"Looking to LOVE" with J.Crew

Preface: A big "thanks!" to Ibi who suggested weekly 'Looking to LOVE' and 'Looking to HATE' posts where we could all "deposit" our best & worst current experiences. I think it is a brilliant idea and will try it out for a few weeks. Hopefully this will help out our fellow JCAs! :)

This is the weekly "Looking to LOVE with J.Crew" post, a place to share our favorite experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a positive situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including stellar experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. I got the best post-christmas present yesterday: a final sale miracle!

Without trying it on in store, I took a chance on the wool bell skirt in henna based on JCA reviews and a few other style blogs. It fits! And it's even more gorgeous than expected :)

Of course, my boyfriend didn't understand why I was dancing around the kitchen. I knew you ladies (and gents!) would!

  2. I still love my ps. I went down on Tuesday to try on new arrivals, but they weren't out yet - they were delayed due to the snow in Asheville. But, my ps pulled a couple of things for me anyway (even though his manager wasn't thrilled about it) and held up some things for me to see. :)

  4. Devon: That's a very funny story - I just picture you singing and dancing around your kitchen with your skirt :) Great story!

Love my Tiered Silk Ruffle Cami! Took a chance with FS, because for $20.99, how bad could it be and it's stunning -- love the silk flounce. And I'm surprised because I don't have gorgeous arms but this top makes me feel beautiful :)

Short Icon Trench: F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! DH and I have been talking about how women's clothing (not just with JC) differ so much in quality. He went down the list: lined? (check), leather details? (check), functional buttons and details? (check), quality fabric? (check)....just a great purchase from final sale. And exactly what I was looking for (shorter/car-coat length for rainy days)!

  5. Just returned from the 45th & Madison store in NYC with some really exciting final sale scores! The Cord Atlee skirt (which I do not need at all, but it's sooo cute) was $12 after the 40% off! And they had exactly 1 left. And it was my size. Just felt meant to be :)

Also, this morning I was too nervous to order the Kelcey tortoise flats on final sale - in store they also had exactly 1 pair left, the size I was going to order, and they were PERFECT!! They were still marked $125 but they price matched the online sale price of $79.99 and gave me the 40% off to boot. My feet are thrilled!

  6. Nice, everyone! I posted this on the sale thread, but after a mess with the order, I received my tartan boy shirt (LOVE) I ordered weeks ago. Though it was past the 7 days or whatever, since it just arrived, the professional SA gave me a price adjustment to the sale + 40% price. Very happy with that.

  7. Thumbs up to a lovely SA at the Pacific Place Mall in SEA location, Lisa. When I went last week, the store was swamped with shoppers, but she played traffic cop at the dressing room and was cheerful and professional. Also want to report that the 1st of my 2 pre-Christmas orders have arrived, all are in order, no mistakes, no holes, no weird smells ;)
