Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I scorec two pairs of Great winter textured tights in grey and black from the sale section for $3.89! No really! I thought the girl at the registers eyes were going to pop out of her head. She kept asking if "they" had any more of "these". hahaha! Of course not silly, I bought them all.

  2. I made two trips this weekend - on Friday to Columbus Circle, where I scored the charter skirt in light flax for $49 (I was looking for the green but it was sold out) and the Wednesday poplin skirt in a peachy/rose color (anyone know the color name?) for $39. They had tons of both in many sizes, as well as the Wednesday poplin skirt in burnt sienna. At full price, I bought a Jackie cardigan in lilac and a cork/gold headband which isn't on the website yet.

Made another trip (this time to Rock Center), in search of the Garrison tote, a sale item ($99). Unfortunately, I didn't see any on the floor and the sales associates were less than helpful. The SA that I approached stated that their policy regarding stock checks has changed. Instead of doing a quick search and telling me, "The following NYC stores have your item, would you like me to place it on hold?" you have to leave your name and number, they can't search sale items, and they won't hold sale items. Arrgh! This left a bad taste in my mouth, so I went across 50th Street and dropped some dough at Anthropologie in retaliation. There! That'll show 'em!

  3. My coworkers and I had a private shopping party at our local B&M this past weekend. It was fabulous.
I bought the following items and reviewed them on my blog (with IRL pics):
Starfish dress, starfish cinema shorts, cotton pocket tee, oak tweed pencil skirt, sequin falls cardigan, frankie mini dress, fiore cotton cardigan, and perfect fit tank.
I also tried on and reviewed the chambray maxi dress, the marin dress, and the neon madras shorts.

Just have to say, I really wanted the neon madras shorts, but when I tried them on, I HATED them. Not flattering at all.
Loved the marin dress but definitely not worth the $128.

  4. Miraculously enough, I did not drink any Crewlade this weekend. I'll make another pass this week to see what's lurking in the sale sections, but overall, I feel oddly sated.

  5. Tracy, thanks for your reviews. I LOVE the Oak Tweed pencil skirt. I wish it came in petite sizes. Regular pencil skirts at JC are usually a bit too big for me. I'm sure I will be in soon to try it on regardless.

  7. Does anyone know if the store is having any additional percentage off for sale items? I called one of the stores here in NYC and I was told no such promotion going on....

  8. Jean - here in california, the Brea b&m was having a 25% off all sale items, but they were final sale. I don't know if it was just on the weekend or if it's still going on. The store at south coast plaza was not having any extra percentage off.

  9. Bought the chiffon tiered tank--new item--in the ivory color and LOVE it. So soft, so pretty, and so me:) Loved the beachy tunic (I think store only) in a peachy color...
