J.Crew Email: Free shipping + J.Crew = Love.

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Slastena, Anon at 10:18AM, & Drewablank (in this post) & Marietta, as well as Anon at 11:24 AM (in this post) who let us know that J.Crew is offering new promotion codes.

J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of: $100+ with promo code LOVE; $125+ with promo code SWEETHEART; $150+ with promo code XOXO; & $175+ with promo code BEMINE. This offer expires 2/11/09.

{yey for promotions!}

  1. Another Code:

Enter BEMINE for free shipping on orders of $175 or more. It's good through Feb. 11.

  2. it's interesting that they now have three tiers... usually it's only two different amounts for a promo but this time its
    love for over 100
    xoxo for over 150
    and bemine for over 175
actually, those are the three i've seen, but now i wonder if there is another for 125!

  3. Did anyone see a sale section update today?

  4. Its odd, I always get the free shipping code for the most expensive amount. I wonder what they base it on. I never order very much at once online, so maybe they are trying to encourage me to buy more? I always laugh a little when I use the better code I got from JCA and wonder if their poor computer algorithm is breaking itself trying to figure out which code to send me next time.

  5. I wonder how they decide who gets what code? I got the "BEMINE" one, not the others.

  6. I was really hoping for a percent off :( I hope this isn't it

    ReplyDelete
  7. Where's the EXTRA percent off?

    Hint hint JCrew

  8. Honestly, as a J.Crew card holder I feel that I should get free shipping no matter when or what I buy. The card has so few perks. Free shipping should totally be one of them

That said, an order I placed came in last week. Love the rosette tee. It is fab.

  9. Yes, what's up with the different codes for different customers? I received an e-mail from JC this morning with the BEMINE code. I tend to spend $100 to $300 per month at JC (a habit I MUST stop, arrrghhhh!), so perhaps they assume that I should have the $175 deal. Anyway, I won't be taking advantage of this latest promotion since I splurged on about three things over the weekend on the FINAL SALE (Quinn Cami in Pale Almond, Whisper Lame Zoey Tank in Nectar, Solid Annette Blouse in Honey Glaze, and the Leopard Lawn Annette blouse). The 2009 Spring Catalog is so bland (with a few exceptions), and my wallet is relieved.

  10. Anon @ 1130 am,

That's so strange! I did get the middle one, the SWEETHEART for free shipping on orders for $125 or more. Funny. I do wonder how they determine who gets what code.

  11. I too got the code for $175. You know, if I got the codes for the lesser amounts I would be more likely to buy. You wuold think J.Crew would realize that about a good share of their customer base.

I am thankful for this blog for sharing all the codes. Plus it is interesting to see who gets what and try and figure out why!

  12. This is probably a silly question, but why not have one free ship code for 100+. Wouldn't that take care of all the people who spend $150, $175...what am I missing?

  13. Anon 12:27 p.m. -- You are so right about free shipping as a regular perk on the JC Credit Card. It stands to reason that if a person gets a JC Card it's because they really like JC merchandise, so why don't cardholders get some perks??? The J.Jill Card offers the extra 5% off on all purchases, something that I appreciate (and sometimes cardholders get and extra 10% off). JC needs to take a long, hard look at its customer base and implement policies that are designed to keep and increase that base. OK, I'm off the soap box now! Thanks for reading.

  14. They actually do determine who gets what code by who is more likely to buy. If you are less likely to buy you get the lesser amount needed to qualify for free shipping. If you spend a lot and frequently you have the higher amount. I don't think this is a smart move on their part as most people are aware of multiple codes, but that is how they determine who gets what code.

  15. Awk! Should have known it was some kind of sneaky marketing ploy.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I am hoping they put out a code in the next couple days. it's been so long....

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't spend much with J.Crew at all, but they still sent me the $175 code.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I doubt that I'll use any of the Free Shipping codes...would love to see another 30% off code, though!

    ReplyDelete
  19. So... how long 'til the website starts crashing as a result of the new codes (esp. the one for f/s @ $100+?)? Or has it already? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Has anyone been able to try on the Icon Trench? I'm trying to decide between 2 sizes. I'm a bit concerned about the color, too ... it looks kind of dark. Any help is greatly appreciated! I might use this code to get it! TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I've noticed I usually don't get excited about codes for $150 - $175 because they come so frequently, but if there's a code for $100, then I''l usually see what I've been waiting to order. The ironic part (that I'm sure their marketing already knows) is that I will likely end up spending over $175 anyways, even if I intended to only use the $100 code.

  22. Great news! I want to order a coat. Can anyone give me a review on the Taryn Peacoat? Is it true to size, how does the wool feel. I am in love with my Shipley so I am hoping it has a similar feel in regards to the wool.

  23. hey Orange County JCA's, the JC shoes finally made it out to TJ Maxx. About 40 pairs total at the District TJM. They are still putting them out so ask for Roxanna if you can't find them. I got 3 pairs of size 8 - silver driving mocs, a strappy mid-heel gold sandal and I don't know the name of the third - a spectator pump with ankle strap in gold, royal and navy that I saw in stores this fall. There were beautiful gray Lulu's and gold ballet flats in 8 also. I called the Santa Ana store and they said they are Not getting any shipments. Hope this helps someone!

  24. Just got things using the free shipping code LOVE.. thank you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Let's hope there would be a "MARRYME" 30% off code! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well damn! There's a whole bunch of free shipping codes and no discounts.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Just curious. For those who can apply the student/teacher discount, which one do you choose when there are also free shipping codes. Sometimes, knowing student/teacher discounts are higher, I choose free shipping just to avoid asking for the discount.

