25% Off Dressed-up(ish) Styles

"Thanks!" to  many of you, including Rose (in this post), who shared the following email & promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering 25% off select dressed up styles for the whole family with promotional code SPRINGISHERE. This offer expires April 9, 2014. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on the purchase of items in the Dressed-up(ish) Styles assortment in J.Crew stores and at jcrew.com from April 7, 2014, 12:01am ET through April 9, 2014, 11:59pm ET. Offer only valid on items listed in the Dressed-up(ish) Styles assortment at jcrew.com or as advertised in stores. Offer not valid in Liquor Store or Ludlow Shops; in 769 Madison Avenue, Bloor Street or J.Crew Factory stores; at jcrewfactory.com; or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. To redeem, enter code SPRINGISHERE in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
This is a fine promotion if the item you are interested happens to be selected for the additional 25% off. However, I find it hard to even justify 25% off a full priced item when it will eventually go on sale for an even greater discount (with an additional 30-40% off on top of that).

Lastly, are stores offering an additional percent off in stores? The stores have been offering 40% off Final Sale, but I am curious if they will continue. Honestly, I hope they do. There is so much in the sale section that is lingering from last year. Random pop-backs of J.Crew of yore... just crazy!

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, please share!

  1. Ugh. I really dislike these random -items- hodge-podge sales. I agree with Alexis that I would be reluctant to pull the trigger on any full price items since they will likely go on sale with % off at some point. There are a few promo items included like the crackled metal Everly pumps that could be worthwhile.

  3. What is wrong with that model? It looks like she used an ineffective eye-makeup remover.

  4. I am sure that this is out of place for today's topic but am I wrong to think that JCrew really passed off the striped PJ short set with the white linen blazer (in the One Piece/2 ways feature)? Is that really an outfit that one would wear outside the house? JCrew couldn't find real shorts cute enough to display the jacket with? Or is the PJs set that cute that it is wearable outside the house as loungewear? I was just a little perplexed by that display and thought that maybe I missed the boat on the concept...

    1. HAHA i saw this too! And I got excited for a second thinking they had a cute romper that I had maybe missed on the website. Then discovered it was a pajama set and was beyond confused.

    2. I ordered the pjs and sent them back...they absolutely could not be worn out of the house...don't know what they are thinking with that outfit. The pjs are very thin...and shaped weird...my usual XS didn't fit right...the top is sort of Aline if that makes sense. No one would wear these out of the house.

    3. I also purchased the pj's and returned them due to sizing/fit. There is no way anyone in their right mind would wear those out of the house!!! They are really reaching.

  5. Nothing I need. I'm more in clean-out mode than buying mode right now.

  10. got the MERINO SWEATER IN CHAMBRAY EYELET in soho for $23 with the extra 40% off still $79.99 online. wouldn't have gotten it but was too good to pass up.
wish the 40% was online too. was regretting not getting the LINEN MOONGLOW PAISLEY TEE when it was in the store but it's back online for $29.99, keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't immediately sell out in a small if it goes to extra% off ;)
