I didn't wait for the additional % off. The Cotton Tie-front Cardigan is down to 34.99 from 49.99 yesterday; other items reduced as well - check your bookmarks!
ReplyDeleteYay! Bought the ivory eyelet pencil skirt. I've been eyeing it for ages.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see free shipping no minimum. This is the kind of promo I prefer. No final sale and free ship. Keep it coming just like this J.Crew. Way to go!!!!
ReplyDeleteI used it to buy the new Jardin skirt in the rich purple color. It's already waitlisted until the first of July though!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that there is at least one glitch with the sale section. There are still Jenna's cardigans on sale, but if you try to access them through the sale section you can only access the full-priced cardigans. I have a bookmark to the sale cardigans here. I'm assuming my link is legit, I didn't buy any today so can't be 100% certain.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the embroidered souk top? I noticed that it's almost half off and I'd never even seen it before (though I haven't been in a store in a while).
ReplyDeleteLaurenPhD: I tried on the Embroidered Soup Top at the store last week in the pink color. It's a very cute top, the embroidery is lovely, and I would have gotten it except that the main color is more like a nude/beige and washed me out. (I don't want to people to think I'm just wearing the embroidery around my neck and nothing else :)) The other colors weren't on sale at that time in the store so I didn't try them on. But they won't have the wash-me out effect so should work better. It fits true to size IMO. HTH!
ReplyDeleteI meant Souk not Soup top :) Sorry!
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYay for no minimum!
ReplyDeletei was really excited to see this today, and i did notice a few small price drops here and there. i picked up the red ikat tie fabric belt and the perfect-fit tank in cobalt blue to wear on July 4. :)
ReplyDeleteI was pleased to see this offer, so I went to check my cart to see what I might want to order. Only to find it empty. I will make my way to the vent thread now....
ReplyDeleteFYI, there was a pretty big sale update in the last 30 minutes. (And thanks for the review Greta!)
ReplyDeleteRRR! All I want is the darn Pier Stripe Sweatshirt in Ivory X Small which they have but every time I go to add it to my cart it adds the dark navy instead. HARUMPH!
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of promo that always gets me! But I was good and only got one thing. I found the Madras Schoolboy Perfect shirt in my size. Crossing my fingers that it actually ships!
ReplyDeleteI like this promo, and I dare say J.Crew must have been listening to the many gripes over their shipping charges. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI used this to buy the Starfish board shorts for my husband. He is very fit and will look so good in these shorter swim shorts. I know he will love the off-seam pockets too.
I threw in another pair of summerweight chino shorts for me since they had a further markdown today that took them lower than if yesterday's price had been reduced by an extra 30% so that was nice. Sale stock has already dwindled significantly from the big update a few hours ago.
Egyptomaniac,
ReplyDeleteI blame a fellow JCA for this, but I also ordered a Madras Schoolboy perfect shirt this morning since someone here put the idea in my head that it would be nice to have a "back up" for when my first one wears out. I guess that shows how much I love that shirt! :) With the free shipping and it actually popping back in my size I couldn't resist- hopefully both of ours will ship!
Was so excited to see the promo (yay, JCrew!) only to be disappointed that the lace blouson dress seems to have disappeared...so, just got the silk driving scarf instead. I think it will be a nice, versatile piece for summer :)
ReplyDeletesub :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love the look of the Mara suede wedges (the cobblestone especially)! I bought a pair of them in black size 8.5 yesterday, and now they have the cobblestone in a 7.5! I'm usually a size 8 - should I stick to the 8.5 or go ahead and order the 7.5 and return whichever doesn't fit? Eek! I don't know what to do.
ReplyDeletechasingxcars, until someone comes along with specific Mara info, I can tell you that I've got lots of J Crew shoes and am taking 1/2 size larger for the closed toed shoes and my normal size for the open toes. J Crew shoes tend to run small. I personally would not drop down 1/2 size but again I don't know specifically about the Maras. And at least they're not final sale so if they don't fit you can return them!
ReplyDeletechasingxcars, I found an old thread (from 3 days ago, ha!) which states that the Mara wedges run small.
ReplyDelete@tamara.chicago:
ReplyDeleteThank you! I didn't even think to check that post, haha! :)
@chasingxcars: I own the Mara suede wedges and I took my regular size. Though I like wearing them if I walk for a while it pinches in my big to area. I don't think going up 1/2 size would have helped since it would have been slipping off in the back when walking. I know it's confusing but hope this helps.
ReplyDelete@jcrewphd - Uh oh...well, my shoes are coming in a few days so hopefully they fit! Thank you though :)

I nomally go crazy and tend to buy more than I need during the past 2-3 free ship promo pd, wo having worry to buy at least $100-150. This time I've only purchased 4 items so far. I feel like, there's nothing I really need....
ReplyDeleteI want to buy a full priced item and I'm thinking about buying another item that is on sale and has been in the sale section for a while, i.e., I don't think it's going anywhere soon but if it does oh well. Anyway, I'm actually holding off buying the FP item because I think a new promo will have a %-off with free ship over $100 or $150, and I want to save my FP item so it can kick me over the free ship limit. I know I'm not the only person who does this. All to save, what, $8.50 or a little more? Perhaps it's counterproductive but I do it anyway.
