  1. Went into the store at Columbus Circle (NYC) yesterday with a huge pile of online returns and was again impressed with their polite and professional attitude. Now I could start venting about all these ill-fitting pants I ordered and had to schlep back, but I won't :-) Thank you for great customer service with a smile!

On the way out I couldn't resist the sale section which was stocked with quality stuff - shirts, sweaters, Emma flats, perforated flats, perforated loafers, jewelry, pants, kids' stuff, ... all for nice prices minus 40%. Those shoes, for example, all came to $60 and the two shirts I tried (grey striped silk and dark blue keeper chambray) to $36. Took home the Merino mesh-sleeve sweater in navy (A2805) and Lightweight merino tunic sweater in beautiful "haven blue" (A1917) for $36 each. Fit is slightly loose on both and just right for spring. I may have a slight merino addiction...

    2. Yes, but I didn't see any silver ones. The ones out were a light nude kind of color & I didn't check for other colors as I wasn't going to buy shoes anyways. Just impressed with the low prices, amazingly low really compared to "sticker" or even, as now online, sticker minus 30%.

  2. I love my wool Jules dress from a few years ago, but hate taking it to the dry cleaner. Has anyone tried washing the dress? I have a front load washer with a hand wash cycle.
    Thanks!

    1. I don't have the dress so please take my advice with a grain of salt:

I use Dryel (for the dryer) to freshen dry clean only clothes in between visits to the dry cleaner. It's a little bag that you toss the clothes into with a wet dryer sheet thing. Comes with a spray to target arm pits and stuff. 30 mins in the dryer then hang your clothes up and you're done.

    2. The Laundress wool and cashmere wash is amazing on my sweaters. Not sure if you want to try on your dress but a potential possibility?

    4. Thanks for the tips everyone! I have washed wool sweaters with great success. I wasn't sure about the dress since it's woven, not a knit, but maybe it's similar enough to a wool coat. Thanks again.

  4. I received my 3rd pair of Eaton boy trousers yesterday and I am impressed. The tailoring is flawless, the fabric high quality, the packaging careful (pants hanger, protective tissue paper, ...). I even like the font they use! What a pleasant experience. Bonus: the pants are the same exact color as my gray schoolboy blazer. Awesome job, J.Crew!
