A big "thanks!" goes to Anon at 3:46 PM (in this post) who let us know that she found several pairs of J.Crew shoes at her local T.J. Maxx (in Peabody, MA). She found shoes ranging from heels to sandals, from the current season, all for less than $19.99- what a deal!
At first, I thought that this was some random good luck for the Massachusetts residents, however...
"Thanks!" to Sarah R, Smarty, & Em (in this post) who let us know that their local T.J. Maxx stores (including one in Apex, NC) also carry several J.Crew shoes, from the current season, for less than $19.99 each! Smarty mentioned that her store even had "an entire rack of special occasion dresses!".
Also "thanks!" to Anon at 2:13 PM (in this post) who let us know that she saw several pairs of J.Crew's Hunter "Fiesta" boots at a Marshall's (in Aurora, IL).
So maybe, just maybe, your local T.J. Maxx is carrying some deep discounted J.Crew items from the current season. :) If you are stopping by a T.J. Maxx to see if there are any J.Crew items, perhaps you would be willing to share with us in this post?
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting whether or not your local T.J. Maxx stores have J.Crew items, which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
P.S.S. I find it very interesting that the prices (for new & current J.Crew items) at T.J. Maxx are better than the prices (for not-new and non-current J.Crew items) found at J.Crew's Sample Sale in NYC. ;)
im heading out to my cambridge store. i just called ahead and she said they had stuff. so if i find any goods they'll be on the weekly exchange for you ladies! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is sweet. If ANYONE finds a pair of size 10 gold sandals, like those kitten heel ones or high heel ones... strappy ones... I will buy them from you for what you paid plus shipping! I have seen them but they weren't my size. Thanks a ton!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I just got my Penelope Mary Janes that I ordered on Saturday, and they came with a dust bag in the shoebox. I've never seen this before... But thanks JCrew!

ReplyDeleteDoes it seem like only East Coast area stores???
ReplyDeleteI'll be heading to TJMAXX (SF) to find out more about this. Also...did anyone else get a Coupon card in their catalog? I didnt but @j0x0j tweeted that they did on Twitter. I'm Jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteI found a pair of metallic bronze leather espadrilles and brown patent leather mary jean style flats at my TJMaxx last night. There wasn't a ton to choose from ... some patents heels, but only in size 10+.
ReplyDeleteToday, I went to a different store and they had a bunch of Special Occasion/ Wedding dresses, but the only dress in a size 2 was a long, ivory silk gown, which I have no use for... I think it was a wedding down. Very plain with a v-neck in the front and back. All dresses were $19.99. This store didn't have any shoes. HTH
I tried downtown Indy :( No luck :(
ReplyDeleteAlso looking for size 10 penelope anythings... peep toes, flats, or mary janes! Just not the ugly green and yellow color. Anyone?
ReplyDeleteLindsay B... what kind of heels were they in 10+?
Anyone find J Crew at TJ Maxx in the DC area?
ReplyDeleteAshley at 2:41pm, did you mean Cambridge, MA?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if Marshalls has any? Or maybe the NYC TJ Maxx?
ReplyDeletei called the tj maxx in towson md and the girl had never heard of 'j. cruzz"
ReplyDeletemaybe i will still stop by and check it out anyways.
yeah Cambridge MA. and yes J im going to the fresh pond one.. the area is a bit shady so we'll see what there is....
ReplyDeletebe back in a bit :)
heading out to TJ's after work today
ReplyDeleteFound shoes in TJ in Atlanta. Pretty good selection. I was looking in 6 and saw a couple 6.5.
ReplyDeleteI bought a pair (not sure which style..am going to post a pic on my blog)
I went to a local TJ Maxx this morning and did not see any J.Crew :(
ReplyDeleteI found a few J Crew shirts at the Winston-Salem, NC TJs but no shoes or dresses; the Greensboro TJs had nada.
ReplyDeletewow, this must a first. I haven't heard of JCrew stuff at TJMaxx before. Too bad that they dont just offload these goods at rockbottom prices online. They could set up a "clearance center" online and get rid of these things at the prices they are selling to TJMaxx.
ReplyDeletePerhaps, they don't want to go lower than a certain price at their stores or online because of an image thing.
I wish I had time to scour local TJMaxx or Marshalls. Oh well!
I will check a few TJ's in Massachusetts today...maybe Marshall's and get back to you. Got my Matilda dress in and LOVE it...I'm 5'7" and 125 lbs...size 6 was perfect.
ReplyDeleteHas anybody been to the TJ Maxx/ Marshalls in San Diego?
ReplyDeleteAny Northern Virginia sightings?
ReplyDeleteNothing at TJ Maxx Chicago State Street. I will check again next week and will also look at my local suburban TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores this weekend. Would love to see some cute J Crew sandals for that price!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone spots size 11's - let me know!
ReplyDeleteoh thanks Ashley! I don't have a TJMaxx near me.
ReplyDeleteI wear an 8 if anyone is out there hunting and wants to help me out :)
Do you think Marshall's will have these deals?
Went to the TJ Maxx in Lawrence, KS, today. No J.Crew shoes.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm the original poster..for those in MA, I went to the TJMaxx in Saugus, Rowley and Peabody. Only the Peabody one had shoes and they were being scooped up pretty fast today. My store had a lot of Lulu peep toe heels. I also found a rack of special occasion dresses - nothing that interested me but if you are looking its worth a try. Please let me know if you find any at Marshalls or other TJs in MA. I'm willing to make the trip for such great deals.
4 years ago, I got a pair of pink suede loafers (not driving mocs-- these have real soles and structure + made in italy) for $9.99 (reg. $109, I think) at a TJ Maxx type store-- Gabriel Brothers, near the monroeville mall just outside of pittsburgh. What a steal! I still wear them.
ReplyDeleteNary a JC item in sight at my TJ's in downtown Cincinnati.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone finds size 11 women's shoes, particularly the plain midheels (Juliets) - please post this!
