ReplyDeleteThat's a good deal.
ReplyDeleteOT - Loft is having a 30% promo, today only. Irl pics in this post.
Will it matter if the printout has the watermark on it? I happen to have an outlet trip planned for tomorrow! So excited! Thanks for sharing the deal!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, I just got back from the outlet and the coupon worked even with the watermark. I found a blazer that is similar to the Rose Vines Blazer named Printed Paper Poplin Blazer with original price $74 on the sale rack for $39 + 30% off + 20% off coupon. The total was $22!
ReplyDeleteI am headed to an outlet this Friday, so I will take the coupon with me. Thanks so much for providing it! :)
ReplyDeleteI always sign up for offers at the crewlet but I've only received couple promos at the best.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this coupon...I can't wait to check one out soon since I'm hearing and seen great stuff on Dina's blog.
I went to the outlet (Clinton Crossing) today and it was a mess! Veeerrryyy busy, with the artist (embellished) tees 40% off. I bought a couple pairs of chino shorts for $25 (20 after promo), and denim shorts were 29.99. Lots of dresses, shirts (floral, gingham and solid; 60-20% off), tees, last fall's lumiere camis, last summer's orange/pink floral skirts...
ReplyDeleteAs I have never been to a J.Crew outlet, are the items past seasons J.Crew offering that are left overs? Like the Kate Spade stores?
ReplyDeleteOr are they less expensive products with the J.Crew label produced just for the outlet stores, like they do at the Gap Outlets. Not the same quality but similar looks to the original brand?
Or are they factory seconds, like the Coach purse store outlet?
Kumi: While occasionally they will have retail pieces (sometimes even current season ones!) at the outlets, I'd say 98% of the items are specially produced for the outlet (check for the double diamonds on the label; that indicates that the piece was factory-made). They're usually different versions of current season items, or remakes of past season favorites.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there are some seriously cute things at the outlets now. The blue ikat pencil skirt is awesome. I have the yellow one from last year so didn't need two. There's also a peach/yellow ikat maxi dress that was adorable! I was very close to getting a replica of the watercolor tee that came out last year, but held off. Many, many temptations there today, but I came out only with a sweatshirt-esque material blazer which I LOVE. Hope everyone else found some good stuff!
ReplyDeleteKumi, most of the merchandise in the Kate Spade and Coach outlet is made specifically for the outlet store. There is a few retail things in each. If you ask in the Kate Spade outlet which items are retail, they will point them out to you, but most of what is on display is made for the factory store. In the Coach outlet you can tell a factory outlet purse by looking at the serial number inside. A factory purse has an F in the second part of the number. Often they are copies of the retail purses but omit some details.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I was at the Factory Store the prices were high and the quality of the merchandise was not that good...has that changed? I know they are making a lot of prints from previous seasons now. They have also offered *made for the factory* versions of previous years items, such as the Berry-Trim Astrid, Bella, and Andrea jackets, but I know for a fact that the quality on those particular items was not anywhere near the originals (which I own or have seen/tried on IRL). For anyone who has been to the Factory store lately...has the quality improved within the past 6 months?
ReplyDeleteHi FFM - I was actually at the factory store (Woodbury) on Friday and was not impressed. I commented to my sister that I could do better at the B&M with sale prices. They did have a cute Delphine pencil skirt look-alike with more subdued coral colored stripes (not the bright neon ones from last summer), but for $89.50 it wasn't even lined (or with stretch in the material, for that matter). It was absolutely packed there so I didn't look at a lot in detail, but the fabrics seemed a little thin, snd details like linings and reinforced stitching were missing. They did have a look-alike of the braided fabric belt (27171), but I think that price was the same ($45) as the website. I didn't see much that didn't have the double diamonds on the label.
ReplyDeleteThanks silver_lining...that's what I thought. I have always felt the same thing as you on my trips there...not impressed with the merchandise, and feel that I can do better at the retail store when getting the sale prices. Not to say that there isn't anything good at the Factory...the denim is usually ok, some of the jewelry, and occasionally a sweater, but you have to watch the prices, which from my past experience are usually pretty high.
ReplyDeleteI find the same quality and price issues FFM and silver_lining mentioned. But when they have those items or prints I missed in retail it can be great. The sale section usually has some additional percentage off. And when they have promos plus an offer, the quality becomes a lot more palatable :)
ReplyDeleteAppGal, I love that blazer too!!! I saw it last fall but didn't buy because I thought $75 for fleece was a bit much and I didn't know if I would really wear it. Of course I decided I *would* but when I went back it was sold out everywhere. So when I saw they'd brought it back this spring, I decided to snatch it up in both navy and pewter. Thankfully I was there on a day they had a 50%off promo. So that plus whatever offer I had made it a must-have. They fit me beautifully and are machine washable - yay!!
ReplyDeleteChecked out the Gilroy outlet on the way back down OC
ReplyDeleteIt was surprisingly really great, lots of nice summer items. Especially if people are looking for color. So many prints from previous years and some from this year.
Indigo Print Frances Cami (got this)
Ink Dot dress (looks like a copy)
Ikat print maxi, papaya/yellow combo, $70 before extra 20%.
Watercolor print
Neapolitan Sleeveless Tunic (very cute)
Everyday Open Cardigans, in cotton, Black and Magenta
Cotton version of the Silk Gladiola Jacket with short sleeves
Umm what else...there were more prints and lots of promos.
AppGal-
ReplyDeleteAt which outlet did you see the Ikat dress? Thanks!
Erica: I was at the Blowing Rock, NC Tanger outlet store.
ReplyDeleteUgh! I was late reading about the promo and just shelled out 300 bucks at the crewlet this Friday! Do you think they'd honor it if I bring everything back or just the ticket?
ReplyDeleteForgot to ask where do I sign up for this kind of promos? Thanks!
