Yes, it is that wonderful time!
A big "thanks!" to GigiOfCa & Rose (in this post), who shared that J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $100+ with promo code SHIP100 and on orders of $150+ with promo code SHIP150. This offer expires June 5, 2011.
Another "thanks!" to Rose (of the lovely "1 More Shopping Blog"), who shared that J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $100+ with promo code EKB93C. This offer expires June 24, 2011.
P.S. I have noticed that other blogs & websites post J.Crew codes & coupons *after* this blog does. If you happen to get codes & coupons from the JCA blog & post them at your site, could you please give give a "shout out" to the JCA blog? This way more JCAs are inclined to share. TIA! :)
With help from my early-rising JCA pal Tamara, I managed to complete a checkout with the canvas schoolboy blazer! Now, will it ship? Stay tuned, DUN DUN DUNNNNN. ...
ReplyDeleteI also added in a backup patchwork/madras plaid perfect shirt, since I love my first one so much I'm afraid I might lose it or damage it in some way. It's down to $29.99, so you can't lose.
I threw in a perfect tank and a tee for my son to make the $100 min. *So happy* I checked here prior to checkou, because I already paid for shipping on 2 separate orders of one item apiece earlier this week, which made me MAD.
That said, I just LOVE my madras popover (the red/white/blue one) and I'm going to wear it to work today (YAY). ... I sized down to a Small and it fits like a glove. Would have liked to pay less than $50 for it, but that's about what it was including shipping.
Tomorrow the vintage cotton cowlneck sleeveless top in modern red should be arriving. I'm very curious to see the color in person. I'm expecting an orangey-red, but who really knows? lol.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
I hope your blazer ships, Elaine! I'm so glad you were able to at least check out without it being yanked out from under you at the last moment.
ReplyDeleteDear Shekster, I feel really bad for calling you at 2:45am your time. I hope you got your item and your husband doesn't want to hurt me. :) (I have NEVER called anyone at that hour! Even drunk dials!)
It was a pretty good update.
Thanks Gigi and Rose and Alexis for the SHIP100 code. I was only aware of SHIP150 and I didn't think I'd use it, but I'll probably use SHIP100.
Too bad there is not a SHIPFREE code!
ReplyDeleteI bit on the Jenny Dress because for $29.99 I think it is PERFECT for taking my daughter to the park. Also am trying the Sophie blouse in weathered wood because I have a strange obsession with that color. Also trying the ultra knit un-sweatpant in a S since I ordered XS before and would like to see them a bit more baggy. We'll see how everything turns out!
ReplyDeleteYay free shipping!

ReplyDeleteHI Tamara, We were so tired from the cats waking us up at all hours we did not even hear the phone. We must have a mind-boggling number of loud birds in my neighborhood ! Between them and trying to catch pop-backs I was just exhausted this AM. Thanks for thinking of me ! @Elaine I am so happy you got your blazer ! So far my items have been shipping so fingers crossed !

ReplyDeleteShekster, you need to train your cats to log on and place orders for you. :)
ReplyDeleteWe're doing a road trip tomorrow so I probably won't be getting up early to check for updates. Guaranteed then that it will be a big one.
I ended up waking up just before 4:30am without my alarm (this is not a good thing) so I went online and there was a decent update. I got some more of those little straw hats, I had bought the stripe-brim straw fedora in the brown color a few weeks ago, I think I added it to reach a min for free shipping, and I was surprised by how cute it is! So I wanted more and of course I couldn't find them, but this morning the stripe-brim in black and also the classic straw fedora in mink popped back so I bought them. I even paid for shipping. But now I'm suffering from the collect 'em all illness, I now "need" the classic fedora in the lighter color too. And hats for my husband. Is this some intrinsic human trait to want to collect something in every color?
ReplyDeleteTamara, you are too funny, but actually I have seen other JCAs talk about buying in multiples when they find an item they just love. I have several of the same items in different colors too. My one cat insists on walking all over the keyboard of my laptop while I am shopping online, but so far no luck training him to use it ! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteI am disappointed that J Crew is no longer shipping via Post to Canada. I have to reconsider buying anything now as shipping and duty on items really, really adds up and makes a huge difference at the check out point.
ReplyDeleteblondefatale, did J.Crew just remove the Canada Post option recently? It may be due to the impending postal strike and just a temporary thing.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked at how quickly they removed the Canada Post option...it was gone at 8am on Friday morning. I'm hoping that it's just due to the potential postal strike and that it will come back, because it's amazing how much of a difference it makes!
ReplyDeleteThe Attache Dress popped back in my size in navy on Friday morning and I wanted to order it, but with the Canada Post option gone it came to $210 (and that is WITH free shipping!), as opposed to the $158 it would have been. I ended up ordering it and shipping it to a U.S. address instead.
I logged in and had free shipping on my account, no minimum. Love it! Ordered a madras shirt, so I hope it ships. :)
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteI was really upset about the Canada Post option being removed - the gingham perfect shirt that I have been waiting for popped back yesterday morning but the taxes/duties negated the free shipping. I hope they put back that option once the strike passes because that additional cost really makes or breaks whether I proceed with a purchase.
ReplyDeletexoxo: You're right, the pending Canada Post strike is probably what prompted J Crew to remove the Post shipping option. I just hope that once the strike issue is resolved they don't decide to just not offer that option anymore. It really comes in handy when you just want to pick up one small item.