I'm curious as well about the TJ Maxx in NYC as well as Greenwich, CT. I bought a few J Crew items at the Greenwich store this summer. Let me know if anyone happens to be in the area!
ReplyDeletefor those asking about Northern VA/Washington D.C. - I found a bunch of shoes the other day at the Arlington/Alexandria (on the border) TJ Maxx at Potomac Green - I got a pair of gold leather flip flops for $15, and they had a bunch of gold Lucie high heel sandals for $19.99, as well as some weird ballet flats. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeletePS - let me know if anyone finds the special occasion dresses in the DC area!
I've also bought jackie shells and perfect tees for less than $10 at Rugged Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA (it's right near a TJ Maxx, actually).
ReplyDeleteOk ladies I'm BACK!
ReplyDeleteCambridge store had pretty much nothin.
BUT,
for you that wear 8 and 8 1/2 i snagged one pair of gold sling back flats with flowers on the top thats in a 8 1/2
and a pair of gold sandal type sling back kitten heels size 8.
i'll post pics on my blog right now.
so bummed nothing in my size or anything else. sorry ladies :(
OT - pearl cluster necklace now available online at target.com!
ReplyDeleteScored a pair of Liza peep toes in the blue/white print with yellow bow!
ReplyDeleteThis was in the Durham NC store - only about 10 pairs out on the counter. A few flats and a couple of heels in small sizes.
Didn't see any clothing.
I just posted under the original discussion thread on this, but I went to the Peabody store today and got 3 pairs of lulu heels in dark cloud and honey glaze, 2 pairs of fleur suede peep toe heels, and a pair of collection heels with the lollipop bow. All in size 5, 5.5, and 6.
ReplyDeleteThey had a lot of fleur suede peep toe heels, driving mocs, and many other styles and sizes I can't remember.
Thanks again to Anon at 3:43 for posting about this!! :)
I'm in Maryland and someone who doesn't have a clue about JCrew bought summer clothes and crewcuts from a Gabriel Brothers store a year ago.
ReplyDeleteSince these types of stores buy in bulk I'm sure they paid a lot less than a consumer buying at the sample sale.
Sucks to be us...I like my clothing anonymity but really don't want to look like I'm buying from the local discount stores! Boo JCrew! :(
anyone can report from TJMaxx in NYC??? Please....
ReplyDeleteanon did you pick up any extras from peabody? any more lulu flats left in a 6 over there?
ReplyDeletedo they have a ton of stuff there? im a little far from there. :(
If anyone is going to find lulu peep toes in size 7.5 in any color, I will absolutely buy them from you!
ReplyDeleteenv79 at hotmail.com
oh you gals are so lucky! please consider my size 6-6.5 feet when you are scouring for finds!
ReplyDeleteI already have a ton of espadrilles but could *always* use some $19.99 heels : ) ! will def pay you for troubles : )!
ashley- I'd love to talk to you about the size 8's
ReplyDeleteand I posted on the orig thread last night but if you see size 6.5 YELLOW LULU flats I would be foreful grateful!!
ReplyDeletejcrewadorer: i put the pic on my blog. email me :)
ReplyDeletesbash123@yahoo.com
I also would totally buy any peep toe shoes...any style at a size 6 or 6.5 too!
ReplyDeleteto anon at 4:03 - I saw you at the Peabody store...I told you where the special occasion dresses were!! You got some GREAT shoes!! I loved the ones with the lollipop bow - just not my size :)
ReplyDeleteI'll stop by the downtown Boston store on my way home and report back if they have anything. I actually went to Marshall's at lunch and didn't see any J Crew (although I did buy a pair of cute Tahari flats for $40).
ReplyDeleteI think I'll go to the Potomac Yard (Alexandria, VA) store today and will report back!
ReplyDeleteAshley: YGM!
ReplyDeleteI have never been one to think outside the box when it comes to putting outfits together. what kinda outfits do you wear gold flat with?
ReplyDeleteSCORE!!! I just came from the Tyson's Corner, Virginia TJ Maxx (DC Area) and found the following: Cristobal metallic sandals, Fleur D'Orsays (in blue rose print), patent peep-toe Mary Janes (black), tumbled leather driving Mocs (brown), Linen peep-toe Mary Janes (bright yellow). I am floored. All were $19.99! There were other random pairs of things -- jelly flats, Lucie heels (gold metallic), kitten heels (metallic) but honestly, I took alot of what was there. Just so happened to be in my size...I almost felt like I was stealing. THANKS for the heads-up on this! Now my mission is to see how many TJ Maxx's I can hit up before the weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of all you NOVA ladies who can go to these places and look for wonderful buys...I am stuck in parent-teacher conferences until late.
ReplyDeleteHave fun for me!
Dina, I was planning to pass by a TJMaxx near me. If I find anything, what size are you? I think I'll be seeing you next week at the movie date we've all planned. :)
ReplyDeleteAshley - I didn't see any lulu flats, only heels. I did see a pair of serengeti ballet flats in size 6.
ReplyDeleteYes, they did have a really good selection (as of this morning at least). I actually had to put a lot back and settled on "only" 6 pairs.
I've been desperately looking for lulu heels in 5.5 and was outraged by the prices on ebay. Couldn't believe my luck that TJX had them in my size and in the color I wanted!!
Anon that scored lulu heals... did they have any in 7.5? If they did, could you please (and trust me I WILL beg for these :) ) pick them up for me? I will absolutely pay you! my email is env79 at hotmail dot com.
ReplyDeleteanon do you think u can get me those serengeti flats? i'll totally pay you!!!!! :) TIA!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am looking for flats---- size 8
ReplyDeleteTIA!
Hi anon at 4:16! Thanks for the tip on the dresses, didn't find anything I liked but I do love my new shoes! I'm wearing the lulu heels right now (can't help it, I do love them). I hope you got the lulus in tulip...I'm so jealous. :) They didn't have them in my size or I would have snatched them up, too!
