Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

The baby panda, Bao Bao, at the National Zoo in DC. She is outside playing with her mom right now; ADORABLE! Last time I went to see her, her keeper said she had only ventured outside once and prefers to stay indoors. This is the first time I have seen her outside on the panda cam.

    1. Seriously, who needs shopping when you have panda cam?

    2. I couldn't get the Panda Cam to work on my laptop (just a white screen), so I downloaded the Smithsonian App. I can look at Bao Bao and all the other animals all the time, even when I'm in J.Crew. In fact, I will use my mobile Panda Cam to distract unsuspecting shoppers from grabbing the last item I desire in my size . . . look, isn't she so cute! (while I sneak away the Swavorski Crystal Dot Necklace in Blue Grotto from her loosened fingers . . . )

    4. JD, you are so funny! Glad you guys liked the panda cam; I hesitated before posting something so OT! I have never seen any sort of baby as cuddly as panda babies!

  2. No trip to a J.Crew store for me, but there are a couple of items I'm contemplating getting with the extra % off online. Hoping for a couple of things to popback in my size, too. :)

  3. I'm probably going to visit the Fairview store this weekend to return the long sleeve Sailor tee, which I bought last week. I know that top has gotten a lot of love from JCAs but it just didn't work for me. The wrists felt tight, the sleeve seams felt uncomfortable and I kept having to yank at the neckline. :-( Very disappointed because it looks so cute.

  5. Panda cam! #idie Can't wait to show Mini G when she gets home from preschool. Thanks for sharing, Audrey S.

George tries on another popover. If you missed the in-store price cuts I shared a couple days ago, they're at the bottom of the post.

No J Crew for me today. I shopped the Kate Spade 25% off F&F. That was fun.

    2. Banana Republic has some super cute rose gold heels and they are very comfortable. I had to size down to a 7 from my normal size 7.5.

  6. I had some time to kill before lunch so I stopped in. The sale section is packed.. if you're looking for something, it's more than likely on sale, ha! 40% off sale is still in effect. The weekend sweatshirt (a1646) is marked to $39.99 before 40% ($45.99 online). The long-sleeve sailor-stripe tee (08677) is marked down to $29.99 before 40% (still FP online minus 25%). The embroidered front tee (a6835) was $44.99-40%, still FP online-25%. So yeah, much better deals to be had in store.

    1. I love the long-sleeve sailor stripe tee, but I am sooo bummed I bought it FP minus 25%. That shirt is a steal at the current price.

    2. same here although i did get a lot of wear out of it since buying it. i grabbed another in the grey at sale price which kinda made up for it, i guess :)

  8. I went yesterday to return stuff at the downtown SF store. Sale section is packed with spring items. There is also special 25% FP items scattered across the store...

I didn't buy anything since I wasn't too thrilled with the last roll-out. I am looking forward to seeing the next roll-out, possibly in a week and a half? Summer merchandise - I can't wait! Hopefully some cute stuff!

  9. my VPS said the new collection was arriving 4/7 in stores... assuming that's newer stuff than the most recent rollout.

  10. Hi, silver_lining! Did you notice if all colors of the sailor stripe tee were on sale? Same question for the embroidered front tee. Thank you so much for the sale update.

    1. Hi shopalot - yes, all three colors of the sailor stripe tee were marked down. I only noticed the grey embroidered front tee in the sale section but didn't look for any of the other colors. HTH!

  11. Thanks, silver_lining. The gray one is the color I'm interested in, so yay! :)

  12. I went yesterday. I got the Embroidered Stripe Tunic as a beach cover-up for $45. It is really cute and will be great for the pool and our beach vacation. I am typically a sz. S and got a sz. XS and it fits nicely w/plenty of room.

  13. Did stop by Park Meadows, CO store at lunch. As mentioned sale section here too was full. Did get the Lattice Medallion Popover for $23.99, they had in 6,8,10 & 12. They had a rack of $9.99 prior to 40% off skirts, which included the Gold Stripe Mini (08174) and Silk Diamond Tile (A1053) sizes 10 & 12. They had the Drapey Crepe Skirt all colors, quite a few sizes $39.99. I did try on but too long on me and I needed to size down from my normal 4 to 2. Also, noticed online the warehouse must have found a box of excursion vests, of course, everyone needs one in April :)

  15. I stopped at the Fifth Avenue store today and as other JCAs mentioned a lot of stuff was on sale. My regular store doesn't have a sale section so to properly speak of and it has been a long time since I visited another store in the city. I apologize if this has already been mentionned but the cubist print pencil was on sale for $139.99 before 40% off. I am blanking on other noteworthy markdowns but if you ask my memory will maybe come back. I got the eyelet chambray merino sweater in XS (that I had previously tried on and judged too boxy in my regular size and too short/small in a xxs. This one was considerably better-fitting, just a tad on the short side but not ridicolously wide so I got it on the spot). It was $47 after discount. All the tees were 25% off as the in-case jewelry.

    1. I just remembered two markdowns that I think are new: silk crepe maxi in black ($119) and puff-sleeve blazer in red ($139). HTH someone!

  17. Wow. Stopped by the SF Westfield B&M Friday afternoon in the hopes of scooping up a l/s sailor stripe tee in gray. They're all gone in all colors already! If someone sees one in their store in size Small, could you please put it on hold for me? Thank you so much!

  18. I have been watching for an item to pop back all week. Last night around 8pm the item was available. The site must be updating more than once a day.

