Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new HOLIDAY arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. I was on the fence about ordering the Muse tank on promo b/c had not tried on (and couldn't find much in blogosphere re: sizing), but I did this weekend and LOVED it. As a mom of 3, I am always looking for something to distract from the bit of belly I still have and this tank has a gentle swish of silk in the perfect spot. I ordered 3 colors. I wore my usual JC small for this one.

Also, noticed the pretty blue version of the Sunnie pencil skirt was on the sale rack (I think $89.99) only 00-0-2 sizes though.

The Dulphine open cardi is also very nice: soft and drapey. Again, my usual Small was great fit.

  3. I just saw the new promo too, GiGi. Except, for a promo that says "all women's outwear 30%" there is surprisingly few pieces that are marked down!

    What's the deal?

  4. I did not got to a B&M JC over the weekend as we were out of town and nowhere near (I think) a JC! However, I did place several orders using the GIFTS code so will be visiting several times in the coming week to make returns. Several of my orders were "re-orders" of things I already have or had bought for gifts that I was able to get @ 30% off....so am returning original items (still have tags on!). I picked up several sweaters and a pair of the leather driving mocs and added some "ride alongs" to bring my totals up, as well. The bad/good thing is that I usually end up keeping several of the ride-alongs!Probably will not order anything with the new promo....we don't need too much outerwear in Texas, but I am hoarding my cardmember promo code for a while!

  5. I did not go. This is the longest period in quite some time I haven't been in. And definitely the best promo I have passed on. I didn't buy one thing with GIFTS!! I hate to pass on a promo - I always try to buy to encourage them to offer promos. And it gives me a slightly wicked plaesure to buy less-than-ticketed price JCrew after reading reading about how much Mickey hates discounting and his $800 umbrella goal. But there is nothing I want. And I'm not giving gifts that can't be returned.

  6. I sought after the Walker Ankle Boots item 28675 through WWFIFY this weekend & was told they could not locate them. Behold, it's not even the wee hours of the a.m. & I was able to secure them in my size on the website! Yay!!!

  7. Hubby and I were in the US for the weekend and took advantage of the 30%-off promo in a big way. For me: Trouper pants (size down, ladies!), cashmere v-neck sweater, flannel pj pants, chunky Fairisle sweater. For him: socks, Alpine down puffer vest, tie, toque & scarf, faded shirt, three Timex watch straps, destroyed State sweatshirt.

Question about the Trouper pants -- is the "Titanium" colour they show online actually green? In store they had the Shadow and a green, which is the colour I bought (my receipt colour code says "GY"). I prefer the more khaki shade of Titanium, but wonder if it just shows up weird on screen.

  8. Am soooooo happy I snagged the Sperry Shearwater boot in Windsor Grey which a Jcrew rep had told me was completely sold out. (wish they were a little more informative - the boots had not even come in yet). Anyways, they are mine with 30% off...whoo hoo! Also snagged the Wide calfhair leopard belt which is now sold out and the Fine Cotton Desert Shirt!

  9. The most difficult thing with this kind of promo is to find everything you want in just one store to get the. I went to two stores and one had the item that was on the top of my list but nothing else that I wanted and the other one had the other items but not the one that I most wanted. Curious to know if any JCA had luck to "combine" the purchases from two stores to get the 30% off? In the end I ordered everything but one item online and I got the missing item in store where they applied the 30% off even if it was way below the minimum (I just mentionned my online order).

  10. Hey J.Crew...What's with the free bad attitude this morning? Maybe they need to provide good coffee as a perk for working there...

  11. I placed several orders with the promo and managed to snag some great deals on popbacks including the plaid tuxedo pants and gold Sunnie skirt. If they don't work out I'll offer them on the WE at the 30% off price since they sold out so quickly and other JCAs may be looking for these items.

I have many packages coming from J.Crew and others over the next while as well as my husband's cyber Monday orders. UPS, FedEx, DHL and the mail carrier are going to think we've lost our minds.

  12. I'm fortunate to work near the only B&M J. Crew in MS. This weekend, I picked up the tartan tuxedo shirt, the merino turtleneck sweater in rustic barn, and the tavern green cotton plaid metallic scarf. It was the holiday open house at the shopping center where the store is located, so I was in a holiday mood, buying all red and green items.

  13. Does anyone have a gently used J Crew Shimmy Dress in a size 2 that they would be willing to sell? I would also need the slip and sash that goes with it.

    Thanks so much!