ReplyDeleteDrewablank...you are so sweet! I wear a size ten shoe, and I love colorful shoes. I have actually been hankering for a pink or red flat lately...or any flat in pretty colors. If you do grab something and it doesn't work, I could always put it up in the weekly exchange!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about the movie night!
I'm a size 10 and TJ Maxx never has my size, but I'm going to look tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteJ.Crew Ador...
ReplyDeleteGold is a neutral. It will go with just about anything.
Anon who scored the Lulu's...Congrats! I would love (LOVE) some too- heels or flats..or any cute flats for that matter in a 7.5 or 8. i would definitely pay you for your trouble. Those prices are crazy! julesclover(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteTY anon at 4:52
ReplyDeleteashley - do you still the shoes? I'd be very very interested! I wanted those so badly over the summer but they were still $150...
ReplyDeleteAshley - I probably can't make it back to the store until tomorrow afternoon, but if they are still there, I will absolutely get them for you.
ReplyDeleteLadies - I would be happy to send out up to 5 pairs of shoes but no more than that because the ladies there probably already think I'm crazy (or worse, an ebay reseller). Ashley counts as 1, so only 4 more please. MA has no tax, so it's $19.99 plus cost of shipping.
You'll have to bear with me, because I don't have much experience with the paypal. If I find the shoes you want, I'll try to have paypal figured out and send the shoes some time next week.
If you include your email here, I can send you a picture with my iphone before I buy them.
Thanks anon you are the BEST!!! :) Paypal is super easy to use so if you need help i am here! (PS: if the serengeti's aren't there just grab ANY size 6 flats)
ReplyDeleteYou can always contact me through my blog if you need. But here's my email.
sbash123@yahoo.com
THANKS A MILLION :)
Also if anyone else sees the Flora shoes (from the summer) or any of the Penelope shoes in a size 8.5 please let me know! I would love to buy them from you! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteanon @ 4:46
ReplyDeleteSize 8 flats
sharkbait8574@yahoo.com
jcrew has been unwilling to lower their shoe prices as much as they are willing to lower their clothes price. Why couldn't they just sale them online?
ReplyDeleteI'm dog sick physically with like whooping cough or some grody thing, now I'm dog sick that I can't get out and chase JC at TJ's and Marshall's. BOO HOO! Anyone in the Ann Arbor, MI area done any scouting yet? TIA, big time!
ReplyDeletesorry the gold 8 flower flats are sold.
ReplyDeleteadorer: did you still want the sandal kitten heels email me back thanks!
Anon at 4:56 PM.
ReplyDeleteI am the one who already asked you about lulu heels in size 7.5. I would take ANY color, but my preferences are: burnt sienna, dark cloud, yellow, tulip - in that order since I understand you can't buy them all even though I want them all.
My email is env79 at hotmail.com
I will be forever grateful!
Thanks!
I would also take any Lulu shoes (heels or flats) in an 8.5! Or pretty much any other ones for that matter. My email is lolalovesfrank@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I just got back from my TJMaxx (Georgia) and got a pair of Safari Juliet Midheels for 19.99! I also got a silk 3/4 sleeve print shirt (I think it's from last summer) for 9.99!
ReplyDeleteI love this blog :)
Sure! And if they don't work out for m, I can always put them up on the Weekly Exchange. Although, I've had no luck with it yet :(
ReplyDeleteAnon 4:56 PM - I'd also love to see if you have found anything in either a 6 or 6.5! You can email me at: erine14 at clearwire.net
ReplyDeleteThanks!
oh please anon or anyone else pick me up some LuLu's or anything?!!! Size 9!!! please pretty please lol. I'm blogger Tina. I'll pay your gas spent to go and what you paid for the shoes as well as shipping.
ReplyDeleteernestina.otoba@gmail.com
TIA!
I don't think J Crew made it out to the West Coast :( Called the local TJ Maxx and Marshals in the Bay Area - no luck.
ReplyDeleteAnyone tried a TJmaxx or Marshalls in NYC? There is a huge TJmaxx on 18th and 6th avenue....any reports?
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to thank profusely the person who 1st posted about this find. I went to my local TJ Maxx, honestly not expecting to find anything, and came away with:
ReplyDelete-Cristobal metallic flat sandals in silver ($19.99)
-City suede ballet flats in chocolate ($19.99)
I just called my TJ Maxx at Buckhead Loop in Atlanta ...they don't have shoes, but they did say they have blouses and pants, so maybe other stores do, as well!
ReplyDeleteashley - can you elaborate on the "nothing" at fresh pond? I wear 8.5-9 shoes... and I wanted to stop there on the way home tonight - is it worth it? Or did you already clean them out? please let me know - and thanls for the info already!
ReplyDeletethanks for posting about the bay area! you saved me a lot of travel time!
ReplyDeletere: the bay area -- I'm in the East Bay, so I called stores in this area. You might want to try the Pennisula and/or city?
ReplyDeleteYou girls frighten me. Don't you work? Or have a life than obsessing about $19.99 J.Crew shoes at TJmaxx?
ReplyDeleteAnon at 4:56,
ReplyDeleteThis is Anon at 4:54. If you do make it back to TJ Maxx, I would LOVE any Juliet's or Lulu's in 7.5 or 8. I would actually love pretty much anything. julesclover(at)yahoo(dot)com
I'm calling my TJ Maxx right now. What are the chances that Tulsa's has shoes? (probably slim to none...we'll see)
Juliet or Lulus in 7.5 at TJMaxx? You must be out of your sodden minds!
ReplyDeleteI called the TJ Maxx on Clairemont in San Diego and the SA told me they didn't get a shipment in from them recently. I guess it's an east coast thing :(
ReplyDeleteanon 5:36: Comments like that frighten me too...people have become so rude!
