Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. For anyone looking to buy the retail white toothpick jeans, in store there is a 25% off the whole store deal that is not on select items only. It made me pretty happy, since the online deal did not let me use the current promo to buy them. Shopping in person, sometimes works out to be a great deal!

  2. Will be continuing to review Factory items as fast as I can. Just put up the fish print sanur dress (thumbsup) & a pretty, bright sheath w/pockets (thumbsup) in this post.

    1. Also, I am looking for an older item, so I know chances of finding it are slim, but if anyone does happen to see the crinkle boy shirt in black check, size 0 or 2, will you please let me know? Email is: allthingssimplified.me@gmail.com. TIA! :)

    2. Melissa, the email I received from J.Crew yesterday stated 25% off your full price purchase in store and 40% off sale items good through Sunday.

On topic...hoping to stop in briefly tomorrow as I have a return to make

    3. I was in-store last night and the 40% promotion was on for Final Sale items.

    3. freaking FINALLY. I think this might have been a big reason why I literally haven't purchased anything from J. Crew online the past month or so...

  5. I was in the store last night and got 40% off my final sale items. Got the puff sleeved blazer in red and the nora perforated flats in gold. I hadn't loved the puff sleeve before because the sleeves were a little short on me (I'm 5'7"), but the red is such a nice fresh spring red and at $78 I felt it was doable. I wanted to try the new matchsticks since they are 25% off but I was sort of in a hurry. Definitely a decent deal if you have your eye on something FP though!

  6. If anyone was looking for the Stripe Sleeve Tee, it's been restocked online in both colors {no sale though}

  7. Going in tomorrow to make some returns. What is with the continuation of the giant arm hole dresses? Half my bra is hanging out! Why must they cut the arm holes like that? It RUINS such cute dresses.... UGH.

    1. agreed, I have tried to get them altered by bringing the shoulders up- but that moves the waist up so it never works out...then I have a ruined ruined dress that can't be resold.

    2. I'm curious which dresses you are referring to. I am tempted to order a few on-line, but won't bother if they have 'giant armhole syndrome'.

    3. Last year's giant arm hole dresses were the red white and blue stripe dress and the scallop dress, both now at factory. I kept both of them, but it's really not attractive. This year I am returning the matelasse sheath dress which is a shame because it's beautiful. Hoping to keep the photo floral dress for a summer wedding, but not sure what to do to not look like a slob.

Federal Agent Fashionista, I was thinking of having the shoulders taken up and one of the VPSs actually suggested that, but i won't now. So annoying.

    3. Thanks for sharing the style guide, Ina. Now I can relax a bit this weekend, and not have to wait till Monday on Pinterest!

The May stuff is much better than April's. Lot's of different styles and COLORS to suit everyone's taste...

I like that tee with holes that is featured on Jenn + Her Mom. I hope its affordable, even if its a collection piece.

The Cleo D'orsay looks cute. Also the Sophia Webster shoes..too bad its not in my budget. :(

I also like the Floral Surf Dress..but not brave enough to wear it myself. :)

I was in the store and saw a few fun new things like a thick cotton (not sheer linen) football style 3/4 sleeve t, and 25% promo, tons of 40% off different things than online. My name is Cheri so this next rollout literally has my name on it and I am compelled to buy all those items!

  16. Returned a linen tee (sheer enough-in navy-that my nude bra was visible) in-store yesterday, and was surprised to see the colorblocked/mesh inset merino sweaters were in-sale for $69.99 pre-40%. Not a love for me, so didn't buy. Did bring home the mesh-sleeve merino baseball sweater in navy (all colors in store were $59.99 pre-40%, I think). It's a basic, but punched up, and the mesh sleeves mean I can wear it a little further into Spring without overheating. Liked the curved hem, too. Loose-fitting; took the smaller of my two sizes.

    1. I hear ya' rcb! I tried going back a few times thinking it may grow on me, but no. I used to love stopping by on the way home to browse the large sales section but no longer with the new store. Better for my wallet, I guess! That sucks there was no SA to help you!