  28. Here is a props to J. Crew. I went in in into a B&M store, and they didn't have what I wanted in the store. I placed a phone order, and though I wanted to order more, my 2 year old was crazy. When I got home, I called to add to the order. Well, it was already released. But the nice lady on the phone gave me free shipping on the sweatshirt and hat I bought my daughter. Thank you J. Crew.

  29. Anon 7:26

I've always had luck asking for both. I didn't know that it was taboo and I had to choose btwn one or the other.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Anon 7:41,

You are lucky. I do not ask for both promotions anymore. Last month, one SA was even reluctant to apply the student/teacher discount coz I didn't call them right after placing the order online. I do not want to feel I am begging for anything from jcrew.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Did anyone see the site update all today or yesterday?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I actually received the LOVE email today...I usually get the emails with the higher minimum...maybe they switched me since I haven't purchased much online lately? I wonder if your status changes depending on how much you purchase per quarter or season.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anon 8:03: I usually email my educator discount requests after I place an order, takes some of the bite out of that "asking for a favor" feeling. Just be sure to email from your school address.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Anon 8:03

don't feel that way! it's your hard earned dolllllassss! : ) better get the best deal you possibly can.

they do on occasion make me feel like they're giving me the biggest favor of a lifetime, but i chuck it up... the student/educator discount is nothing to scoff at. : )

  35. To Anon @ 4:42: I recently ordered the Taryn coat in heather charcoal, size 12, after I'd admired its design for a while. Beautiful coat! Soft wool, and an unexpectedly lovely lining. (This is my first J Crew coat. I was truly surprised by the lining!) Love the contrast between the sweet ruffled collar and the menswear-ish heather gray wool. Love the dropped waist in the back. I'm 5'11 with broad shoulders, and this design just seems made for me.

That all said, fit isn't completely perfect. The collar feels a bit snug when buttoned up, and there's a bit too much width around the waist. Shoulders fit well with a thin sweater - J Crew merino is fine ;-) - but can't accommodate a heavy sweater. The sleeves are a tad too short (of course, all regular sleeves are too short on me...), but I actually expected worse from the photos on the web, where they look like bracelet length sleeves. There's some material in the hems (sign of a quality coat IMO), so I'll take it to a tailor to have the sleeves lengthened a bit.

Overall, a beautiful designer piece I'll love and wear for years. Unless you're quite short, I'd say go for it.

  36. anon @ 5:25 pm - did you notice any shoes in 6.5 at the district? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anon @ 11:42 -- I wish I'd paid more attention but there were NOT a lot of shoes and they were still jumbled up in a plastic shipping box, hadn't even been put out on the rack yet. That being said, I think I saw one or two pairs marked 6 and 6.5 but I can't remember what styles. I would have taken photos but it everything was such a mess.

    ReplyDelete
  38. No problem! I might have to sneak in a visit to TJMaxx tomorrow =)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anon @ 5:25 - I was at the District TJM twice today (around 3pm and 7:30pm) and only snagged one pair of spectator pumps. When I asked about others, they said there were NONE. I'm so bummed, I was looking for Lulus!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Boo. I bet someone came in and scooped up all the JC shoes. Does anyone know if stores are getting more than one shipment of JC or restocking on multiple days?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Did the sale update today at all? I can't get jcrew on my blackberry! I called customer service but she didn't know

    ReplyDelete
  42. I caved and used the LOVE promo early this morning for some final sale mocs , a paisley necklace, and one of the new "pearl" cluster bracelets. I've yet to ask if they can combine it with my student discount, but the free shipping is about the same as the 15% so I'm ok either way. Here's hoping it ships (correctly)!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hey! They used my handle as a code! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. I have two different email addresses on file and I received LOVE on one & SWEETHEART on the other... I spend more on the one that said LOVE. Who knows...

    ReplyDelete
  45. i'm really note quite sure where to put this, but i need to profess my love for the stadium cloth lucinda coat!!! i just received it today, and it's just LOVE LOVE LOVE! i was concerned about the chest pockets, but omg, the fabric is luscious, the fit is superb! i can't say enough wonderful things about this coat! i love it!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh, I hear you on the Lucinda! I love my stadium cloth Shipley and the fabric is a big part of it. Yesterday I wore it in 30 degree weather, walking 20 mins from parking to office. The jacket was so warm and cozy, even though I was wearing only a silk blouse underneath. Well, wool trousers as well...
This was my first stadium cloth coat and the fabric is supposed to be warm and it sure lived up to that billing. I will be looking for stadium cloth again next year when the new styles come out.
I originally wanted the Lucinda but a friend chided me that ALL my coats were double-breasted or at least double-buttoned so I tried a new shape and it is so flattering and comfortable. I was really motivated after seeing the IRL photos on Slastena's blog. She has so many wonderful photos and comments, it's a great resource.

J.Crew is definitely famous for their coats for good reason and this year they were famous for some incredible deals too.

    ReplyDelete
  47. i'm the anon who LOVES the lucinda, actually i've tried several coats this season, and none of them worked out. all of them were too big or not warm enough, but this coat is just awsome! i am kicking myself for finding it so late, but glad that i have it now.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Another rave for the Lucinda. The fit and fabric are perfect and it is oh-so-warm. It was such a deal at $83.