ReplyDeleteNothing in Tulsa..
ReplyDelete:(
IF TJ Maxx is selling these shoes for 19.99, imagine how much they must have paid JC for them...like $10? That shows how much JC's markup is and why none of their shoes are worth the ridiculous $200+ they try to get for them!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad I returned my juliet safari heels that I got (on sale even) for $100 when someone here got them for 19.99.
If I can I will stop by the NYC TJ Maxx after work and report back.
well i checked my local TJMaxx in CT and nothing... called around to 3 others and they said nothing either. in fact one girl said "what's jcrew?" . i also checked out marshalls, but no luck either... sounds like people are finding some sweet finds though!
ReplyDeleteAnon 5:36 PM: Who are you to call anyone out? Some people may already be off work, some people may not be at work yet or others may not have a job because their spouse supports them. What's it to you? I find that a very condescending thing to say.
ReplyDeleteLOL@Someone asking during a horrible recession where millions have lost their jobs asking "Don't you work?"
ReplyDeleteEchoing what someone said earlier, why doesn't JC just lower their prices online? It makes no sense to me that they're selling Juliets and Lulus to TJ Maxx for pennies when they could just restock online and bring the price down and I'm sure they'd sell!
ReplyDeleteI'd buy a pair of 7 or 7.5 Lulus from someone (also in any color) if you come across them. I think I'm like the third person posting for this size, but hell, a girl can dream....
Happy shopping!
Anon at 5:36--Reer. If you don't like it, don't read the blog or don't read the comments. Some of us work very hard and like to reward ourselves with shoes. :P
ReplyDelete**If anybody can pick up any heels in 8.5 in a neutral-ish color, I'll reimburse you for everything and add a little extra! :)**
BTW, does anybody else think that J. Crew may be shooting themselves in the foot by selling to TJ Maxx instead of keeping sales limited to their own website? I am wondering now how many JCA ladies are going to take a chance and hold out for J. Crew shoes to hit the discounters now.....
If you are conscious or alive to know there's a recession, why spend money on clothes and shoes? If a comment is rude, it shows that it hit the right spot.
ReplyDeleteChecked in a Seattle area store and nothing J. Crew.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to everyone finding such deals!
I'd love any Juliet heels in 7.5 if you find any you'd like to sell. realbrilliant@mac.com
Thank you!
Trish
It's a scam! There are no J.Crew shoes at TJMaxx! Now you know how easily you get duped.
ReplyDeleteStupid people make me cranky and all these Anon comments about a recession and "there are no J Crew shoes at TJ Maxx" are stupid. Yes, there is a recession, but clearly it's not affecting everyone. And it's my money, so shut up about the way I spend it.
ReplyDeleteAnon 5:57 PM: I think your point is exactly why everyone is excited about this. They're saving money and not spending nearly as much. Duh.
ReplyDeleteAnon 530
ReplyDeleteI checked the shoes and I took the 2 I saw. They might put more tomorrow. Didn't check the clothes so you might have luck there. Couldn't find jewelry.
Anon 5:57 PM: I think your point is exactly why everyone is excited about this. They're saving money and not spending nearly as much. Duh.
ReplyDeleteA big thank you to everyone who has been reporting back- it really is super nice of you! :)
ReplyDeleteCranky: Shows what you know, the recession is effecting everyone look who is losing their jobs people in all industries. Reread your nasty comments and give your head a shake at the same time maybe you will wake up and be a little nicer.
ReplyDeleteHello all. I work for J.Crew and I can tell you we don't sell our shoes to TJMaxx. It certainly rings even falser when people post about finding relatively new items like the Lulu and Juliet at T.J. Maxx. It does not make any sense for us to sell our shoes to TJMaxx to sell for $19.99. You may contact us at contactus@jcrew or call our Customer Service for further verification but I believe there's a prankster at work here.
ReplyDeleteIf it's true that J.Crew shoes can be bought for $19.99 at T.J. Maxx, surely ebay would be flooded with listings of dirt-cheap J.Crew shoes.
jcbellemarie -
ReplyDeleteEmail me about your lulus. ;)
sarahm_craig@yahoo.com
i checked a few T.J.Maxx and Marshalls in the Hartford, CT area. No luck. I had previously found some stray JC items at these stores at VERY low prices even by TJ standards (e.g. shirt dress for $14.99).
ReplyDeleteanon 5:57: Duh The comment was not rude the person who made the comment was rude silly goose!
ReplyDeletemagdalena... you probably checked the same stores i did :)
ReplyDeleteif anyone comes across lulus in a 9.5 i'd love em and obviously would pay... email me starla729 at yahoo dot com
Being a silly goose is better than a silly bimbo, no?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Can we keep the comments to the topic at hand? I hate reading comments that attack one another. The majority of the comments here are helpful, let's try to keep it that way. :)
ReplyDeleteHi All!
ReplyDeleteMore stores to report on - all in the Raleigh metro area.
Not sure where all of the "this is a joke" stuff is coming from - one pair I purchased today has the J. Crew tag with the style # and price on the bottom of the sole.
Anyhoo, no shoes at the Brier Creek Raleigh store or the Cary Towne Center store. Went to Durham over lunch and there were:
City Suede flats, 9.5
Some ankle espadrilles, yellow and pink, sz 9
Liv flats in green, 8
A sort of safari print patent flip-flop, I think 6?
City metallic flats in gold, 8.5
City Patent in yellow, size ?
Cristobal flats, silver, 10
A pair of Liza's which I think someone here got!
That's what I remember, anyway. Also went to the Apex store again and they have added more, including:
LOTS of sandals, mostly 8
Lulu peep toes in yellow, smaller like 5.5 or 6
Lucie (I think) royal blue suede dorsay heels, 10
Lucaya Espadrilles, green, 10
Patent peep toe mary janes, black, 9
Lizzie patent driving mocs, blue, 10
...and others I can't remember! I scored some spectator peep toes in graphite (yay!). I would go back in tomorrow to see if they add more, but can't. :(
Sorry for the long post! Hope you find many treasures!
