Although this time, they are *not* throwing in free shipping with this offer. Ah well! :)
Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, what items are you planning to get. Please share! :)
I was hoping that the next promo would be sweaters!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Preppy Pom Mom! I want some Jackies. Unfortunately, my body type doesn't "allow" me to wear shorts :)
ReplyDeleteNothing for me with this promo. :)
ReplyDeleteDarn it, why don't these specific item promos ever include the guys?!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered shorts yesterday. Annnd still waiting for a code for ALL regularly priced items.
ReplyDeleteYes, the guys should get equal treatment and have shorts on sale for them!!! How true. The promos should apply to them as well or at least give them special ones as well every now and then!
ReplyDeleteQNQS,
ReplyDeleteWhat about the guys?? Should we boycott?
Seriously, I just realized that I never see promos for the Men. What is this all about?
Ordered the Carson poplin shorts, and the Flora paisley shorts! Threw in a sale cardi for good measure. :)
ReplyDeleteI rarely wear shorts (maybe around the house) so pass for me.
ReplyDeleteYes, there should be same promo for the men's as well.
Too bad I've already bought many of J. Crew's shorts this season. I'm convinced that they are such a well-kept secret.... BR never has anything in interesting prints or colors, nor does Martin&OSA, Gap, or Ann Taylor (even now that they've revamped their offerings). And on the super-cheap end, American Eagle and similar sellers are manufacturing only shorts with--gasp--2" inseams. (I don't think I've ever been prepared, mentally or physically, to wear a 2" inseam. That extra inch really matters to me for some reason.)
ReplyDeleteLauren, I have and love the heavy poplin Carsons--in all the colors--and the Floras too. They are too great!
I only wear longer shorts out of the house. I bought 4 pair from Talbots as they have longer inseams and 20% off anything right now and I liked them a lot.
ReplyDeleteI bought many pairs of JCrew shorts over the years 2000-2004 but I don't wear them anymore b/c of the shorter inseams.
I wear the Bermuda shorts from J Crew and have ordered a pair from the last 3 seasons. This year's version the quality is not as good as previous seasons, the belt loops are loosely attached to the waist band it will not take much for them to come undone. Another change to the 2010 Bermuda shorts, there is no stretch and seem to be running as tad larger this yr.
ReplyDeleteI bought two pairs of cargo shorts and one pair of the longer camp shorts last spring, so that does it for me! You would think JC would create these offerings where the promotional product was something one would think of accumulating a fair amount of (denim, shoes, sweaters, bags - haha!)...I don't know of too many folks who have their closets busting with shorts...
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, boo! on JC for not including guys on these promos...that's not fair!
OT: I guess all is well in J Crew-land amongst executive staff (from Daily Front Row, via Jezebel):

audball: Executives get bonuses while their staff had to take cuts to their pension, boo J Crew!!
ReplyDeleteAbigal~ glad to hear it! I tried the Carsons on in my B&M a while back and loved them, just not FP loved them. Glad this promo gives me the excuse!
ReplyDeleteI've always bought shorts from American Eagle the past 7-8 years, but this season they are shorter and of a terrible quality. Blech.
If they included free shipping, I would definitely take advantage. However, 20% would only compensate the shipping, so I'd rather buy at my b&m.
ReplyDeleteHi JCAs: this is completely OT but I was wondering if you could comment on the sizing at Talbots and how it compares to JC. I only have the option of online shopping with them. I am normally a petite 0 at JC. Just wondering how Talbots' sizing compares...
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am passing on this promotion, I am one who has a closet bursting with shorts! :)
ReplyDeleteLet's say I love shorts like some of you love pencil skirts.