My former VPS, who I miss dearly, used to help me watch for pop backs. If only one item was available she would upgrade my shipping to overnight. As these orders are filled first it helps to avoid the "we wish we had enough..."

  20. My VPS said new arrivals will be online 4/9 but she didn't mention if it was the May rollout or just a mini. Does anyone know?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi Mo - that will probably be a little rollout. The big monthly ones are usually toward the end of the month, so probably April 23rd fro the May rollout. HTH!

      Delete
    2. Hi! My VPS told me it was the May rollout, but she could have been mistaken. Hit the Cree yesterday and purchased the red Campbells (love that style), the foulard Minnies, camo sweatshirt, and a necklace. After 40% and educator's it came to $130. Not bad!

      Delete
    3. I would think it is the May rollout if new arrivals are in store this Monday. They usually have a pattern of showing up online the same week. But I don't know for sure.

      Delete
    4. I think this roll out on 4/9 will be a mini.

The last big roll-out was Wednesday, March 19th, so I'm guessing after four weeks, the next one for the month of May will probably be on Wednesday, April 16th. I hope that's the case because I am so bored at looking at what J.Crew is selling now..

    3. that's frustrating, sigh. I get annoyed with my local store in montgomery mall because they very rarely move sale jewelry out of the case, and so whenever I ask if there's any sale jewelry in there, they just shrug at me and say no. I wish they were more proactive. it's nice that they stack my student discount on sale, but I want to know what's on sale in the first place!

  26. I went to the largest store here today and the sale section was overflowing. Tried on the striped tee and the camo sweatshirt, but didnt buy them.
I just got another on of tipped sweaters in light grey.
    Love it!

  27. The Natick Collection store in MA had a fairly large sale section, including shoes and jewelry. Currently offering additional 40% off (posted on signs in sale section) and they do stack the student/teacher discount. They never stack the discount with promos though. It's a great store with friendly and exceptional staff and well worth a visit.

We are tiptoeing into spring up here in Massachusetts. It still feels funny not to be wearing down parkas. The Merino tipped side-panel V-neck sweater in white did come home with me today though.. Wearing it now and watching the Panda cam. Thanks for the info , AudreyS!

They expect the next roll outs on the 7th and 21st. Hoping for warm weather and some summer colors! And missing some whimsical fun jewelry.

    1. Hi AppGal - I've never tried it but did see one in the sale section of my B&M a month or so ago. It looked and felt very nice - even though the description says silk it felt definitely structured, not floppy - I thought it was cotton at first. I'm not much of a print person but thought this particular one was beautiful. If I had someplace to wear it I'd want to try the dress.

      Delete
    2. @AppGal, I've never seen the dress but I ordered the peplum top. Very well made and the print is beautiful IRL.

      Delete
    3. I purchased and then returned the dress. The fit is very tricky. It's drop waist, so keep that in mind. The skirt flared out too much, and the print was too loud on a petite frame.

  31. I stopped at the outlet store yesterday with the intention of using the Gilt City coupon - they applied the 25% off my $125 purchase but wouldn't stack both - just FYI since I thought I saw a few people asking between here and Instagram. The 25% was off the existing sales in store - clearance was all 50% off - the linen keating blazers are $99.99 in the melon and mint before the 50% + 25% - they're still $95 online.

Dresses were 40% off, vintage tees 2 for $20. My store didn't have any of the punk floral items and it was super crowded so I just ended up with a bunch of basics - tees, black racerback tank maxi dress for $28, and the pintuck ponte dress for $44 (am now seeing that this dress is a better deal online with the 25% off Gilt code).

My friend picked up the multicolor stripe dress for $55 with the 40% + 25% off.

No retail trip for me but I did order the Moonglow paisley blouse on popback, I saw an SA with this blouse on at my store and liked it better in person than online so looking forward to styling it.

  32. I didn't visit this weekend. The mall near me has started to get super crowded on weekends as it's getting warmer. I did however stalk pop-backs on the website. I scored a few beauties that I've had my eye on and I'm good. I'm so looking forward to the new arrivals.

  33. I got the new floral A-Line skirt today, which I feel in love with in store. I don't think I have ever paid full retail price for anything at J.Crew, but I couldn't resist this. I'll post pictures on my IG account tonight at @marielarue7.

  36. The siren song lured me in : ) However, I am so glad because I was able to get several things on my wishlist with the help of my in-store VPS. The sale section was full, but sizes were spotty, so I lucked out. My VPS said that she thinks the 40% off in-store will probably run through Wednesday. After the love for the leather stripe pixies, I decided to try them and they were as amazing as I was hoping they would be. Nice sturdy fabric that smoothed instead of accentuated : ) My VPS recommended sizing down as they stretch, so I took her advice.

  37. Off-topic, and perhaps too much information - but has anyone got the Peacoat Trench and noticed that it smells very strongly? I noticed the smell when it first arrived in the box, and thought it would fade, but it hasn't. I know it's the waxed cotton, as I knew someone with a Barbour waxed cotton jacket and it also smelled very strongly. I love the style of the jacket but the scent is really noticeable, especially when it warms up. The instructions say to machine wash. Has anyone tried washing their coat?

    1. As we seem to be trading lots of laundry info this past week, I thought I would add here that I've been soaking smelly laundry in borax before laundering. I use OxiClean for stains in light-colored materials, and borax for smells in both lights and darks. Both seem to be easily found in the laundry section of stores.