Sarah R: if you do find a way to make it tomorrow, I would reimburse you for any size 8's you could find. I have no TJMAXX near me and our Marshalls did not get a shipment :(
ReplyDeleteAnonymous at 4:03pm - did you store have any Lulus or other heels in 9.5? If yes please could you pick up a pair or two for me? I will paypal and pay for the shiping of course. I am looking for lulus in pink and dark cloud. Thank you! email viktoriyasd at yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteNYC 6th Avenue store has nothing!
ReplyDeleteAshley--did you happen to notice if there were any heels in size 7.5 or 8? thanks!
ReplyDeleteUpdate on San Diego: nothing at Balboa or El Cajon stores. If you see anything at other Marshalls or TJ Maxx please post here. I am looking for driving mocks and flip flops in 9 and 7. Also for heels in 9.5, 7 or 6.5. Email viktoriyasd at yahoo. com
ReplyDeleteYou can put it on hold until the end of the day for Victoria and I will pick it up. I will do the same for you if I find anything. Just email me.
I checked my local TJ Maxx in middle GA and they had nothing. Didn't stop me from picking up 3 other pairs of cute shoes thought! LOL
ReplyDeleteNothing in Texas, at least not in S.A. I wear a 7.5 and would be happy to pay for some lulu's!!
ReplyDeleteSara R, thanks for the report!
ReplyDeleteWould you mind picking up the lulu peeptoe in 5.5 or 6 for me? I will absolutly pay you!
Big thanks!
Jia -
ReplyDeleteI wish I could! I am dying to go back, but have to head out of town in the morning for the weekend. :(
If I can pop in early next week I will certainly keep my eye out for them...
I love how we are all stampeding to our nearest TJ Maxx! Myself included! Ahh, what we do for fashion! :)
ReplyDeleteI just went to the Daly City Westlake one today(SF Bay area) and no luck! If anyone goes to the San Mateo one, let me know.
So nice the way you all help each other out!
ReplyDeleteI'm always seeking lulu heels, 7.5, if there are any dregs!
Ladies, if I see any Lulu's flats or heels I will put them all on hold for us and will ship them to those who want them. I will keep everybody posted.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Sara R!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone else score a lulu peeptoe in size 5.5 or 6 at TJMaxx, please let me know.
You can email me at my yahoo email. The account is aquajinse
Woooo this is so fun! I feel like a shark, and somebody just chummed the water! (:
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the help everyone!
Like many of the other girls, I'm a 6.5 if anyone has any extra goodies in my size
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen any jcrew jelly shoes at their TJ Maxx? I wear a 7.5 or 8...... Has anyone been to any of the Southern california stores? I stopped at the Chino Hills store, but no luck :(
ReplyDeleteI went to a TJX here in tucson and no shoes, no dresses, nothing.
ReplyDeleteI guess it is only on the east coast.
I also wanted to add that outside the store were parked as BMW SUV, a Cadiallac Escalade, and several Lexus SUVs. I felt very downmarket in my Kia Sorrento.
ReplyDeleteI guess for the commenter who wold not want people to know she shops at TJX...well, color me surprised at the people who were there.
Anon 5:36: Ummm...you're reading this blog,too. Don't YOU work?
ReplyDeletePot or kettle? Oh, it doesn't matter, they're both black.
Trish - Which Seattle area TJ's did you check? I went to the Factoria one today and nothing. I am going to try the Tacoma store soon.
ReplyDeleteI reside in a TJ-Maxx-less area!! Please, if someone wants to scope out the size 6 shoes, I'll pay an extra $10 per pair of shoes you get and for the shipping too (obviously). I am interested in heels, especially the peep toe mary janes, and the cristobal flats! (but if there's more, I don't mind buying in bulk...)
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance =D
chyleung@gmail.com
Anyone see any at the TJ Maxx in Michigan?
ReplyDeleteTonight I found a pair of Lizzie driving mocs at a Nashville TJ Maxx. I tried them on, and I'm soooo glad I didn't get a pair on the final sale. Flimsy!
ReplyDeleteSorry to be a rabid poster, but I just opened up my e-mail and now Anthro is promoting frugal shopping. Of course, their frugal picks were way out of most people's price range.
ReplyDeleteThese times, they are a crazy.
I am writing about it for my blog, I find this so interesting. Makes me wish I worked for NPR so I could so a piece on this "frugal" trend.
Went to the T J Maxx in Los Colinas, Dallas, & Southlake, Texas and found no shoes but I did find the boyfriend a cute J Crew tie with sailboats for a $2.99 so all was not a lost. I suspect that we might see more J Crew items trickle slowly into the T J Maxx.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that a few of us are finding the goodies at such great prices at TJMaxx.
ReplyDeleteBut why is JCrew selling through TJMaxx when they have such dedicated buyers like us who would pay much higher prices at B&Ms and online?
They didn't even offer prices like this at their sample sale. Don't understand the logic behind dumping their shoes, etc through TJMaxx when they their sale supply is so limited online.
omg just called ann arbor mi store and she said they only have the shoes so far, but that is enough to make me go up there!!
ReplyDeleteI will see what they have and possibly buy extra pairs if you girls might buy them off of me. I will probably add like 10$ or whatever for shipping. I will see how the selection is and report back. Wish me luck!!
Dina and to those in Alexandria, VA: The local TJMaxx near Manchester Lakes have no J.Crew items whatsoever. Sorry. :(
ReplyDeleteWell said Sproutina, well said.
ReplyDeleteIf any of the anonymous people don't have anything nice to say about the rest of us, then take your own advice and get a life and leave us alone.
