Happy New Year's Eve! {celebrating with J.Crew?}

Happy New Year J.Crew Aficionadas & Aficionados!

I want to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful new year! {yey!} I look forward to celebrating the up-coming 2011 J.Crew collections with you all. :)

As usual, this post is to find out what everyone is planning to wear tonight. I know I have mentioned this before, but I also really enjoy these posts. I find it interesting to see how other Aficionadas and Aficionados style certain pieces, providing me wonderful ideas for future outfits. :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear during New Years Eve and/or New Years Day? :)

As for me, I am going with some sparkle. I am going to wear a pair of J.Crew's Vintage Slim Jeans with the Drapey Sequin Tee (Item 33541; $79.50) in Dark Pewter and a pair of J.Crew's black ballet flats. As for accessories, I am going with the lovely Crystal Winged Bracelet (Item 35092; $85.00) and the luxurious Buena Notte Bag (Item 29477; $188.00).

What are you planning to wear this New Year (Eve or Day)? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

  6. It's going to be very casual. So I'm thinking boyfriend jeans rolled up w/my Haya sequined sweatshirt and ballet flats b/c we'll be inside all evening. Or, maybe w/skinny leather legging pants and motorcycle boots. Gotta try it on to see how it looks together. Happy New Year to all!

  8. Happy New Year, JCAs! And thanks, Alexis, for all your hard work keeping us informed and entertained this year.

Tonight will be a very casual dinner with friends at a cottage up north, so I'll be wearing my Trouper Pants with a slouchy cashmere boyfriend sweater and my JC vintage roadster boots.

  9. Drapey sequin tee for me too. (And I swear after this no more sequins, ever!) We're going to a small party, and I will wear the heirloom pink tee with the Marjorie ballet flats in metallic sherbet, and either black Minnies or henna matchstick cords.
    Happy New Year!

  11. Happy New Year Alexis and the JCA Gang!

Not sure what I'm even doing tonight. It will be casual, for sure this year. I'll post my final selection soon.

Sure wish I had the drapey sequin tee!

  12. Happy New Year Alexis and all the lovely JCAs that make this blog so wonderful.

We were going to go skating on the frozen pond but even with a thermos of hot cocoa and the bonfire I don't think everyone can take the outdoor temperature today, it's -9F/-23C right now. Will likely gather the skaters together for dinner and drinks instead. I'll have to look through the closet but I'm leaning toward the sequin skirt from last year or the python tweed pencil skirt that my husband loves. Will look to the rest of you for inspiration on the top and shoes.

  13. Alexis, your outfit sounds pretty & sparkly. I'll be staying in probably w/ Anthro's hindsight cardi in green, a navy/wht striped boatneck from Gap and J Crew jeans. Fit flops for the feet. We're not going anywhere. I sound like a frog right now, so only ginger crystals in hot water for me.

Tomorrow or Sun we may go out for an early dinner. I planned for the sweatshirt dress, long necklace from F21 & tall snowboots. I forgot to bring a scarf, so not sure it will be warm enough. Alt outfit is a blk thermal to wear under a black silk tunic, black leggings, snowboots & turquoise earrings. I have a couple of sparkly JC bracelets if I'm in the mood.

    Have fun everyone :-)

  21. Ok, finally busting out my Encrusted Highland Tartan Tunic tonight. Ya know, the crazy plaid rhinestoned top that came out last year for $800? I bought it at the clearance store last year for about $100... been waiting for a chance to wear it. We are going to a pretty casual party but I barely know anyone there and figure I might as well have fun with my outfit. Wearing it with black pixie pants and black Cosette peep toes. Hopefully I am not looking too sparkly!

    Happy New Years eve, everyone!

  26. Happy New Year, Alexis, and to all the other wonderful JCAs!

Yesterday to church, I finally wore my Moss Tweed pencil skirt with a pale spearmint color turtle neck from BR years ago and wore my blue velvet Bella blazer. I was surprised how much this blue velvet Bella picked up the teal color from the skirt. Love JC colors!
