J.Crew Email: HURRY, ENDS SOON. Extra 30% off sale & FREE SHIPPING.

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the email from J.Crew this morning.

The email reminds us about J.Crew's latest offer to take 30% off all final sale items (no min) and free shipping (on $150+) with promo code SHOPNOW. This offer expires this Sunday, January 2, 2011.

I love that this promotion has been running for so long. Unfortunately, the Final Sale section (click here to shop online) has not been updated in the past few days. Here's to hoping it will soon! :)

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get? Does your local B&M have "final sale" as well?

  1. I placed a couple of orders with this promo and finally got the dreaded "news about your order". Well not too sad b/c the full price ride along was one of the items canceled.

However if anyone ordered and received the leopard patent belt in medium and doesn't want it, please let me know!

  2. I refuse to buy final sale. Boycotting until it is over.

    MaryMoo,

I hope you can find your belt!

  3. Final sale means I don't even bother looking anymore.

  4. Spent way too much at Christmas for this latest promotion. Trying extra hard to stay out of the B&M store!

  5. I also got the "news about your order" email. If anyone is willing to part with the Cypress plaid mini in size 4 or 6 I would appreciate it.

  6. Just called local B&M - it is now additional 40% off sale in stores.

  7. Well I have a couple of popbacks I'm stalking and will likely pull the trigger if they make it into a restock. I've had good luck with final sale in the past so hopefully that will continue.

  8. Genny and Cass,

I agree. Final sale. I don't bother even looking. Final sale has had too many ups and downs and failures for me! Live and learn!

  9. Same here, I haven't checked out the sale section for several days. I did however buy a scarf for my mom yesterday with the 30% off final sale, but I hear now it's additional 40% off? Darn!

  10. Hey final sale, I hope you do end soon!

  11. jcrewphd - Always switching it up on us. I bought a top yesterday, too. Oh well. I guess it's only pennies on the dollar.

It's interesting how much that the promos continue because the stores are empty. Maybe markdowns today, tomorrow?

  13. Got a dreaded "News About Your Order" for the Alpine Goosedown Puffer Jacket for DH. It's weird because I ordered it amidst an order for myself and the kids and received shipping info for everything within hours of placing the order but this coat's order wasn't among the notifications. I should have figured. Oh well...it's off to the 'bay to see if I can score...

I do love my Lodge Puffer though. I scored a cobblestone medium for $69 in-store, so if anyone is waffling, they are great coats. I did think it was strange that the medium was almost a little too roomy. It's fine because I have broad shoulders and I planned to wear it with a sweater, but I think the lack of the sherpa lining means I have to size down. I was wearing a tee at the store and found I could wear the small Meribel. Weird...

  14. Ordered too much with the previous 30% without final sale. Now I refuse to buy FS. Hope it goes away soon!!!! We need more updates!

Still looking for the tweed schoolboy blazer in aluminum (grey) in size 0....I wonder if anyone has seen it in their stores?

  15. I went to the mall and was told the 40%off sale items would continue through this weekend.

Also got a new catalog. There was not a single graphic/art tees in the Jan catalog. All solid or striped tees.
The same skinny tall supermodel everyone hated this spring is on the cover. But this time she's smiling and the catalog seems more toward basic j crew.

  16. My PS told me final sale online will last months. Big bummer.

  17. OT - has anyone tried the Noelle booties? I love the idea of these with the shearling lining. Would be nice to hear what others who have tried or seen them IRL think.

  18. I'll take basic J.Crew any day over that crummy garbage they've been putting out!

  20. My final sale short Britten boots finally arrived and I'm afraid I'm not quite bad-a enough to pull them off :o( I was sooo excited to finally snag my size- and on sale at that. Le sigh! I have never used a PS, but may just have to go that route. Right now I look silly

  21. I don't mind final sale at the B&M because I can try things on, but I won't buy final sale online unless it's jewelry or something I've already tried on at the B&M and know that it fits.
That being said, I went to two B&Ms today and got some things at 40% off clearance: Drapey sequin tee in pewter, Heidi dress in wool flannel (marked down to $49.99 plus an additional 40% off!!), a marled cardigan, black Thandie blazer and a green plaid scarf.
I tried on the Bonfire cardigan in marled grey expecting that it would be bulky and make me look big, but it was so flattering! However, it wasn't on sale in the store, but it is online, so since I know that I'll love it and it will fit, I'm going to go ahead and order it.

  23. Sale at the Lexington KY B&M was also Final and 40% off. It was actually pretty well stocked consirdering the selection we normally have in the Sale area (i.e., Tees for Days!). In the Sale area, I picked up the Holland sweater in white, another Drapey Sequins tank, and a Chalet turtleneck in grey. I also tried on a few of the new items and ended up going home with the Beatrice Tunic ($48) and Stripe Linen Blend Jersey tank in pink($38). The tank is super cute for spring and actually looks great underneath the Holland sweater.

  24. For anyone who is looking to purchase the crewcuts Gloverall duffle coat, don't. The coat isn't lined with plaid as the website description states and it is VERY boxy. At $192 with tax, it is definitely not worth the price tag.

  25. JenLynn, I just came from the 45th & Madison store in NYC and they have a bunch of Cypress plaid skirts. If you want to give them a call, their number is (212) 949-0570. There was a whole wall of them and I have to imagine they have a 4 or a 6. HTH!