Now, I don't doubt that J. Crew isn't selling to TJ Maxx, but the shoes are there none the less. In fact, the TJ Maxx near me sells first run Ralph Lauren, that is, the clothes currently in the department stores.
Drewablank:
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for looking. If I don't catch what my son had (some awful virus), I will go searching myself. I will probably pick up extra of everything in different sizes if I see anything at all!
Drewablank, go ahead and give me your size and I will see what I can do!
I checked my local TJ Maxx and no JC. :( I will try to make it to the downtown TJM in hopes that they have something. In the meantime, I would love a lulu, any style & any color, in a 6.5. TIA
ReplyDeleteI called the TJ Maxx in Allen and Frisco (Texas) last night-nothing. BUT, the guy told me that they get shipments every M-W-F.
ReplyDeleteI just got back from my B&M (carmel/indianapolis) and they did NOT have an extra 30% off sale! I couldn't believe my eyes! Has anyone else found this? Maybe they are gearing up for a big president's day sale? (I hope!)
ReplyDeleteif anyone sees a pair of gold lucie kitten heels in 7.5, i'll buy them from you.
ReplyDeletemo AT iwon DOT com
Christina G - I'd totally pay extra if you found any size 6 or 6.5. Especially heels! :o) Let us know what you find.
ReplyDeleteNone at Concord Mills in NC.
ReplyDeleteI apologize in advance that I don't know the style names of anything, apparently I have a horrible memory for that. The Downtown Boston TJ Maxx had some J Crew stuff. Only a few pairs of shoes, I checked all sizes and they had about 7 pairs in all: size 10 yellow suede flats, turquoise pumps, patent green t-strap flat sandals, 9 blue patent flats, 7 black patent Mary-Janes, and green strappy sandals. There was one pair of each. All $19.99.
ReplyDeleteThere was an unmarked rack of women's clothing. Probably 30 pieces in all. Frankly it looked like a really picked over sale section. A few occasion dresses, brown or black but nothing special, lots of random shorts either in 6 or 12, random x-small polo shirts, a couple of Jessie (I think) shirts, a couple of navy henleys. There was one xs Elizabeth halter in white that had some discoloration on the front and one dream tie cardigan in M that that had one tie coming unstitched. Shirts $9.99 including the Elizabeth, shorts $12.99 (I think) and dresses $19.99. Most still had the J Crew tags attached and the prices were unmarked like they are with online purchases so it leads me to think it's super old catalog merchandise and returns.
I left empty handed. The size 9 blue patent flats were truly too small and even for $19.99 I wouldn't do that to my feet.
It looked like they were putting J Crew stuff back on the regular racks not the J Crew rack so if you go I'd plan to look around.
I just went to the TJ Maxx in Chevy Chase/Washington DC and there were no J. Crew items - shoes or clothes.
ReplyDeleteAnneG - when you were at Tyson's what size did they have?
Nothing in Houston (after searching 4 different locations!). But I'm still thankful for the heads up and glad I tried!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I've been trying to find the cloud lulus in 11. Ok anything in 11 except rubber flip flops. Doggone these freakin' big feet. I think I'm going to cry now. Why oh why couldn't I have normal clodhoppers.
ReplyDeleteSarah H, I checked the Federal Way store. Let me know if you find anything at the Tacoma store! I don't think the stuff got out as far as us!
ReplyDeleteTrish
Hello! I am happy to report taht Tyson's store did have some J crew shoes ( not nmamny). My friend is there as we speak and she send me a pic of what's there. It's on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI, however, did not find a trace of J Crew shoes at both TJ and Marshalls ( Rockville area).
On one hand, J Crew shoes and TJ Maxx are NOT a myth. On other hand, not everyone is going to be lucky scoring a deal. Most likely we'll see an influx of merhcandise in Ebay soon.
Just got back from the TJ Maxx in Raleigh (at Northridge). No J Crew shoes, but I scored big time in dresses.
ReplyDeleteAnyone following my blog knows I've been wanting the cotton cady Lydia dress. I found it in black for $19.99. Interestingly, this dress is still full price on the web (90722).
Also, 2 Sophia short dresses (62983)--get this, 1 was $19.99 and the other $9.99. For anyone in the area, unless you're a petitie or like purple or citron, I wouldn't bother. There are probably < 10 dresses left. I did scope the store and did not see anything else J Crew.
Also curious was the fact that there was NO attempt to hide the fact that this was J CRew. The labels were not crossed out, and as you can tell, the item numbers were left attached. There was even a tag telling the customer that this was a special occasion dress and that the tag should not be removed until purchased.
Compare this with the AE clothes that had their label blackened out and were under a sign that said somthing like "mall clothes".
I'm absolutely shocked and happy. I love this blog and the jCAs who shared this discovery! Thank you!
I'm so sad that I don't have a TJ Maxx by me! If anyone is willing to help me buy a pair of size 7 flats of any jcrew style, in silver, gold, black, brown or any neutral, I will pay for shipping plus extra for the effort!
ReplyDeleteemail : shop316@gmail.com
TIA
For those interested in NYC TJ Maxx locations I checked out the one in College Point, Queens and nothing. In fact when I asked the shoe department sales person he just looked at me quizzically... Which bites for me since I don't own any J Crew shoes- can't wrap me head around the "gorgeous design- uncomfortable feel= insanely expensive" equation.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Does anyone know if the Jane crackle-metallic ballet flats stretch out? I am normally a 6.5, but these kinda feel tight. If they stretch, I will keep them but if not I have to exchange them for a size 7. If you know then please help! =)
ReplyDelete-Monica
Update: I just got back from the ann arbor mi store and I got 10 pairs. I am going to take pictures and put a link up here with prices and everything.
ReplyDeleteThanks to everybody for being so helpful and making announcements about J.Crew at TJ maxx!!!
I love this blog.
