Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new HOLIDAY arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. If anyone is looking to find the faded paisley or bayberry flouncette blouses, I saw a bunch of them at the Camarillo, CA crewlet. Checked the tags to make sure they were retail. On Saturday there were a lot of sizes available!

  3. No trip to the mall for me this past weekend, either.

  5. I didn't brave the mall this weekend, and I'm happier for it! :)

  6. I didn't go either. But I noticed the blouses Andra mentioned at a crewlet last week. They were marked back up to $84.50 and 40% off. Um no thanks. The SA said they were seeing more retail peices recently.

  7. This weekend I bought the twilight shift dress. The picture on the web site does nothing for it.... It is black stretch wool with navy silk panels inset on the sides, and a keyhole back, tied with big navy silk ties. Keep your eye on it. I got it on a nice discount, and needed it for an event I was going to (I wore it with a black tissue turtleneck, tights and boots), but I expect to see a big markdown hit it....

    Just my luck!

  8. I received one of my orders over the weekend. I got the 2 tone Langford High Heel Oxfords. They fit well, TTS, and for the height of them, they are comfortable. I love the style, but am wondering what I'd wear them with. I also ordered them in black, and know I'll get a ton of use out of them, but will I get as much use from the 2 tone style? Styling suggestions welcome. They are gorgeous, but I'm thinking maybe it's frivolous to keep both the black and the 2 tone. Thoughts?

  9. Went to the store in Pasadena,CA and they had tons of sale items. They had the 25%off your 150.00 purchase promo, which of course i took advantage of. The Lisette shell was marked 49.99 before discount, less than what it's going for online. I saw the black and the pink colors. I also got the Marabou cashmere cardi in black, they had tons... with discount i ended up paying $60, good deal i thought; the sweater is darling. I also saw a few sunnie skirts in the gray color, a couple of the drapey sequined stripe shirts in XXS and XS, tons of felted wool minis, green tweed minis, several lace camis in the nude color and tons of matchstick cords.

  10. Julienne heels, need advice!

    I ordered a size 7 1/2 and a size 8, can't figure out which to return.

Both vaguely fit, the 7 1/2 slightly tight and the 8 slightly loose. Do they stretch? Any advice? Also, with the 7 1/2, I have to have the buckle on the last hole. The 8 could stretch to be too big, but not if they aren't tight and I am not putting pressure on them, right?

I love the color, but don't get what all the fuss is about. When I walk, they make an awful stick noise every time my foot lifts off the sole. May have to stick some kind of liner? If this is what leather liner is all about, give me manmade any day. My office is VERY quiet and people will hear me coming a mile away.

  11. Paisley cloud perfect shirt, making me worry about my weight. I am usually a 4 in perfect shirts, was a 2 in the rosebud shirt, but this fits me in a 6! Sure, it's a little big, but pulls when I stretch both arms forward. I should probably cancel the 4 I have on backorder. This ruffles my feathers because I thought I was always safe with a 4.

  12. UPS guy just dropped off 1 of the 3 GIFTS orders that are "out for delivery" today. He was driving a Budget rent-a-truck. Never seen that before but he was definitely in the UPS uni. I just hope the other two packages are getting dropped off today as the tracking status implies and won't show up tomorrow listed as "missed at the depot".

Meanwhile, my sweater promo iorder is still languishing in eastern Canada. I think this one is going to break my record for the longest delivery.

  13. Got the Stadium Cloth Pea Coat today and it's going back. The fabric seems cheap, the shoulders were too big and the sleeves too long. I'm bummed, but I've come to the conclusion that this year's JC coats are not for me.

  14. Jruby: uh oh, what!? That's the first bad review I've read of the Stadium-cloth coat, and mine's supposed to arrive tomorrow! What color did you order it in?

  15. Ali: I just got the stadium cloth peacoat in heather charcoal and LOVE it. I don't feel like it looks or feels cheap at all, and mine fits me very well (you can see pics of it here). Hope yours works out!

  16. AppGal: Looks great on you! I ordered it in the Nordic Blue, and I hope it works out!
