Madewell Email: The bag you'll covet.

Madewell sent another email, this time featuring their Soft Satchel ($198). The bag does look super cute. I am also a big fan of the handle/ messenger strap combination- I like options!. I am just curious about its size in real life (is it a medium or large size bag?)

They are also reminding us that (1) we can check out their Spring looks (click here); and (2) Madewell is offering 15% off all purchases with the printable coupon found here on their Facebook page. This offer expires 2/28/08.

    Oooh, I love it! But I don't need another $150+ bag at the moment... :( Granted, I -want- more bags, but alas, I shall abstain!

    I like the color combo but the perfect round hole made me think of the new towel bar we just installed! No purses for me - definitely not on the need list.

    A former project runway contestant had bags like this...and they were not well received! Hate the handle.

    I wonder when I'll start coveting this, esepcially at that price. I feel like I've seen this style before at Target, or maybe Gap/ON. Not really worth $192 no matter what material it's made with IMO.

    cute, but I need a *normal* looking bag, I have too many 'weird' bags in bright colors/prints-- it's so hard for me to find a plain brown/black/grey bag I like, and that's affordable! If only the grey quincy hobo were on final sale/clearance for $50... :)

    I think it's cute, but not $198 cute...I thought Madewell was supposed to be reasonably priced...

    Very cute, but I agree w/everyone that it is not $198 cute. I *do* like the claim that it can be worn as a messenger. I like the slung bag look at times.

    definitely coveting the (red) color combo, but not the hugeness of the handle. it looks like it's almost the same height as the bag part. i'd only get it if the overall size is small.

    i have this bag and its super duper heavy.. without anything in it.