Christina- Do you mean you are selling some? If so, I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI will check my store tomorrow but I'm sure they won't have anything good
Wow, congrats on all the great scores everyone! I went to the Chelsea NYC TJ Maxx after work but there was no J.Crew to be found. Which is probably good news for my wallet. I wonder if they sell to a different discounter in the city, like Loehmann's or something.
ReplyDeleteI just want to give a big cheer to all those who are spending - it's the only way to dig ourselves out of the recession. I mean this sincerely. When people *don't* spend, a recession gets worse. When people spend - when people stimulate the economy - that's what helps.
ReplyDeleteChristina G, any luck on lulu heels in 7.5?
ReplyDeleteTo my Chicago ladies: I just called the Oakbrook, IL TJ Maxx and they said they JUST received J.Crew shoes. None in my size (9). Everything is 8.5 and down. Back to the store finder list for me!
ReplyDeleteMy local stores- Towson, MD and Bel Air, MD had nothing.
ReplyDelete(Interestingly, I did purchase a J Crew Vivian wedding dress at Gabriel Brothers about 2 years ago for $20. It's too big now to wear when I get married.)
I'd love to get any flats in an 8.5. I'd gladly pay!
My email is redhed_01 at hotmail dot com
I searched TJ Maxx's around the West Hartford area...the only one that had an ok selection was the one all the way out in Vernon (I noticed a lot of Juliet's). Too bad there was nothing in my size.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone sees a pair of Flora's in size 5.5, please let me know. Thanks!
The Palatine, IL TJ Maxx has "J. Cruise slippers" according to the associate. I asked what that meant and she clarified with "you know, flip flop kind, but open?" Not sure what exactly this entails, but I'm guessing that means no Juliets in Palatine! :)
ReplyDeleteOooo! D, do you happen to recall sizes in the Juliet's? TIA!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is crazy. I'm still in shock that TJ Maxx has J Crew items. I feel betrayed! I spent almost full price on my Lulus and Juliet heels!
ReplyDeleteStill busy calling stores in the Chicago suburbs in search of Juliet's. Oh Juliet, where art thou??! The Deerfield, IL store has flats and sandals in size 9, 9.5 and 10. No heels.
ReplyDeletewonder why jcrew didn't sell those shoes to Loehmann's. That would make jcrew look better.
ReplyDeleteeconomist - true... spending will _help_ dig us out of the recession. BUT, as a society, spending beyond our means is what got us into this economic trouble in the first place. It's OK to spend if you want or need something, but I hope nobody is going into debt for J Crew!
ReplyDeleteOn a lighter note, thanks Boston Brit for the update!
Anon @ 9:31 - I know I definitely saw a tan pair in 11, a yellow pair in a 6 1/2...and I think they had some in size 9 and 7 (may have been half sizes but I cannot remember). I definitely saw a teal pair but didn't catch the size.
ReplyDeleteI just remember being bummed that there was nothing in the 5 1/2 section
The Chicago store on Irving Park Rd. doesn't have any JC.
ReplyDeleteDear J.Crew employee @ 6:05 PM
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for heading up! I have a question regarding J.Crew items sold on Ebay.
Some people sell J.Crew *NEW* items right after J.Crew uploads those new stuff. Given that they sell items in same colors and same sizes, I think they are not individual sellers.
(1) How they get those J.Crew items which should be only available at J.Crew stores or online? Are they defective items which J.Crew can not sell officially and J.Crew sell defective items to them at discount? Or are they copies?
(2) Is it Ok to buy from them? They sell those items at a discount even though they are new items, which don’t make any sense for me. If they are defective items or copies, I would not buy from them.
I’d really appreciate if you would kindly share information to protect your customers. TIA!!!
Christina G: Did you go to the Ann Arbor (Stadium) or Ypsi (Carpenter Road) store? I was at the Ann Arbor TJ Maxx at about 7 p.m. and there were only three pairs of J.Crew shoes. One pair of flip flops; pair of size 7 D'Orsays from last summer (looked a little faded and tired to me) and a pair of size 10 red mary janes from last holiday. I was wondering if I should bother to make a trip over there. Carpenter Road has always had the better shoe department; they used to get Kate Spade samples on a semi-regular basis.
ReplyDeletewell yes, other econ, and I didn't advocate over-spending. I just found an earlier comment calling out the people here for wanting to shop very offensive. Just because people enjoy shopping & talking about it on a blog doesn't equate that they're overspending.
ReplyDeleteAbout calling stores... be careful if they tell you they don't have any or don't know what JCrew is... I mean... the person you're talking to just might not be as fashionably sensible as we JCAs! haha! I would want to see for myself if the store was close enough to just go over and take a look.
ReplyDeleteAnyway I am going to a minimum of 5 TJ Maxxs tomorrow and I have written down what people are wanting so if I see any I will pick up whatever I can find! I got some last week at TJs by me but it wasn't anything too exciting. I noticed someone listed a pair of Penelope Peep toes in my size on ebay for $99.99 and said right in the auction that they got them at a "discount retail store". So I am holding out hope that there is another pair out there somewhere at one of the TJs in my area for $19.99! I refuse to pay $100 to someone when I know damn well they got them for $19.99. I love selling on ebay but I always start my auctions low and let people decide what they want to pay. But hey to each his own! And I'm sure someone will pay $99.99
i agree Em - stopping in is the only sure bet to check... i'll be doing that this weekend too even though i called. me and a few others called and some of the people answering the phone didn't know what Jcrew was! something we all can't fathom! haha. anyway, i think it's fun that we've all joined in this TJMaxx frenzy and are helping each other out. i'm glad others love a good bargain like myself!!
ReplyDeleteI already buy a ton of my clothes at TJ maxx.. and the rest at Jcrew... so this is like heaven!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay sorry for the delay. In response to questions...I went to the ann arbor store on stadium and I found 10 pairs, that was around 8:00pm. We must have just missed each other! I am surprised that there were only 3 out when you were there. That is pretty strange!
