I didn't visit J Crew, as I live in Australia, but I did receive the Soft pencil skirt in rosewood and have posted a brief review on my blog.

Briefly, don't mind the fabric even though it's poly. It would be awful for summer, but fine for Autumn or spring. No petite sizing, but it fits me ok, if a little long on my petite 5' 2" stature. I may get it taken in an inch or so on the hips and waist. The pattern is beautiful and I love the centre split.
All-in-all a good buy!
I did go this weekend. Local stores were offering 40% off final sale items. Lots of merino sweaters, embroidered floral tees, Minnie ants in foulard, you name it.

DeleteI purchased the Minnies this weekend in store. They actually made my 5' 1" legs look long. Purchased my usual minnie size, now if it would just stop snowing, I may actually get to wear them.
