So, I ordered two pairs of the Pixie pant in leather tuxedo stripe, one size 00 and one size 8 (one pair was for a friend). They sent me two size 00. Surely I can exchange one pair for the correct size, even though they're final sale?
ReplyDeleteI've ordered from J Crew heaps and this is the first time it's ever gone wrong :-(
If they shipped you an incorrect item, you can definitely return regardless of final sale policy. You didn't actually "buy" the second 00s. They should also pay for return shipping and to ship the correct size out.
DeleteLooks like some new items on the website today including some new dresses that have raised my hopes a bit although they don't all come in petite. I just can't pay full price for anything though so I'll wait until some sort of promo until then. Still, more merino sweaters and I'm really looking for some cute cotton {or even cotton blend} items for spring. Maybe the linen will work but my last few linen items were strangely itchy on me.
ReplyDeleteAh.. well... some new arrivals... nothing tempting me. Which is leaving me to search eBay looking for some past goodies like the more recent version of the pineapple skirt in size 6.... if someone can help me out. :)
ReplyDeleteThe hair styling of the models in the last few months has been simply awful and distracting. Today's opening new arrivals photo of the model with the super messy hair wearing the gorgeous photo floral dress was so depressing. The hair is a major distraction for me, especially on that model. She may be beautiful IRL, but I can't stand the way she is styled for JC photo shoots. The straggly hair and the drugged-out expressions on almost all their faces is a huge turn-off for me. The models don't seem to like the clothes that they are wearing.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that ad was hideous. I honestly don't know what J Crew is thinking sending out things like that. Are they trying to appeal to our inner grunge?
DeleteDenee - my inner grunge wouldn't be drawn to the dowdy sandals that that messy haired model is wearing. Gotta choose...

I ordered the lace sleeve tee in sky back in March. It was on backorder until May. Last week I saw that it is no longer on backorder and when I put several in my cart it said "in stock". I called and was told that for people who ordered after me it was available for shipment but that for me I still have to wait for May 11th., the only option they offered me was to cancel the order, reorder the top, then call them with the new order number so they could waive the shipping and apply whatever discount code I had originally used in March. I spend thousands and I mean thousands of dollars at J Crew every year and I am SO insulted by this.
ReplyDeleteThat is the craziest thing I have ever heard!! Way to lose a customer. Wow. So sorry to hear this.
DeleteI have never heard of something so ridiculous, even for J Crew. Maybe your VPS was having a bad day. You need to check with her again, or send an email directly to Mickey/his assistants.
DeleteI wore my Jennifer Meyer for JCrew bracelet for the first time last week. I put it on my nightside table and it fell. Not one but four of the stones (or pieces of glass) came off their respective casts. Now, mea culpa for dropping it but I would expect that a bracelet that costs that price would stand mote than this (it's not like it fell from the top of a skycraper). I could put them back as it looks like they just snap into the cast but now I am afraid that they will fall off without my noticing. Any suggestion? My husband wanted to put superglue on them and I almost fainted!
ReplyDeleteEma, if you want to try to repair the bracelet, I strongly recommend G-S hypo cement. It will work on both the stones and the settings, and it dries completely clear. It's a medium strength adhesive, which is plenty strong enough to hold the stones in place. This guide to glue types and their uses may also come in handy. Good luck!
DeleteThank you innisfree, I might try that!
DeleteMy Madewell Twill Tape Slub Tee developed holes. I wash it on gentle cycle and hang to dry. Soo upset as it was my favorite. There are 3 holes, so I don't think its just a defective shirt. What a disappointment.
ReplyDeleteGRRRRRR I ordered the camo tee and they thought they had inventory but it was false !!!??"#(%&#*(#%(%#