ReplyDeleteAnyways. I am almost done getting my pictures and descriptions up to sell on here or ebay. In all honesty I haven't decided if I am going to charge up very much or not. I wouldn't charge more than j.crew website though thats for sure!
The Red patent-leather mary janes are a size 9 though, not 10. Otherwise I would be keeping them.
I'll post the stuff very soon though with my email.
Em or anyone else shopping tomorrow- I'm looking for sz 6.5 and 7 Lulus (heels and flats) and Juliets. Any color except yellow.
ReplyDeleteMy #1 wanted item is 6.5 dark cloud lulu pump
TIA!
No J.Crew in Highland Village, TX. I did, however, find a ton of Lancome makeup!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the deal with people commenting that "there are definitely NOT J. Crew shoes at TJ Maxx" when several of us, including myself, have actually just purchased J. Crew shoes at TJ Maxx?!? Really?! So we're all liars? Huh.
ReplyDeleteIt just seems like maybe these negative people are mad for missing out.
I'm acutally upset I didn't know about it sooner b/c maybe I would have been able to find more in my size!! Anyway... just my two cents.
True, I know I *should* go to the stores and check myself, but it's sooooo cold here! It was a whopping ONE DEGREE when I woke up this morning. Brrr. You don't even want to hear what it was with the wind chill factor. So if the stores tell me they don't have "J.Cruise," I will breathe a sigh of relief over not having to brave the bitter cold and know that I *tried.* :) And really, who am I kiddding? I don't need any more shoes! I actually bought a pair of Cole Haan Margot pumps that are a good enough alternative to the Juliet's. Added bonus, they're comfy! Must keep repeating that to myself... I don't need more shoes, I don't need more shoes...
ReplyDeleteoh "J. Cruise"... that one cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone finds juliets or lulu heels, any colour in an 8 and is willing to ship to Canada, I'd love to buy them!
ReplyDelete- Chelsea

I think you all are misunderstanding how TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Filenes function. They often do not buy from the retailer - in this case J. Crew. They would purchase from the manufacturer. What often happens is that an order is placed for a certain number of items and then a change takes place. My guess in this case is that TJ Maxx purchased these shoes from the manufacturer of J. Crew shoes. The economy and changes in ordering patterns could have caused them to over-produce for orders that did not come in or were reduced. That is why most tags are usually blacked out at these stores. The manuafacturer does not have the authority to sell the merchandise with the "brand name." SA at 6:05 is right. It would be very unusual for J. Crew to sell these shoes to TJ Maxx. That said, stranger things have happened. If J. Crew did do this, they are certainly moving quickly to stem losses in a tough economy. I applaud that kind of decisive action. Sorry so long.
ReplyDeleteHeather G, try the TJ Maxx at Perimeter or around Lenox. They usually get better shipments and more high end items. You may have some luck there!
ReplyDeleteAshley's awesome! I just bought J.Crew sandals from her super quickly and fun. :D
ReplyDeleteThe weird thing though, is that I have one pair I got a few days ago at TJs that has a sticker on the bottom that they put on the display shoes in stores... with the style, size, and everything written on them. And it looks a little shopworn! So weird!
ReplyDeleteA little tip (I hope). I once one a J Crew item off of ebay and it had a Gabriel Brothers tag attached. I went to their website and they do not have any in my area. However, I did notice they had some in Virginia (J Crew's main distribution center). Maybe those of you that live near a Gabriel Brothers should check them out to see if they have any items..Good luck!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Lee :) YOU are awesome!
ReplyDelete@ Anon 10:39
ReplyDeleteGreat post! And very informative...thanks!
I do not think TJ Maxx bought those shoes or clothes from manufacturers of jcrew clothes. They have contracts with jcrew. They only sell clothes/shoes made for jcrew to jcrew. It has to be a decision made by Jcrew.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't a surprise that jcrew shoes are sold at 19.99 or 9.99. I saw some nice jcrew shoes sold at ebay at these prices by some ebay sellers for years. Sometimes, the clearance store also sells shoes at these prices. Just it is a myth to me that jcrew.com seems to refuse to offer better discounts on most shoe styles.
Anon @ 10:39 p.m.--I feel pretty certain that J.Crew sold these shoes to TJ Maxx to reduce their inventory. Perhaps the sale to TJ's is the reason there were so few shoes reported at the NYC sample sale.
ReplyDeleteChristina G.: Were the shoes in large sizes only? I was in there no later than 7 p.m. and really only saw three pairs. (Thanks for correcting me on the size of the MJs.) Though I did not check sizes above an 8. I usually wear a 6 and checked some larger sizes out of curiosity.
I stopped by my local T.J. Maxx today in SoCal and there were no shoes, just clothes. There were chinos ($15), a Harlow blouse for $10, madras cami ($10), button downs ($15) and a few dresses. I got a black knit dress for $20. I stopped by quickly but plan to go back and dig some more tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone sees any Salina Flats (they are the patent solid colored flats from this season) in black, red, navy, or aqua (not grey or yellow) in an 8.5 I would love to have them and will compensate you for your time! Also interested in the LuLu flats in 8.5 in yellow or honey.
ReplyDeleteEmail is jesta2 at wm dot edu
Thanks in advance!
Also, I'll be calling several of the TJ Maxx in southeastern VA tomorrow and if they have shoes I will visit and report back!
i am def interested in lulu heels pink, sienna or grey size 8 please!!
ReplyDeleteI hit a couple of San Diego stores again tonight and they had put a few more things out, but not much. I found some shoes for Vic and dresses for Megan, but if they don't want them, I'll post them here for cost. No lulus or anything like that yet.
ReplyDeleteI, like, 52 other gals on here would love any heels in a 6.5 or 7 (lulus, etc) or non-rubber flip flops in a 7. :) I'd love to pay cost, since I'm only charging others that price. One can dream, right?
Sherbie, I shipped your Lucies today...enjoy!