      Delete
    2. It is awful, awful, awful! I've been four times now and each time I hate it more. If one more SA tells me it is the same size as the old store, I will scream. I don't even want to browse. There is no room to move, customers are bumping into each other, sale section is the size of a shoebox. There is not one redeeming quality I can think of. Ugh!

  22. I stopped by 5th Avenue around lunch time. I wanyed to try jeans mainly and see if they had some of the new catalog items (they didn't have many). I tried the new tunic that is on the cover of the new style guide. I liked the fit a lot but I can't stomach to pay $88 for poly (even with the current storewide 25% off). I must be the only one one because my size was already soldout in a couple of colors. I tried a couple of Point Sur jeans and I found them a bit stiff. The white ones looked terrible on me, unless I was in the wrong size, but I liked the ones with the raw hem (although I wouldn't buy these FP). I have pics of the tunic and jeans on insta. I came home with a pair of Malta sandals in black, they are a bit overpriced for what they are but they look supercool and the 25% off helped. If you are a H size, I would size half down probably, my regular size is a tad long but not as much as to size down a whole size (and they don'ymt come in half sizes).

  23. I went to the factory store at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago today: 50% off everything with clearance at 60% off. Not to be combined with the student/educator discount, but somehow they let me because one SA told me otherwise. Also got a coupon valid 4/22-5/18 for 20% off a purchase of $100 or more. My friend shopping with me did not though so I'm not really sure how they choose to give these out. May be worth asking for if you don't get one and you're interested.

  25. I decided to stop at the Factory store yesterday since I was near it to check out the new arrivsls in person. I had put myself on a clothes shopping ban for a few weeks to focus on others need like organization items, but couldn't resist the 50% off at the factory store!

I tried on a lot, but just ended up with punk floral shorts...love. I took a size down (4); I usually take a 6 in in the chino shorts. I tried on the white pull on shorts and they were a pass, just like the retail version. They still remind me of OP shorts I wore growing up..late 80s.

I liked the citrus (tangerine) button down shirt better this time around....fabric is soft and not the thin cotton/silk of the retail version. Also tried the chambray pocket popover...tts, but the arm holes were a tad too big (this seems to be an issue with a lot of the tanks I try here). Finally, tried the printed vneck tunic. Loved the colors, especially the royal blue trim. Took a small (I am a 6 in button downs, btw) and it just fit. Not sure how practical this was...too long for shorts and not long enough for a cover up in me. So cute though...

  29. I received the sailor stripe rash guard swim top this weekend as one of my birthday gifts. I just want to give a few comments on this because sun protection is really important to me. Anyway, I had skin cancer and last week had another biopsy which scared the s&it outta me--luckily it came back negative. Still, I'm extremely cautious when it comes to laying out in the sun..and I love the beach so it's an issue. Anyway, I received this sailor-strip rash top and have to say it is fantastic. I'm not a skinny Minnie and the large was perfect..It is fitted, but not tight. There is no essence of feeling like a stuffed sausage..in fact, the top is extremely flattering. Much better than a tankini..and the top IS recommended by the Skin Cancer foundation. The color is the blue and white stripe with that little collar color being bright orange..perfect b/c I already have an orange bikini so when it gets really hot and I'm under the umbrella I can take the top off. The zipper on the back is also a great plus to the shirt b/c the shirt can be taken off without messing the hair.
One thing--I did go into the Madison Avenue store today to see if I could purchase a swim suit and was told that particular store didn't carry swim suits anymore..Guess I'll have to go online and cross fingers that the tops and bottoms are TTS.
Thank you for reading..and seriously ladies..Please protect yourself..surgery from skin cancer isn't pretty!

    1. Fifth Avenue, Rockfeller Center and Time Warner have swimsuits... I ordered a couple of string bikinis and a tank this season and they are TTS. The only one that I found to be off is the striped one with the grommets: the one-piece was very small. HTH!
Thank you for sharing your experience.

  30. I really want to try the Malta sandals. Are they in stores now? I don't see them online. Are they considered "new arrivals" and that's why I'm not seeing them online? I hope they're not sold out! My kids are home tomorrow, but I may have to drag them out to the mall w/me to try them if they're available in the b&m.
